The good. This place is cheaper to eat at than going through a drive true at Carl's Jr. They seem to have amazing drink and food specials every day.

The bad. My meal was only five bucks. And I got what I paid for. But I shouldn't judge because I'm on a low carb diet. I'm going to go in on my cheat day and try their carb loaded food. UPDATED. I changed my review to four stars from three stars with the second meal we had here. I had the two egg breakfast, with a side of refried beans. It was excellent. My girlfriend had a giant egg and potato burrito that was smothered. It cost $3.50. It was bigger than a chipotle burrito and was delicious.

The ugly. It's the middle of the day, I'm having lunch with my significant other. Four very large motorcycle guys come in. As they drink and get progressively louder we hear on man proclaim: she already has my name on her ass, but she has big boobs (I have inserted a nicer word than he used) so I'm giving her a pass.

Overall, this place is a working class jewel. Love it!

Four years ago when I was the "new girl" in the office, I was nominated to go grab some breakfast burritos for the crew.  I found a Silver Fox menu tucked away in my bottom drawer (thank you, girl-who-sat-there-before-me for not cleaning out your desk) and decided to give it a shot.

SO GLAD I DID.  I'm hooked on the simple, but delicious, egg and potato burrito smothered in green chili and cheese.  If you like a little more heat, go with the pork green chili.  Silver Fox, in my opinion, has some of the best green chili I've tasted...it's pretty legit.

I have only dined-in at the restaurant once, but the service was good and my mexican dish was tasty.  The ladies are always nice while taking my rather large order over the phone and are equally friendly when we pick up our food.  When I stop by in the morning, there are usually a few people already bellied up to the bar starting their day...or taking a load off after their night shift.  Since I love me a good dive bar, I'll have to stop in here post-work some night and indulge in a drink...or five.

Average really sums this place up. After reading the reviews from others, I decided to give this place a try. Went for lunch with some coworkers. Nothing to get mad about...and nothing to jump up and down about either. The food was OK, but I cant see myself thinking of this place when I'm craving good Mexican food. Plenty of other places nearby that serve better.

Eh.  This is in the warehouse district of Denver.  They have Mexican, Italian and American.  They actually pull this multiple personality off better than most.  The reality is the food is all made by Mexicans anyway, so I would get the Mexican.  If you are driving west on I70 and starving, I would go there.  Otherwise, stay on the highway and Yelp for better choices.

As a self-proclaimed dive-bar fanatic, I had to give the Silver Fox a shot.

The first time we went was at 2:30 PM on a Monday.  There were 2 people at the bar, and the country music was LOUD.  We were a little put off, but had a seat anyway.

We came around on the place.  Cheap drinks and a decent menu, and the bartender was incredibly sweet.  She also told us that their breakfast burrito's was worth a trip back.

We went a second time, at 6:00 PM on a Saturday, and a different bartender told us they were closing???  I guess this is a day-drinking spot...

I have had an uber crap-tastic day.  It was about 2pm and I realized I hadn't eaten breakfast or lunch and my stomach started to yell at me.  My office just moved right behind The Silver Fox and some of my co-workers had gone over and told me the food was good.  So, I walked down the alley and grabbed a booth.

The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable.  The waitresses were all having a great time and making the place fun.  For the first time all day, a smile came across my face that wasn't faked or forced.  I ordered a BLT and a Coke.  Both are things I hardly ever eat any longer, but a day like today called for bacon, fries and a soda.

The BLT was good.  The bread was a tad bit over toasted and was just basic, cheap, thin, white bread.  But the bacon was thick and there was a lot of it and the lettuce and tomato were fresh.  The fries were also nice and crispy, but there weren't many for the extra price.  For those of you that have not eaten here before, take note that the burgers and sandwiches are priced without a side.  Sides, like fries, are extra.  This is nice because on some days I'm sure I won't be so hungry and just a sandwich would be enough food for me.

The service I received was excellent.  The waitress I had kept checking on me, made sure I had everything I needed and even chatted with me for a bit.  She even gave me a to go cup for my Coke and I didn't even ask for one.

I really wish this place was closer to my house.  It looks like a great place to come and have some drinks and hang out at night.  Anyway, I'll definitely be back.  Especially since I can walk there from work!

This was my first time here and it is a clean and comfortable place where everybody knows your name. Lots of choices on the menu for lunch and I picked Mexican and really enjoyed the cheese relleno and enchilada.
This place is reasonable and caters to the workers in the area for lunch and has lots of seating. Our service was fast and efficient and a great place to pull off the freeway and grab a bite.

Save your time and money! I just came back after ordering two Italian sandwich and requested cheese and shredded lettuce & toms. Well guess what ... No CHEESE and the lettuce (leaf) was less than the amount one gets at a drive through. The thickness of the meat is the same as a regular hamburger at Mac's house (hence the leather dry meat) ... Sorry, but the sausage patty needs to be somewhat thick if you're going to call it an Italian sandwich (it is not a grinder because it would be too complicated for the current cook) to prepare. The place looks to be like a fun place to enjoy a game ( plenty of screens to view from) and toss back a few brews...also the place is VERY CLEAN and not cramp in size so do not let the outside of the joint put you back. They also have a jukebox I believe and a pool table ... will say it again the place is clean and the staff on this day friendly. Too bad the food was not up to PAR in taste and presentation.

Wow, what a hidden gem.  Its an old school Denver type of place, nothing fancy.  But the food and the service is great.  Good, spicy Mexican, at cheap prices. We conversed with two waitresses and the owner while sitting there having lunch.  This is one of my Denver favorites.

Every industrial area has a restaurant like the Silver Fox.  Its the place where the working people go to eat lunch and drink beers after work.  The Silver Fox reminds me of the place where George Lopez and his co-workers like to go after a long day at the plant.

The restaurant serves reasonably priced Mexican and Italian food.  The food is decent but not great.  But the atmosphere is warm and the wait staff is friendly.  It is almost impossible to find a good parking space on a Friday afternoon.  After a long week of hard week, there is no better place to let the hair down and talk crap about the boss and your fellow co-workers.

Often times, middle class hipsters like to go to places they call dives.  They enjoy the bar flies and feel as though they are getting a chance to see the seemy side of working class life.  Its fun.  I used to enjoy slumming when I was younger.  However, there is something ultimately condescending about this type of bar hopping.  Hipsters, forget your sad bars along East Colfax.  Come to the Silver Fox and see how the functioning working class relaxes.  You will learn and see more on one Friday afternoon than a year's worth of hanging out at some pathetic dive.

this place was a Friday ritual for a long time for me when I worked in the neighborhood. WHY?

    Jukebox! Fights! POOL! : )
This place was perfect! Not the bestest hood... but that is probably why they close at 10 or eleven....
Always a seat in the house. Quick curt service. A good spot....
I came here tonight to meet up with an old coworker to relive some silver fox times... the sign is torn down.... kind made me think the place was closed... not the case... parking lot full as always. Had a couple rounds of drinks with the boy, conversation, dinner.... DINNER SPECIAL--steak chili  rellenos smothered in spicy pork green chili-rice-beans..... 7 bucks!!!...saw a almost fight, drank another round went home! now i am yelping... full-happy ready to start the weekend!!

This place is great for a after work relief if you work in the hood! I will come back for the free food and awesome drinks any day!
