I will start right out by saying the waitresses were very nice, pleasant and attractive and attentive and accommodating.  Plus, they have TVs all over the place, including on top of each booth, so that's kind of cool.

Alas, I have to give this place a single star for two reasons:

    1) The food is definitely suburban quality for city prices.  The fish and chips is priced at $14.99, but the fish consists of four pressed fish patties, not real fish pieces.  And the side of waffle fries, while decent and even warm, was a pretty small portion considering what I paid for the meal.  I don't count the coleslaw because I hate coleslaw.

    2) After we'd been there about an hour--and thankfully after we'd finished eating--the strong smell of sewer started permeating the air.  It persisted for the next hour we stayed.  My friend didn't object too hard, so I didn't push the issue.  Plus I hoped that it might dissipate, but it never did.  Finally I just couldn't take it anymore.  I have no idea how the people around us could keep eating through that smell.

As we were leaving, I mentioned the smell (which was actually confined to the booth area) to the host at the door and he said yeah, that part of the restaurant is under a laundry in the hotel or something, which is what was causing it.  And the best part was when he said--and he actually said this--that smell breaks out every couple of days or so!

I can only imagine that this is the area to which rookie waitresses, or perhaps waitresses they're trying to drive off the job, are assigned to, and they probably even refer to that station as The Sewer.  Or if they don't, maybe they should.

I will leave you with this riddle:

Who has two thumbs and ain't going back to Shoeless Joe's?

    Had the rib special..
Tasted boiled and not brine.. Great place to drink and watch a game, especially local teams. Food is there for convenience rather part of the experience..

I have been to Shoeless Joes twice over the past few months and both times I have left unsatisfied with the service. The first time I went with a few close friends. Three of them got the big bucket of beers and my friend and I ordered martini's. The bucket lasted the boys awhile, but when I was ready for another drink my waitress was MIA. By the time she finally got around to us (although there was no one in the bar, she was just missing) we had decided to get the check instead because the wait was so ridiculously long.

The second time that I visited Shoeless Joes was with a larger group of friends. I came late and wasn't planning on drinking anything that night as I was the designated driver. When I just asked for water the waitress roller her eyes. About 10 minutes later she finally brought me my water. I finished it rather quickly which was a mistake on my part because the waitress didn't come back around for another 15 minutes. When my large group was ready to go it took the waitress another 10 minutes to get everything figured out, which is understandable with a larger group, but then she was rude when some said they were paying with cards or needed cash.

As far as the food, I've only ordered the waffle fries and they were subpar. The mixed drinks were decent, and the big bucket was a good deal for my friends. However, the lack of service is really frustrating so needless to say, I don't think I'll be going back any time soon.

I like the big booths and TV screens everywhere. The chicken parm sandwich and sweet potato fries were great. Their dessert of the month, Oreo Cheesecake was light and delicious.  The $3 cider pint was so yummy, I want one right now! Let's go!

Tuesday night.  ALDS baseball on plentiful HD TVs. Excellent craft beer selection. Good service at the bar. Food was decent, but not spectacular pub grub. Ambiance was OK - the fluorescent lighting from the open kitchen was distracting. Overall impression was positive. Great stop if you are a craft beer fanatic like me and are stuck by Ohare airport when traveling to Chicago on business.

I'm not one to get my panties in a wod over the food to be found at sports bars - - hmm...do I want chicken fingers, nachos or french fries? Big decision. Not that I don't dabble in fries every once in a blue moon. So, when our group of 8 bachelorette party strolled into Shoeless Joe's (attached to a hotel at the airport - another red flag) my expectations for the food were not extremely high. To my surprise, it wasn't the food that would be subpar/on the shitty side - it was the service.

The menu actually had quite a few "healthier"/tasty options like loaded chili and artichoke dip. Being the soup phene that I am, I ordered the chili with a "couple" of their $4 vodka special cocktails. I despise vodka, but for $4 I was willing to give it another chance. and another. and another. Marshmallow vodka with coke seems to be the trick for getting me to drink vodka.

