I was starving and decided to stop in and check this place out...BIG mistake !! As I walked in, I felt like i was suddenly in an old creepy Chinese restaurant, you know, the kind you see in the movies. Older gentleman with a horrible cough at the front took my order of pot stickers. Remember, I was starving and needed some sort of food in my stomach.
Food came out rather quickly and went home to munch. Within an hour of stuffing my face with pot stickers, I was horrible sick. Won't be going back to try anything else, I've had my fair share.
My husband and I went here after dropping off some stuff at the storage place across the street, and decided to try this place since it's just a couple of blocks from our new house. Â
There is a funny smell when you first come in, and the decor is dated but that's what I expect from older home style ethnic restaurants, and I find it kinda charming.
We were there during an off-peak time, around 3:00 on a weekend day, so it was pretty quiet. Â Our soup and crab rangoon came quickly, and were delicious. Â I had pad thai with tofu for my main dish, and I thought it delicious, better than most. Â The sauce was flavorful, there were ample peanuts, and fresh lime wedges were provided when I asked for them. Â Also, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and not overcooked like at most places. Â I completely disagree with the scathing review given to the pas thai by another poster. Â
I think the owner was serving us, and he was very pleasant, and efficient. Â
I definitely plan on eating here again.
