Everytime I visit Fort Wayne, I make sure to stop by 'A Taste of India'.  Never been to India myself, so I cannot say whether or not this place is authentic, however, their dishes are phenomenol!

In particular, there is a dish called 'Chana Saag', which is basically Garbanzo peas/beans mixed with creamy spinach.  I swear to you, that dish is like a narcotic.  Hang on now, I've had a narcotic so I cannot really say that.  Well, you know what I'm getting at!

Seasoned just right, the silky spinach, served on a bed of warm basmati rice, is a perfectly spiced and well flavored dish.  It's like a dance party in your mouth and you don't want it to stop.

I kid you not, the dish was so good, I bought 2 extras for my flight back to Chicago.  At security, they saw the containers under xray and opened them making sure they were safe as carry-on(s).  After they popped the top, the guards immediately remarked how delicious the food smelled and how hungry they all of a sudden were.  Luckily, they didn't end up keeping MY chana saag and I was able to enjoy it back in the comfort of my own house.

During a recent trip,  I happen to pass through Fort Wayne both going and coming back. I stopped at this restaurant on my way out. This is a North Indian restaurant. I am South Indian. I ordered a South Indian dish. This was quite good. I would give it 3 stars. On my way back, I ordered idly (a South Indian dish) and some other dishes to go.  I was totally disappointed by the idli. It was hard. It is a difficult dish to cook if you are not experienced. I can forgive this. What I cannot forgive was what they did to the dipping soup. I got the same dipping soup I got the previous day which was quite good. Perhaps they were running out of it but what they had done was add about a cup of water to it. This completely ruined the taste. When I ordered the takeout foo, their buffet was still open. and if they were running out, they could have substituted another dipping sauce. The idli was uneatable. My wife liked the North Indian dish. Hence the 3 star.

This place USE to be really good, they had very good food, I ate their lunch buffet at the very least every two weeks for the past 6 months, the past 3 times its been absolutely terrible and it progressively keeps getting worse. I don't know if they cut the quality of their ingredients to save money or if they got a new cook but it isn't nearly as good, kinda terrible really, I kept going back to make sure it wasn't just an off day as I use to really enjoy it. The people who run it are always kind of rude too, needless to say in my book for restaurants its 3 strikes and you're out. I wont be going back.

Decent Indian food. The decor is nice, and there is a lunch buffet. The place and buffet selection is not as large as Taj Mahal, but everything tasted fine.