Despite the decent food and drink specials, it was the service, or lack thereof, that soured our visit. You'd think with a group of girls who are obviously on a mission to drink you'd try to keep 'em flowing. Somehow with an empty restaurant our skimpy referee-clad waitress achieved MIA status for a majority of the entire evening.

Pretty cool ambiance for a sports bar, their booths have tvs on the individual booths.

Drinks and food were okay, nothing special, nothing terrible.  The drinks were kind of weak.  If they were reasonably priced i could understand but both are pretty expensive.  I guess it's on par for the area, but if your pricing is going to be high, the quality needs to stand out.

And now what really killed the experience, it was 90 degrees outside and the air conditioning was SOOOOO COLD that my friends and me had our teeth chattering & couldn't really focus on anything else.  It might have been an anomaly, so i'll leave the rating at 2 stars because it's a cool atmosphere with a lot of potential but my personal experience there was 1 star.

Might be willing to try again if i'm with a group of people, but wouldn't go out of my way to do so.

I ate here recently as I was staying overnight at the Holiday Inn Express O'Hare -- Shoeless Joe's was just a one-minute walk away.

I wasn't very impressed. It has a fun sports bar atmosphere and a great selection of drinks. Our server, while efficient, didn't seem very interested and/or friendly with us. The food was basically average. My fish sandwich was prepared and fried correctly, but it just didn't seem like it was fresh fish. The bowl that held the spinach & artichoke dip was hot while the accompanying plate it sat on that held the chips was room temperature. This suggested to me that the $11 dip was microwaved and absolutely not worth the asking price.

Like I said, I was staying in a nearby hotel and I was hungry, so this place was easy. Would I recommend it and/or go there again? Nah.

Purchased a Groupon to try something new.  To start off, this place is bigger inside than expected. They have a variety of burgers to choose from. We ordered the Reuben burger & the Redneck burger (both with waffle fries). Everything was delicious & the service was pretty good. We went in the afternoon so it's hard to say if the service varies with a crowd. They definitely know what it takes for a good sports bar- TVs are everywhere!! I think I'll plan on coming back to watch a game with friends.

Ever seen dozens of deaf people taking over a bar?

It happens in the Chicago area about once or twice a month.

It can be overwhelming, or cool, or annoying, or a combination of all three.

    It happened here last week.

You won't usually find me at these gatherings, but a few friends convinced me to come out to Shoeless Joe's for the monthly gathering. For once, I'm actually glad I went. Not only was the crowd pretty good, but the place itself exceeded my expectations (I'm not a sports bar kind of person).

It's a typical sports bar with too many television, sports stuff everywhere, pool tables, few patrons, and female bartenders dressed in tight referee outfits. Nothing really got my attention here until I picked up the beer menu. WHOA. For a pretty standard bar in the O'Hare area, it has a pretty extensive beer menu with some selections that you would normally find at a local brewery or 'independent' bar. And the price? The drafts and bottles were pretty standard, but the drafts looked huge. You could also get a flight of four generous 2oz glasses for the same price as one draft. Since I'm always indecisive about what beer to get, I knew I had to get the flight. Three of the beers I had were OK, but I fell in love with one of them. And I was definitely feeling a little extra happy after finishing them.

We also ordered some food later in the night (they have a great food selection too) and I ended up getting the waffle fries. The moment I popped one of the hot, seasoned fries in my mouth, I had a joygasm. The fries were SO GOOD. I thought perhaps it was the beer talking, but friends starting sampling the fries too and thought they were amazing. I want to come back here just for the waffle fries. OHMYGOSH. Yum.

Also, my bartender, Anita was awesome. She was super-friendly and very knowledgeable about the beers. If it wasn't for her, my experience probably wouldn't have been as good as it was. It would just been mediocre without her. Thank you, Anita!

