Stillwater Pub

My first visits here were for the BMR Jam contests on Tuesday nights, and my friends and I keep going back because it's a good place to just be ourselves and have a chill night with good drinks. There's also usually a bit of live music going on, and other low-key game options like pool and the golf game toward the back. It's never been too crowded, probably because most obnoxious folks don't know about it or drive right by, as it's centrally located to pretty much wherever you're gonna be downtown.

Great place and lots of fun! Also the music is really good too. Once of my favorite hangouts in Birmingham. Also they have a HUGE dance floor!

Discovered Stillwater a while back and was pleasantly surprised. The location keeps it pretty well hidden, but it is by no means empty on weekends. Its got a unique atmosphere to it; I can't really put a label on it. And that's why I like Stillwater, I think. They do their own thing and don't fit a mold. Though, the interior does look like it could have been a biker bar in its former life.

They have some pretty decent bands that play who tend to be as unique and refreshing as the venue itself, which I think is the real draw of this bar. Also, the beer prices are very reasonable.

So if you are looking to mix it up a bit and try something different--maybe listen to cool music and not hear the same old tired bands or, God forbid, a guy playing three chords on an acoustic guitar--then hit up Stillwater Pub!
