The alfajores shortbread cookie sandwiches filled with dulce de leche are the most compelling reason for my inevitable return. Â It was the best shortbread I've ever had. Â They are extremely sweet and would be well-paired with some strong coffee. Â Also, I had the Chicharron which was good. Â I am too picky maybe and would've liked a version without sweet potato, but instead more pork. Â I needed to add salt as well, and eventually I asked for their chimichurri sauce to enhance it. Â Still, was a neat experience and I hope to try something different next time. Â I loved the alfajores so much, I made sure to take one home with me, for snacking a few hours later.
Review Source:I don't doubt their meat and chicken sandwiches are excellent, but we only eat seafood, not meat, so we ordered two fish platters and both were pretty unappealing. Â The fish in both had a slimy texture and the seafood sauce on one included plenty of overcooked, rubbery calamari and shrimp. Â It looked like typical frozen food service stuff. Â They should either serve only meat dishes or improve the quality of the seafood. Â Very disappointing after reading all the good reviews.
Review Source:really, really solid. The authentic peruvian potatoes with cheese sauce, served luke warm is an absolute must. sandwiches very good and large- not like crazy NY deli large, but enough to take home for later. Â Good, well seasoned meat. Â Very good bread. Â A definite addition to my rotation. Â Cheers