Huge shoeless fan. Do happy hour here quite frequently and do recommend.
As for food, most of it is pretty good. My personal faves are the wings and burgers, have not explored much beyond that, but from what I have seen brought out, looks good.
They have a wing special during happy hour that is basically half price, 10 for $5.
Beer selection is great. They usually have specials on brew and booze as well during happy hour.
During the weekends before 5pm, $5 burger specials and $3 tall millers. The burgers and sandwhiches usually go for over $10 so I work the deals.
They also rock the Groupon and have a good beer/burger deal on there from time to time.
Does well for sports bar, pre/post Allstate concert, or just hanging.
Open at 10am, close at 3am.
    Pool and darts available.
If too much libation crash next door at hotel.
Train stop is caddy corner across street.
    One of my staples.

Been here a few times, bartenders are amusing enough, drinks are the usual price for this area.   It's clean and has LOTS of tv's, plenty of parking and if you have to much to drink, there's a motel right next door ... :P

However as a woman it pisses me off when the female servers don't pay any attention to you, which has happened here on more than one occassion.  Luckily there was a male bartender.

A few of us wound up at Shoeless Joe's for lunch after a productive work meeting in the 'burbs. The place is filled mainly with White Sox and Blackhawks bling, and the server gals were decked out in black short shorts. There are lots of screens showing sports programs and highlights. Free parking lot also - who knew you could find a sports bar with decent food by the Best Western?

I went with the redneck burger, and I guess it was a bit messy so you could actually get your neck all red with the BBQ sauce. Actually it was a pretty tasty and hefty burger, generously topped with bacon, grilled onions and cheddar cheese. The cole slaw was very creamy. Our group also had items like the chicken salad (a very good serving size for a small salad), the soup (loaded with a mountain of veggies), and the quesadilla plate.

Bizarrely negative reviews on here - I don't know if you guys know this, but this place is a bar. Shoeless Joe's has a great beer menu, for starters, serving up some of Chicago's finest beer. It's one of the only places in the area that serves Metropolitan beer - get some if you're in the area. The food is always great and comes in huge portions. You get way more than you pay for. There are tons of TVs and it's a great place to watch a game - but watch out - it can get crowded on game nights.

Kind of surprised about all the negative reviews here. On the outside Shoeless Joe's looks kind of plain but the inside is surprisingly nice. Everything looks really clean and this place has the best smelling bathroom ever (which is very accessible and not hidden in some complicated corner)! TVs and projectors are absolutely everywhere and I love coming here if I want to watch a game or two. From a booth seat, you could see 7 different screens without even turning your head. Background music is solid. There is even an electronic jukebox where you can pick your jam. $1.00 for one song though!? LAME.

This place definitely has special events fairly often. Some of them I've been to include having ESPN 1000 there (a couple times), Blackhawks Roadwatches, and a Blue Moon tasting for their next seasonal beer. Their menu specials are pretty solid, but then add these into the mix? OUTSTANDING!

The service is good. When it's pretty empty you get to choose where you sit. Everyone is pretty friendly, nice, and helpful. Good looking waitresses too! Beer list is quite extensive and have tried a number of new things from that menu. Drink and food prices are pretty standard. Most burgers and sandwiches are ~$10.00 and the quality is just fine. Burgers are neatly made, not greasy, and served with waffle fries that have the taste of curly fries! Sandwiches are OK but the pizza is delicious.

Located in Rosemont, the people there aren't d-bags or anything like that either. There is a little nightclub next door but that never really takes away from the Shoeless Joe's experience at all. I love coming to this place and would recommend this to anyone.

We were excited to try the Philly cheese steak pizza, but were extremely disappointed when it came out soggy and slightly burnt (how do you even manage that?). On the plus side, they did cheerfully replace it with a BBQ pulled pork pizza.  The other plus was Matilda and Oberon on tap.

If you really want to get grossed out then order the brownie sundae.  Brownies were raw and disgusting.

Decent service but not stellar.  It didnt make up for an overall experience that was barely tolerable.

Over the 2 hours we were stuck there "Meh" turned To "BLEH"

I really dont get this place.  Like I dont entirely get what they are trying to be. On one hand they have a total dive sports bar thing going on with totally cheap looking furnishings and tables that feel like they are falling apart but with ample tv's and drink coices.

