I live a couple of blocks from here and had the subs and fried wings before so I didn't have a problem trying it again. I really don't like how dirty it looks inside and I should have trusted my gut. My daughter begged me to go here because she liked the subs last time. It was 12:30 in the afternoon on a Saturday when I went in and it was very interesting. One guy started a fight with another guy in front while I was waiting for my two 12" ham subs with Swiss cheese. Then another guy came in and felt it took too long for him to receive service and he threatened to come back with his pistol (his words not mine).
It gets worse! Sunday evening my daughter and I both came down with food poisoning! My wife wouldn't eat at Tasty Sub if it was the last place on earth and she didn't get sick. Just my daughter and I. The only thing that I ate that my daughter ate was Tasty Sub. We have now been sick for two days and have missed school and work.
Get the philly cheese steak here, you won't regret it. This is a popular spot me and friends go to late at night in the Rogers Park area when we get the late night munchies.. Seriously, they're open til like 5AM or something and we're hooked! Might not be the most welcoming establishment...but their subs are cheap, tasty, and definitely worth giving a try! I always get either the cold Tasty Sub or the philly cheese steak. All for about an average of $6, the subs and sandwiches come with fries and choice of drink.
