I came to America Social for Sunday brunch while in Florida and had a great time at this bar/restaurant. Â I will say that they are a bit on the expensive side but the vibe and staff at this place is really nice. Â
It's a really laid back environment with TV's circling the entire bar so no matter where you're seated you will still get a great of any game you want to watch. Â
The seating is spacious and comfortable, the booth tables have beer on tap at the table that you can fill your cup and drink from without having to ask the waitress for another round... I thought this was pretty awesome.. Although it can get pricey since they charge by the ounce. Â
Sweet potato fries are tasty and the trio sliders I ordered were as well!
All in all I had a great time here and would revisit next time I'm in Florida.
I know this place is known for the huge selection of beers they serve so perhaps not being a beer drinker I should have avoided it-but the food was soooo mediocre (and I'm being nice) I had to yelp about it.
We went on a Sunday evening about 7-730 and noticed some outdoor seating, so we decided to give it a try after walking by it so many times. ( we are year round dtwn residents). Host was very friendly and hooked us up with a table outside, and after a few minutes a very sweet young lady came over, introduced herself as out server and got us some cocktails. So far so good we think.... Well then we ordered food and we were truly saddened that this place took a fast and furious nosedive towards mediocrity. I order the ASB burger, my partner the Tuscan burger, and we had the spinach dip for an appetizer. To break it down-
Spinach dip -was fair, Â but OBVIOUS that it was not house made, most likely a pre made food service product from a can or plastic tub. Chips served with it also pre made, but not terrible. Repeat-from a can....not cool.
The ASB burger- a thin, wimpy patty that was basically flavorless and had no char or seasoning to it. And the bun (again from a food vendor, NOT fresh made) was stale and very hard to chew....not good at all. All the burgers come with a side, so I got French Fries-cold, soggy and again, frozen out of a bag from a food vendor. Our server was nice enough to bring me hot fries, but they still weren't that good-mediocre fast food (at best) quality.
The Tuscan burger- wimpy sized under-seasoned patty with mushy, cooked arugula and some sort of roasted peppers...and guess what, they came of out a can as well! This was served with a side Cesar Salad that resembled a salad from the school cafeteria lunch line. It was chopped so small and stringy, and the croutons were seriously BURNED so badly they could not be taken seriously.
This is a place for beer lovers who eat before they go. Not sure who the owner/management thinks they are fooling with the horrible cafeteria quality (again being nicer that I should) food, but for the price we would NEVER eat here again. Bleeech...shame since we are the guys that are still here in July and August when many places in town are totally deserted.
Really is, as good as it gets. Great ambiance, fun & friendly staff, on point management and a solid list of craft beer options. I didn't eat, but the food smelled and looked great as it passed my table. The crowd was great also...this will definitely be a regular visit when I come up to Las Olas.
