I had not been here since they moved from their previous location. This spot is much bigger, and they had plenty of tables available on a Friday night.
We tried to get the table at the very end, but the Asian bartender was not being cooperative. She threw every excuse in the book at me, including, "There's a fire exit there and I need to keep it clear." For real!? Then why is there a pool table there? Stop it.
After using some Jedi mind tricks on this woman, I finally got her to break. We got our table at the end and proceeded to have a great time.
They rent the tables by the hour and add any drinks you order to a tab. After playing about 6 games and downing a pitcher of beer, our total was $45 and change. Not bad, really.
The atmosphere is divey. The locals looked friendly. It had a pretty good vibe overall. It was not crowded, but there were a lot of smokers in the house. If that kind of thing irritates you, you may want to think twice before stopping by.
Now on to my one and only gripe. Somebody there was a huge Jay-Z fan, because that is all that ever played on the radio. We spent a couple of bucks on the jukebox and waited patiently for our songs to play. They never did. We waited for over an hour and nada. I felt like I got robbed lol.
I had a good time, though. Great location with plenty of parking. They are open late. I would recommend Sunny Beach Billiards to a friend!
