No stars bad service. Unless your a regular you don't get recognized. My bartender moved all around me to get to the usual regulars. What a shame. Won't be back ever!!!!! And will spread the word. Holy smokes been waiting for a beer for 10 minutes what a joke. It smells hear also. Mop the floor and clean your lines for beer.
Review Source:Okay, in an obvious and desperate attempt to wring business out of a long established and successful Chicago landmark, the owners of Sheffield's in Dyer have blatantly stolen what they were not imaginative enough to create on their own; a good name. Â Thankfully, the Sheffield's on Sheffield Avenue in Chicago, just outside of Wrigley Field, is far enough away to avoid all but the most bewildered cases of mistaken identity, but still... Â If you can't come up with your own name, you're probably in the wrong business. Â Then again, one visit to the Sheffield's in Dyer Indiana will confirm that impression.
Review Source:This place was ok. went there on a saturday to celebrate a birthday. drinks were cheap but thats pretty much all it has going for it. the place stinks of cigarettes so be ready to come out smelling like a chimeny. Most of the crowd are older people in their late 30s or so. the bartender was reallyi nice :) the music was ok. i don't think i would go back.
Review Source:Normally I am usually rather kind when I rate places even if I am completely dissappointed with them, but I must be brutally honest with this review.. this place sucks.
I have only been there once but once was enough!
First off I went here on Christmas Eve and I found it strange that the place was jam packed despite the fact that Midnight Mass was going on at the same time, but I had a good reason for being there it was the birthday of one my girlfriend's best friends, anyways that's all besides the point.
The first time I went up to the bar to order our drinks I swear I must have stood there, waiting for the bartender to acknowledge my presence, for at least fifteen minutes. Still, it was not until my girlfriend couldn't wait any longer and came up to the bar and asked me what the deal was, then suddenly the bartender camer over to take our order from her. Why she would take our order from her and not me is beyond me. I have a few theorys but I'm not really sure.
I ended up tipping her a dollar, which was stupid and I will forever regret doing that. Yeah sure it was just a dollar, but it's not a matter of the amount and whether or not I'm cheap, because I tip very generously if I feel a person deserves it and if I have the money to do so at the time.
The thing is after I finished  my beer I went back up for another one because she just walked by us shouting out that it was Last Call.
So again I stood there.. and stood  there.. and stood there.. and stood there.. granite the place was busy, but she saw me standing there and intentionally ignored me for some reason. There were dozens of people holding out money, half of which were after me, that she waited on. In fact I'm positive she waited on every sing;e person wanting a drink for last call, except for me. Then she walks up to me acting like I had just stepped up there and says "Um you can't get anything now, it's too late.".. or something that that affect.
All I wanted was to have two freakin' beers in the bar but NO.
I'm telling you this place is just plain absurd. I wouldn't go back here if someone threatened to torture me with toothpicks. I would be like bring on the toothpicks!!
