I was going to use 5 stars but I've learned to reserve those for CCE (consistent culinary excellence) :-). For now lets say I'm quite happy to live so close to this Sushi bistro that is as close to authentic Japanese as it gets.My husband and I ordered a sampling from the menu and one of the specialty rolls (Envy Maki--highly recommend it), Yakisoba, Hibachi Chicken and Mussels. The maki was layered with distinctive textures and flavors --each layer complemented the other and could've been a meal in and of itself. Yakisoba had the flavor we haven't had since our time in Japan--the noodles were not overcooked as they so often are, and the noodles were not swimming in teriyaki as some restaurants try to pass off for the flavor of this traditional dish. Hibachi Chicken was marinated just enough to eat each perfectly cooked chunk of chicken without the sauce it came with, though succulent itself. I prefer my veg less cooked than presented but that's the only thing I can suggest to improve. Service was attentive, and I'm hopeful this restaurant maintains this quality. Not to mention, ambiance is pretty cool--simple, clean lines and open spaces. A couple more visits and 5 stars could be around the corner for this joint!

Went there last night with my wife.  She got a bowl of miso ($2) and salad ($3) and ahi poke ($15), which were all good.  The poke was spicy and more like ahi in a salad with poke sauce, not over rice like I'm used to, but I don't know of anywhere around to get poke so we wanted to try theirs out.  I got the sushi and sashimi dinner ($28) which came with 8 pcs nigiri and about 15 pcs sashimi.  It was all pretty good and fresh.  Liked the atmosphere.  Service was attentive, although there were never more than 4 tables occupied while we were there.  Some little things bugged me, I didn't like the chopsticks, they were the square ones with sharp corners, and they kept splintering really bad, and the soy sauce pourer was horrible, it ran down the side of it and got everywhere.  Also one of my water refills was room temperature.  I guess she forgot to put ice in the pitcher.  So overall not bad, little pricy.  No dessert, and water to drink and it still came to $50 before tax and tip.  They have a $10 lunch special, maybe that's the way to go.  Yelp says 3 stars means OK, that's about how I feel.

Great little sushi place. Everything was fresh, the decor was nice and the aquarium was a nice touch. Friendly waitstaff. My only suggestion is Please add more vegetarian options please! I was still starving after eating my own sushi plate.
