I really enjoyed dining at Il Vino Toscano. We walked in on New Years Eve for a snack slightly before it opened and without a reservation. After finding out it was my girlfriend's birthday, the owner personally sat us and allowed us to grab a bite to eat before opening. We started with an appetizer of clams and then ordered a lobster ravioli. The clams were pretty good, but the ravioli was outstanding. It was homemade with lots of real lobster. The service was excellent and the waitstaff was very friendly. They even brought out a birthday tiramisu before we left (which was AMAZING).
I would like to see more fish options, but, other than that, two thumbs up and a big thank you for going the extra mile for an average customer.
Nice place...we arrived after finding out that the other restaurant we were going to go to had a 2.5 hour wait. Â The staff was attentive and friendly and the food was good. Â The decor is very Italian and the wine was a little overpriced. Â The owner was very friendly and checked up on us after dinner.
All in all, though, it was a surprisingly nice experience! Â We'll be back.
It was okay! Â
We walked in the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We were surprised  to see so few people in the restaurant.  This place is the former owner from "When in Rome" that used to be based at Oakland and A1A. Â
Service was very nice. Â Some of the female staff was interesting. Short skirts, pushed up bra, tatooed and very very nice. Coming from a gay guy, this is a compliment. Â Overall service was very good and very attentive.
The food was good.  We started with an appetizer of clams in  an lemon sauce.  they were a bit cold and could have be served hotter. Three of us had dinner, one hand a carbonara, another had calamari with linguini, and i had penne puntesca.  All three were okay. Not great, not bad but okay.
The owner, Cesar, is very nice and cordial. This new restaurant deserves a chance. Go for it. they're very nice and you won't be disappointed.
