Service was fine. Â Patio was low key and sunny on a fall afternoon, which was pleasant. Â I ordered the turkey sandwhich and a bloody mary. Â While the drink was very tasty,it was very low on the adult beveragel register, if there was any in it. Â The sandwhich was good but after about 30 minutes I was parched--like sodium overkill withdrawls. Â Which lasted for several hours. Â Its a pizza joint--I would stick with the pizza.
Review Source:This was a good local find. Â I was in Greensboro on business for a few nights. Â Talked to a local connection, and she recommended this place. When I pulled up, I was a little skeptical. Â I did get the look from the locals, but the girls behind the bar were great. Â First beer was on the house, a few more and dinner and I could not have found better company. Â This place has some great pizza, their beer specials are awesome, if your passing through, check it out.
Review Source:I regularly drive by this place and see their sign advertising a carry-out special large one topping pizza. I decided to order one on a whim, especially since they were open past ten o'clock on a weeknight. I was told my pizza would be ready in 20 minutes- I arrived and ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes, 40 minutes in total. I think they forgot about my order or didn't start it until after I had arrived and paid. I regretted leaving a tip. :-/
Otherwise, bar seemed to be nice and the pizza was very good, especially for the price! I'm sure I'll be back or order another take out pizza, but I'll order before I'm super hungry.
We were visiting relatives in Greensboro two weeks ago and they insisted on meeting the family at Spring Garden Pizza. My aunt told me it was the best pizza "ever", and I was a little skeptical... but was pleasantly surprised! The pizza is much better than anything in our hometown (Spokane, WA) and as good as the better pizzas in San Francisco, where we lived for 20 years.
The pizza: Great crust with tasty combinations. We had a vegetarian pizza and one loaded with sausage and pepperoni. Both were outstanding.
Starters: Great fried stuff -- fresh made chips, fries, poppers, Mozzarella logs -- all the healthy stuff!
The good was outstanding and the dining area very pleasant. Wish we had a pizzeria this good where we live.
Final note: the service was outstanding. Much more than we expected from a "bar/pizzeria." Â As they say in Greensboro, "Thanks, y'all!"
