So my husband and I have been wanting to stop in for years and finally got a chance to last Tuesday. We came in at lunch. This is such a cute little intimate eatery. We decided to sit at the sushi bar. I ordered the Maki Lunch, Choose 3 Rolls for $9.95 & it came with miso soup and salad. My husband went with the Teriyaki Chicken Combo Lunch which came in a bento box with miso soup, salad, 3 pieces of California roll and rice for $6.95. Let me just say...Best lunch we've had out in a very long time! We loved the prices but appreciated the portion sizes even more!!! Service was great, no complaints there! We will definitely be regulars here from now on!

I had my bridal party and friends come here during the day for a bridal lunch/non-alcoholic bachelorette party. I had originally made the reservation for 8 PM a few months prior to the date, but a family member randomly set up a dinner the same day at the same time, just a few days' notice before my reservation. We were obligated to attend it, so I changed the reservation to 1 PM. Sushi Yama changed the time with no problems.

I reserved a tatami room for us because I had always seen it in the back of the restaurant but had never been inside of it. The tatami rooms are very small! I was expecting one large room.  I was surprised to see the back of the restaurant divided into the two small rooms. There was just enough space for the 8 of us in there.

We waited a long time to be served, longer than I have ever waited for service at any restaurant in my life. After about 20 minutes I had to wave and shout across the room for service.

Once we got our sushi, it was delicious. They served everything on one enormous platter. It was very good and everyone was in a food coma.