Than on the other hand they serve you actually decent food on nice dishware. I've never been dissapointed with anything I've gotten to eat but that could also be because I had such low expectations coming out of the gate.

The service here also blows. I think the only requirement is to be a hot piece of ass because you get better service at Hooters. The servers are unfriendly and unhelpful and from what I can tell, pure eye candy for male patrons cause when they arent dropping off your plates and running away as quick as they can they're standing around talking to each other, not paying attention to the tables in the slightest.

Three stars mainly for the food and drink selection if you can get past the crappy service, dive atmosphere and sticky menus.

A friend suggested this place to me as a good place to grab a bite close to O'Hare. Now I wonder how long it had been since he had been in this place as it definitely wouldn't go on any recommendation list of mine.

If I have a pet peeve- it is dirty, sticky menus. And that is what they handed me here. I didn't even want to touch the thing as I knew I was going to be eating a burger and just how many times could I get up to use the restroom? Not only was the plastic coated menu sticky but the specials of the day menu had stains on it as well. Yuck!

I sat at the bar and was totally ignored by the women servers with their low cut t-shirts and short shorts. Obviously they think the men at the bar are where their bread and butter are. When I finally flagged someone down and ordered, it was as if it was a huge imposition. And when I asked for a glass of water to go with my dinner? It took three attempts to get it and when finally delivered, the bartender said she "forgot". Sheesh!- it was hardly even busy in the place.

The only saving grace? The food was, surprisingly, pretty good. The burger was perfectly cooked and the sweet potato fries were also a winner. And the food came up in a reasonable amount of time.

And if you are a sports fanatic? There have to be at least 20 TV's in the place all tuned to different sporting events so you will have no problem catching the latest action.

Doubt I will ever go back to this place, but if I do- I'll know to bring along some hand sanitizer- just so I can touch the menu and still feel like eating.

We stopped by the sports bar as it was open late and wanted a late night dinner.

As we pulled up in the parking lot, the place didn't seem like the best place to get some dinner. We got in and asked them if dinner was still being served. They said yes and sat us at a table.

There was too much disappointment as not of use were satisfied with our food.

I guess this place might be a good place to drink, but I wouldn't recommend their food.

It was late, we had just arrived into O'Hare, we were hungry and meeting family who picked us up from the airport. For many years in our younger day's we would come here. This place has been here forever. They have changed names a couple of times.

Large sports bar, very good loud music playing, TV screens, huge bar with a large menu of all kinds of eats to please everyone. We were a group of seven, got seated immediately and drink order's were taken. Our waitress was oh so sweet. She did not miss a beat. The bar area had quite a few customer's and the place was packed.

    We ordered:
    Wings
    Stuffed Mushrooms
    Spinach Dip
    Calamari
and plenty of cocktails and beer.

All of the food, (appetizers) were all very good, no complaints. We enjoyed ourselves, fun environment. From country music to hip hop, it was perfect to catch up eat and drink. The waitress came over to our table constantly refilling our drinks and checking on us. She was awesome!

Great place, fun, good food, reasonable prices, very good service!

Most of the previous reviewers hit the nail on the head with their reviews of Shoeless Joes. It's a sports bar that offers typical bar food with scantily clad servers. Not that I'm complaining, but Shoeless Joe's is one step away from being a Heavenly Bodies that serves food.
There is really nothing special about this place. To be honest, I usually use Shoeless Joe's as a place to meet my friends before I go somewhere else. If I'm going to a Hockey game or concert at the Allstate arena, I meet my friends at Shoeless Joes for a few pregame beers.
The food is typical of any sports bar in Chicago. Shoeless Joe's offers everything from bland Nachos to decent Burgers. There is nothing on the menu that stands out.
The bottom line is Shoeless Joes is a decent choice to kick back, have a few Brews and check out the half-naked servers. The food is average at best, but strangely enough, the place can be fun at times. It's not the kind of place that I would go out of my way to visit, but if I'm stuck out by O'Hare, it does the trick.

