Red Dog Cantina

Food is awesome, the wings are amazing!! Great atmosphere with a view. And Cory our waitress couldn't of been better! Def becoming a regular spot !

what a horrible experience to work at red dog cantina its no mexican resturant, they sell burgers, wings and fries, the pulled chicken is used as leftovers, beef is old, pork is not cook, they have so many flies in the kitchen swapping over the food, water floods, over the floor, the building is molded roof leaks, they dont have money to even pay their employees, servers are smoking more than they work, then they dont wash there hands before serving your food, i will never recommend anyone to eat there... i will never in my life ...

Went for lunch today.  No hostess but a sign to seat yourself, no problem.  Sat, and waited for a menu.  And waited.  And waited.  We tried flagging down a waiter serveral times and were ignored, one eventually came over to us (after giving menus to a table that sat down about 10 minutes after we got there) and told us in an exasperated voice that they were crazy busy and someone would help us when they could.  Apparently 8 full tables constitutes "crazy busy" for them.  The only reason we stayed is we were catching up with some friends and were in no rush.  That, and Thai on the Beach didn't open until 4:30.

Finally after about 15 minutes (not exaggerating), the bartender brought us menus and took drink orders.  Waited another 10 minutes for drinks.  Margaritas were typical syrupy, premixed concoctions, at least they had Dos Equis on tap.  

We ordered some chips and salsa to start, after about another 20 minutes the bartender came back and said sorry, they were out of chips.  Out of chips?  At a Mexican restaurant?!  She was nice enough to give us a chicken quesadilla that another table had ordered, but had walked out on before the food got there because the wait was too long.  Finally got our food, had a carnitas burrito that was massive but not very flavorful.  The pork tasted like an unseasoned pork butt that had sat in a crockpot for 12 hours.  The pico de gallo had no flavor, they didn't use any lime juice or salt.  Would have rather had a burrito half the size, that actually tasted like something.  Rice was cold, refried beans were pretty good, but how can you mess up opening a can of refried beans and heating them up?  Other people tried a few various tacos, they said they were decent.  Biggest gripe about the food was lack of flavor.  Everything was just very bland, it made Taco Bell look like a fine gastropub in comparison.  At one point I was giving longing glances to the happy people sitting on benches outside Primanti Bros across the street eating french fry-stuffed sandwiches.

Waited another 15 minutes for our check.  The bartender was nice enough to comp us a couple drinks due to the horrible service.  

Overall rating: service: 1 star, food 2 stars.  Definitely would not return.
