A lot of HATERS for Teddy's?? Went there today and had the Stromboli Burger with fries. I thought it was a great burger! Got the recommendation from the foursquare app. You can get a 1/3 lb. 1/2 lb. burger. I chose the 1/3 lb. because the Stromboli Burger is also topped with appeared to be a meatball sliced up and topped off with marinara, provolone and Italian spices. Well done Teddy!
Review Source:I guess it's an okay place if you don't know what a good burger is. Â The burger wasn't horrible, but for me it was barely edible. Â See they advertise that the use their own special seasoning and apparently I don't like their seasoning. Â I prefer a more simple seasoning on my burger. Â Perhaps they accidentally over seasoned mine? Â All I could taste was that flavor and I couldn't taste the burger, bun or toppings. Â The lady at the bar ignored me and the manager or owner walking around asking customers how everything was walked right past me. Â The actual restaurant is very nice and laid out great. Â My suggestion to the cook is to cut back the seasoning and for the manager get better employees.
Review Source:We came on a whim-- it was across the street from where we were, and it was past our dinner time. It's cute. The service was great-- borderline *too* attentive at times, but never crossing it. And everyone was very pleased with the burgers, especially the "teddy bear burger" and "cajun burger!" Plus, we didn't get a chance to check it out, but it appeared they have a pretty decent beer selection. We will definitely make the trip to come here again. Yum!
Review Source:Unmemorable is the best word to describe this place. It was exciting to finally have something to fill the spot where Centro (which was equally awful) previously was. We went within the first month of opening and won't be going back. The whole place looked a little dirty for only being open for about a month. Very off putting.
It was surprising to see the way you order upfront instead of sitting down and someone taking your order. You'd think they'd want to put in more tables but apparently not. The person that took our order wasn't helpful or friendly. The guy who brought our food to us was neither of these things as well. There's a TINY stage, I can't imagine they can an entire band in there!
The menu options are a bit different than most places which was nice to see. My husband got the teddy burger and was satisfied enough but said it was nothing special. I got the pulled pork and again, nothing to write home about.
The answer is: Red Robin, Culver's, McDonald's, Wendy's, Rally's
What are five restaurants less than a mile from Teddy's Burger Joint that serve better burgers?
There are a lot of reviews that say the same things I will, so I won't go into the gory details. The service is slow (most of the employees are teenagers), the wait staff is indifferent, there is more bread than beef on their dry and lifeless burgers...
The menu makes you optimistic, and they do have an impressive selection of beer. I saw a stage, so it looks like they offer live music, unique to the area. Big turn-off for me was that their kids room smelled like vomit when I checked it out. Not a very appetizing way to start off dinner.
The most irritating part of the meal was when my wife received her Cobb salad and didn't get any dressing. The slouchy kid who waited on us went back to get it for her, brought it back, and threw it on the table. She noticed that it was supposed to have avocado and that it was missing. She asked the slacker about it when he brought the dressing, and his response was, "How should I know? That's how I get it when I pick it up. I don't know what comes on the salad!"
I could understand if this was McDonald's and I spent $15 to get that kind of treatment, but when you spend over $40, that type of response is nearly unforgivable. They will probably get some traffic by the mall traffic, but you get burned once, walk on by...
Blah- That is the word that kept running through my head as I was eating my sub standard burger. Unfortunately this is how I felt about the whole meal.
When one eats a burger at a place where "burger" is in the name one expects burgers to be their "thing" , this was not the case.
I ended up with an over cooked, frozen cheeseburger on a very dry bun, that i paid far too much for. If you are looking for a good burger just stop at your local Steak and Shake where you know you are getting a good burger at a reasonable price.
Sat. afternoon at 1:30 and we were told we'd have to wait 10 min. to order because the kitchen was backed up. Â Should have left then. Â Burger was tiny and TOUGH! Â Bun was twice the size of the burger and dry. Â Two burgers and two sodas cost us $22. Â Unreal. Â Only reason I gave 1 star - the fries were hot and good.
Review Source:Looks like the first review on here looks like it was written by an employee. Â Went there today for Mothers Day. Â Very little to like about this place. Â Long line to place our order. Â One cashier working on Mothers Day? Â After waiting to place our order our food took 31 minutes to arrive. Â Then found out we were waiting all that time for mediocre food. Â Really nothing I can say positive. Â One drink station for the whole place means you also stand in line to get your drinks. Â $3.50 for a tiny side salad and $8 for a lackluster burger. Â We wont be back. Â Save your $$ and get a great burger fast at 5 Guys....
Review Source:My friends and I really enjoyed the southport Teddy's and were excited to learn they had opened up a second location at the Metropolis mall in Plainfield. Â Our children have a lot fun writing on the chalkboard walls in the kids room. Â On top of having great burgers Teddy's also has a delicious breaded tenderloin sandwich, which is hard to find on the west side. Â Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is perfect. For our next date night my wife and I are going to hang out at the spacious bar. Â Everyone should check Teddy's out. You won't regret it!
