I loved this place when it was Fort Lauderdale Comedy Club. I tried to "like" the new ownership but really it was a bomb. Mostly the same local comedians who I have heard before, including one who is simply NOT funny at all "Liver Kick"...yeah, I don't enjoy watching a drunk person trying to be funny on stage.
The place was always a bit mismanaged, long lines etc....but at least friendly. Now? Horrible waitresses, who interrupt the show, and a really nasty bartender. It is a two drink minimum BUT they were out of many things...and did NOT have a corkscrew to open the wine bottles....unreal. This was ridiculous....they had to send someone out to buy a corkscrew. It was a farce.
I would not go back unless I was certain that they have changed...I have not heard good things about it from others and I won't take the chance. Sorry, This could be a nice place for comedy but from what I saw it needs major help. The shoestring budget they are running on is so cheap they don't have a corkscrew?? No thanks
New comedy club on the rise and  I'm totally in.  Very friendly service.  What I liked most about this place is the seating arrangement.  In other comedy clubs, the seats are set up to fit 1 million people into a tiny space, but The Catskills has their tables spread out enough so you can't feel the guy's breath 3 tables behind you on the back of your neck.
It's tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. Â There's plenty of parking, and it's free... perks, perks, perks. Â
I mean honestly, who doesn't like a comedy club?