Nice sports bar with TV to person ratio at about 2:1! Seriously, almost too many small flat screens and big projection screens. That said, we enjoyed seeing La Crosse on one screen, while the Cubs played on another, and yet some regular TV shows on others.

The menu is extensive and so is the menu of beers. My BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich was huge, a touch too sweet, but still good. The side of coleslaw was among some of the best slaws I've ever had, and it was a huge portion! This place is fairly kid-friendly, and my son loved his Mac 'n' Cheese made with Rigatoni noodles and three kinds of cheese. I tried it and it really was good! Plenty to take home too.

Shoeless Joe's has a good beer menu (think Half Acre Daisy Cutter, Matilda, Dogfish Head IPAs) and you can get a tasting flight of four beers for the same price as one specialty beer. I liked that they do a creative American take on beer mixers like a Black and Tan w/Guiness and a Great Lakes Amber, and a Snakebite with Sam Adams and Woodchuck Cider; which I tried and was very tasty!

Our server Christina was great, and checked up on us frequently without hovering. Great place to come before hitting up the Allstate Arena, and I'm putting this on the short list of places to bring  the Rosemont worker bees after work.

Stopped here for something to eat before an event at Allstate Arena.  Just like everyone else does.  I had checked out the menu before we went, and the menu is extensive, to put it mildly. So despite most of it being typical bar food, I was able to find a couple of things I might like.

So we get there, I order a small chicken soup and a 7" grilled veggie pizza.

What a mess.  The soup is called caldo de pollo, which if you're familiar, is a mexican soup with potatoes, celery, carrots, and chicken. Well, that's what I got but it was definitely more like a stew. VERY overcooked big chunks of chicken that really dominated everything. Not much brothy flavor. It was obviously this was an assembled dish before service, not a satisfying chicken soup.

Then the pizza.  It was made on one of those cheap Boboli knockoffs that was super puffy and bready. There were veggies on it, but they had been sauteed in so much oil that you could actually slide the melted cheese off of them since it couldn't adhere to the ingredients. The true sign you don't like your pizza: you smash up all the cheese and goodies, and just eat that.

Why two stars?  An incredible beer list. Two sides of a menu, in fact. And beer flights!

If they cut down their menu, maybe they'd be good at some of the dishes....I was actually at Allstate Arena and thinking "Now I should have just eaten here."  Those are not good thoughts....

I was looking for an easy, laid-back spot to meet a potentially largish group before a Chicago Rush game at Allstate Arena. Shoeless Joe's was recommended to me by a friend who said the sports bar would be more casual than some of the other nearby restaurants, and that they offered free parking. Sold!

Whew -- what a menu! Besides offering standard appetizers, Shoeless Joe's has a long list of salads, sandwiches, wraps, burgers and entrees. And, they have a dedicated beer menu, with a focus on their drafts. I ended up going with a DIY beer flight: 4 generous pours for only $5.50! A winner, as I got to have both my beloved Gumballhead and Matilda (as well as two I hadn't yet tried) for mere chump change.

For my pre-game meal, I ordered the California wrap with sweet potato fries. Though service definitely could use a kick (slow like honey... err, molasses), I was pleasantly surprised with how good both my wrap and fries were. Chicken, avocado and bacon are usually a can't-go-wrong combo, but the addition of their housemade poppy seed dressing definitely kicked it up a notch.

The sporty environment definitely isn't my thing, but if you're looking for a craft beer and some solid grub in the vicinity, Shoeless Joe's shouldn't disappoint. And the large, free parking lot is definitely a nice bonus!

    Run! Run away!

I was here once a few months ago and am never going back.

We waited about 20 minutes for service and didn't get a menu or even any drinks, so we went up to the host stand and asked if we could move to another section and get menus. In the new section, we watched a waitress serve every other person there, but not us. Another 20 minutes passed. We went up to the host stand again and asked if the section was being closed. No, no, we were assured. Somebody will be right with you. A waitress sashayed past us in a skimpy uniform but didn't even look at our table.

