This is a great bar to meet up with friends and play a round of pool. The atmosphere is calm most nights and the crowd is fairly low key. The bartenders are always nice and accommodating. There is also a large outdoor patio and a sidebar to smoke hooka. You will usually see the same crowd hanging here week after week. Usually not my first choice on a night out, as the drinks and food are fairly pricy...
Review Source:Hope my first Yelp! review is helpful. Â I would like to thank Sharx for inspiring me!
The first time I came here and got a couple of drinks, if that's all you are doing then this place is fine. Â Atmosphere is good for drinking and watching sports.
We went out looking for wings, this place was close and was the only reason we came.
They have an option for boneless grilled wings which you dont really see so I ordered them for my meal, and my girlfriend ordered a BBQ Chili Dog.
First, our appetizer was loaded nachos and the selling point was it had queso on it. No queso on the nachos, and apparently they don't have queso anymore and we got an old menu. Old menu?! Apparently the cost of sliding a piece of paper in a couple of plastic sleeves out weighs losing business?
Second, my boneless wings came out breaded and with bleu cheese instead of ranch. Â Not a big deal on the dressing, that happens all the time. Â So they said I can keep them if I wanted and will get me some new ones and brought out ranch for the wings I wasn't going to eat.
Third, Â the BBQ Chili dog had no BBQ sauce? We didn't know if it was supposed to be mixed in with the chili or by itself? Â They took our menus already so we couldn't look until after our debacle (ya it was supposed to)
Fourth, so a manager or somebody similar gave a brief apology and took my old stuff away because I didn't want it. Â Then another waitress that wasn't ours comes over and is now saying sorry and if you need anything to ask here. Â This got pretty awkward because the 2nd waitress would come over 75% of the time and our original came by the other 25% so now we feel bad for the original waitress (ya, I don't know why either)
FiF! Â I get pretty good at predicting what the next bad move is because I am lucky to run into streaks of awful service and I was betting at least bleu cheese is coming out again. Â BOOM! Here are the grilled wings with bleu cheese again! Â Really just comical to me at this point. Â Just shows no attention to people's orders.
So after messing up every piece of food we ordered  I would have at least expected a free beer at least? Please?  Nope.....this place is awful, save the trouble!
They were actually decent when I finally did get them but
Nice draft selection
A ton of friggin TV's
Food's a little much
Sharx is, without a doubt, the place to watch football on Sundays. There are literally more than 30 TV's in this place, all packed in to one room. The generally have every game on, but if you call a day ahead, you can actually reserve one of the sets for the game you want to watch. I'd definitely recommend you do that, as when my dad came into town we ended up watching the Ravens on the TV above the bathroom, which made for some awkward eye contact with random strangers.
The servers are all very nice, if not a little flighty. If you sit at the bar, you'll get very prompt drink refills, plus a better view of the large projector screen. Of course, if you don't want to watch the Pats on the big screen, you're out of luck.
During the warmer months, there's an outdoor patio, which is great to sit, enjoy a few beers and listen to the Sox play. It does fill up quickly in here on Sundays over the winter and without the use of the deck, so if you're planning to catch a game, get here early for a seat.
The only real complaint about the place, aside from the occasional sound/picture sync issues, is the price of appetizers. I go here to watch games on occasion and really don't want a full mean. Of course, I'm unwilling to pay $7 for 6 chicken wings either. It's entirely too steep.
Great place to watch sports. Nice staff, very attentive. Ok for drinks, food is typical sports pub fare, edible but not remarkable. Â
They have entertainment on the weekend and the function room is very clean and good sized.
Overall, a nice spot for locals, but not a destination if you live out of town. .
Sharx is a sports bar with the requisite TV's (had out of town baseball on when the Sox were done..nice to see they weren't just lazy and put on ESPN) with a pub menu. Lots of sandwiches and apps, nothing out of the ordinary. I had the Buffalo Chicken wrap and it was priced well for what you got. Service was prompt . Sharx is nothing to go out of your way for, but does what a bar and grill is supposed to do. If you are in the area and want a burger and a beer,it's worth a stop.
Review Source:I love the Yankee's and I love great food and atmosphere, well Sharx in Cranston has it all! Â One of the few places that carries ALL the games and with tons of TV's in view it awesome to catch one there! Â The food is very good and consistant every time we go! Â Best burger around! Â The grilled pizza's are awesome as well.....Go Yanks!
