Sukhothai

Why is it so dark in here?  Black walls, black roof, black floor. It also has an old carpet smell, like dirty feet, reminiscent of the airport security lines.  The decor other than the black is very authentic.  Thai lunches priced around $7.95 for Green Curry Chicken, served with rice, and just enough food.  We went around 2 in the afternoon and there were 4 or 5 other tables of patrons all over the age of 65 [whatever happened to Early Birds?]. Food came out in less than 10 mins it was very tasty.  I probably will go back b/c it's so close to my house, but I might opt for takeout.

Unfortunately this was the worst Thai food I've had in Broward county. I was really disappointed with just about everything- green papaya salad, mee krob, spring rolls, dumplings, soft shell crab, green curry, fresh hot basil. It all lacked the wondrous complexities of great Thai food.  Everything tasted watered down and bland. Thai is probably my favorite cuisine and this really didn't do it for me. I much prefer Siam House and Thai Spice.

I like their Thai Green Curry and Fried Rice. However the one must try is the Thai Iced Tea
