Dearest Owners of Georgie's Alibi:
Rumor has it that Georgie no longer owns this establishment. However, that is irrelevant to this @Yelp Blog; your service outside has dwindled. Luckily, your food is still amazing. Chris, whom I always go to; was running around like a mad man. He was being bus boy and waiter all at once.
Here's a tip, this is a business with employees whom should keep it professional and do their jobs. Be alert of their customers. Yes, this is a gay bar inside but, flirting with your customers/friends while I had to get up three times for needed things, i.e. napkins, silverware and matches; is just unacceptable. You can flirt, not for almost  fourteen minutes like I saw with one of your servers, however. Meanwhile, during my three trips looking for said items and more, two servers standing behind the bar each time, didn't ask me what I was looking for. Sorry, your food is still good but, that is unacceptable.
#GayBar or not, the same standards and #WorkEthics should apply. People are allowed to take their kids there, straight and/or #LGBT. Watch what your servers talk about when everyone can listen. Keep it professional #JustFYI

We hadn't been in "the hood" this year so we thought we'd grab a bite after my beautification treatment Saturday night. Â We were able to get in and get our pick of seats n the patio and took a look-see over the menu.
Since I am/was still coming off oral surgery, I wanted to be careful what I ordered and ate so as to not upset my delicate mouth. Â But when I saw the fried chicken on the menu, I decided the benefit was worth the risk. Â I'm glad I chose this!
The fried chicken on the menu is really more like chicken fried steak but served uniquely. Â A healthy portion of mashed potatoes are placed on the bottom and two fried chicken breasts are served on top. Â It was suggested and I agreed to have my gravy on the side. Â This let me cut up the chicken, then pour gravy on the pieces. Â The gravy and the chicken had a wonderful peppery flavor to them, flavorful but not what I'd call spicy. Â It also came with a side order of cole slaw that I thought might have been sitting too long as the "slaw sauce" had begun to separate a bit. Â It tasted fine but could have been fresher.
My partner got one of the hamburgers as The Alibi is supposed to have one of the best in Fort Lauderdale. Â Seeing them coming out of the kitchen en masse was proof enough of that and he said his order was good. Â I believe it was "the champ".
The waitstaff is VERY attentive. Â We hardly lifted our glasses to take a drink that Todd wasn't asking if everything was alright and did we need something else. Â D'Wayne came around and pulled the shade down to keep the wind off us and we really appreciate that because it's February, ya know, and we didn't take schmatta's!
We always have a good time here and this was no exception. Â Most of the crowd was older but we were there relatively early, when we locals like to go, but it begins to change over as the evening begins. Â I actually think the food here is better than the big, former franchise competition up the street.
Great food! This place is moderately priced, but for the quality, it is justified. What I mean is you may spend a buck or two more for regular bar food, but it is well worth it.
Drink specials are not spectacular in my opinion, but they are not terrible.
The atmosphere is fun and lively, just keep in mind this is a gay bar. So don't go in expecting to pick up anyone unless you are gay. But do expect to meet lots of fun people and have a good time.