People who arrived after we sat down the second time were getting their food, and oh my god, did it smell terrible. After waiting a little longer and still not having even a glass of water after nearly an hour of sitting and waiting, the last straw was when a group of businessmen came in, and a couple of the waitresses kissed them on the mouth and allowed their backsides to be groped in an embrace. It looked like one of the men put some money down the front of a waitress' uniform after he touched her butt. Seriously. Then they were seated and immediately brought drinks.

It was at that point that we realized this was like a skankier version of Hooters, but with sports memorabilia. Go to Hooters, not this place, because you'll get better service there. If a place makes me recommend Hooters, you can bet it's pretty bad. We walked out without the host saying good bye or even noticing us. Apparently you have to treat the staff like strippers to eat at this place.

Topping it all off is the fact that we sent an irate email to the management and never heard back. I take this as a de facto sanctioning of what happened. If the people who run this place think that it's OK to ignore customers and have sex and service go hand in hand, they obviously don't need my patronage.

This place was awesome! Came here for drinks and dinner.  I got the burger with the fried egg on it with a pretzel bun.  It was so huge! How can anyone eat a 10oz burger? But it was a good quality burger, that's for sure.  I would have tasted the egg more if the meat was less.  10 oz is a bit much for me. I didn't finish the whole thing.  Also, the reason for losing a star was that the pretzel bun wasn't very fresh.  It was a bit stale. These kinds of things need to keep its quality.

The beer selection was pretty good! And cheap by Vancouver standards.  Our server was pretty friendly and attentive.  I would go here again!

Why is the music so loud? On a Thursday or Friday night, nobody dancing, 2am they had the music BLASTING, could literally not hold a conversation. Ignored when asked the waitress to have someone turn it down.

They have a Lobster-Grab machine?! What the hell? Like the ones with plastic toys, except with live lobsters, wonder how often that got cleaned...

    Bathroom was disgusting.

Drink selection is decent, large variety.

Only recommended as one of the only options around O'Hare (I work at a nearby hotel and sometimes go with colleagues after work), and if you don't have a car, ha, good luck, ain't happening.

I met an old co-worker here for lunch a while back and have no complaints. The place had a small, normal lunch rush but nothing that made the service bad.
The place is more popular to males going to watch the game after work. The food is pretty decent and no complaints with the service. There are huge tv's to watch the games on and tons of seating.
I always try to 'pre-game' here before a show at Allstate but never seem to make it....hmmm...
There isn't much going on in regards to sports bars in this part of Rosemont, so in this case- take what you can get.

I'm basing this review upon my last experience at this place. A few of us stopped here after a concert at the Allstate for some beers & a bite. It being my first time here, I was pretty impressed. Nice place, fairly clean, decent music on the jukebox, & TV's everywhere.

Then we hit a wall. The waitress. We ordered a couple Dos XX on tap. Not only is she taking her sweet time, but the beer is absolutely flat when we got it. You have no more? Fine, just give us some Coronas. And where are the burgers we ordered? Oh, they finally came. & they were actually really good. Only I realized one thing: the burger was medium rare. I've learned to never to do pink hamburger. But since service was crappy already & I didn't feel like waiting 30 minutes for a new one, & I really needed to absorb this alcohol, so...I settled. Bad idea? Very. Starting around 6am the next morning, I was pissing out of my ass for 5 days straight. I considered it could just be a coincidence, but my sister told me her Fiance, who also ordered a burger, made several trips to the porcelain god as well.

Partially my fault for not sending it back? Yes, I admit it. I guess I've just been accustom to waitresses asking me how I want my burger cooked over the years. I was buzzed, hungry, & the burger & fries actually looked quite good. Thus, some pink in the meat didn't strike me as a real concern.

I'm not saying I wont ever come here & give them a chance to redeem themselves. But I will definitely be more careful & speak up next time the service is that crappy. Two stars for the atmosphere. But the service HAS to improve.

Just a quickie: Not bad, but not great either.

Food is great... the salsa has a nice kick to it.

