Taka Sushi

I moved to Naperville 4 months ago and I've eaten at Taka at least 2x a month since moving.  I nearly always get the Sushi Combo because I love the crunchy shrimp roll but I still get a wide variety.  The price is slightly higher than other takeout sushi places in town, but the extra dollar or 2 is worth it, by far.

My first time in to Taka was to try their sushi, since then, I have been back many times.  The sushi is incredible for the price and I stick to what I said the first time.

Over the past few weeks, we have tried the Salmon (twice), the tuna, the filet medallions, a bone in ribeye, and a 5 lb. beef tenderloin.

The seafood was incredibly good.  We used to buy our seafood from the place that occupied this spot in the strip mall, and we liked it a lot.  Taka one up's the old place, I can't buy anywhere else now.

My family has been buying meat from Casey's for a long time.  I love Casey's, but the round trip commute for me is about an hour just for burgers, steaks, etc.  I bought the above meat from David and I must say that it is just as good as Casey's, if not better.  Our tenderloin roast was amazing, I am happy that I made the decision to order from David and I will continue to do so in the future.

This place has excellent sushi.  I don't care about the atmosphere I want fresh and delicious sushi and that is what they have.  I've tried the Philly Roll with smoked salmon.  Just the right amount of smoke makes it really flavorful.  The Spicy California Roll is one of my favorites.  Chicago fire roll made with tuna, avocado and a spicy sauce.  Yummy!  The Orange Roll with crab, avocado, cucumber and masago caviar.  This roll is beautiful with just a little pop from the caviar.  The Green Turtle Roll with my absolute favorite ingredient unagi.  I don't think they have a bad item on the menu.  The service is friendly and the owner is knowledgeable and loves to explain his sushi and answer any questions.  Great prices and awesome sushi!  I have a new favorite sushi place that I will recommend to all my friends.