Service can be a bit lacking.  One friend of mine claimed that "Shoeless Joes was not quite lady friendly...  People were nice and respectful, but none of the servers went out of their way to take her order."

This place is great on the weekdays if you want to grab a drink after work or whatever. I would avoid it at all costs on the weekend because the clientel tends to get a little too d-bag for my taste. (Popping your collar only means you have no soul)

The high point of this place is there chicken wings and beer selection. Plus things can get interesting if there is a wedding going on next door after their bar closes down.

This joint is typical man-heaven.  Sports, sports and more sports memorabilia take up every available inch of wall space that isn't already occupied by flat screen TVs.  Lots of beer/booze, lots of fried bar food, a loud and smokey interior. All the girls waitressing/bartending have on the requisite "Hooters" type outfit on, (except theirs is black and not orange), so there is lots and lots of in-your-face cleavage.

Located on a rather congested corner of Mannheim and Higgins, Shoeless Joe's sits rather awkwardly between a creepy diner (been in there, see the Pine Grove review), a dance club and a hotel.  Parking, needless to say, can be a tad difficult.

Ladies, seriously - you want to meet men, you have to come here, especially if there is a concert or a Wolves game on.  Not that I can vouch for the TYPE of men here, but girls were outnumbered by 10 to 1 easily (not including the waitresses) the night I was there.  yowza.

I just looked at my bank statement for June...why did Shoeless Joe's appear over ten times? Oh yeah, it is close to work. The bar tenders are fab. The food is amazing.

My co-workers and I go here almost every friday to avoid the weekend rush into the city. We go around 4pm and leave....well that is better left unsaid.  The girls that work here are always professional and one would not know that seeing as they have to dress up as glorified Hooter's girls. Hot pants and all. But they are always friendly and down to earth.  Drinks are just right. Sometimes I think a little tooo right but that is another story.

Every time I walk out of here I am happy for one reason or another....Love ya Shoeless!

I am a self-professed White Sox fan, hence my decision to meet up with a buddy at Shoeless Joe's after work. The bar is wedged between a couple of restaurants. When you walk through the bar doors and up the wooden steps, it's quite obvious which team(s) are being rooted for. There's Sox paraphernalia all along the wall. The Sox double-header against New York was on every other flat-screen in the joint which made it convenient for me to keep tabs on the score or lack thereof.

There was no hostess so we seated ourselves. A waitress found her way to us and took our orders. The fair is average bar food... nothing outstanding, but we enjoyed the combination appetizer platter of mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, toasted ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese, beef taquitos and onion rings. Yuuuum. Onion rings. For the main, we split the California chicken wrap and the S.O.B. (South of the Border) wrap. Everything tastes almost having been pre-packaged at some point and then thrown on a plate. It tasted fine though. The portions are huge and I did end up with meals for the entire next day.

There's pretty much no redeeming value to this place.  It's a Disneyfied Chicago sports bar.

The food is expensive for what it is: bar/tavern fare.  If you want a great burger, don't spend $10 here for it.  Go to one of the fine taverns in the city that serves the same delicious burgers for a fraction of the price -- Tavern, Fizz, Pontiac, Darwin's, hell even Lotties all have burgers for $2.50 at the most with fries.  Or if you want a really great burgers check out Hackney's or Kincades.

If you live in the city, you really have no reason to be tooling around out here looking for a sports bar.  But if for some reason you're forced to be in the wastehole that is the O'Hare Circle of Hell, don't stop here.

This place is okay, hard to find parking though.  There's a hotel and a restaurant in the same plaza. Very close to O'hare.
On the right side behind the bar you have some tables w/ menus so you can order food, probably about 5 or 6 tables lined up agains the wall on each side/  The other part is a little bit bigger but the three pool tables take up some room.  They have an okay sized dance floor, but the 2 or 3 times i went there, no one was really dancing, except for the older drunk crowd..and it was like 2 women.  Nothing exciting.. the waitress will come to you , so you don't have to go up to the bar if you don't want to.  It's a mix of older and younger crowd.  Not really sure about the price for drinks, but I think they have similar pricing to other bars around.
