2nd time here & I enjoyed it. For dinner my woman and I got the pad thai & pad si yew. Pad thai is more greasy than what I'm used to at home, but I understand and respect the different styles!--still delicious. Great variety of spice-level options. Thai tea size is bigger than most restaurants.
Customer service is grade A when the manager is serving. This time, the lady rockin' the pink hello kitty hoodie didn't check on us until we were completely done.
Thai Flavor = delicious food, good portions, & nice price.
Extremely enjoyable experience. Â Food exactly how I like it, service professional with the added conversation by the owner or manager giving me giggles, a well maintained and diverse collection of fancy goldfish, and perfectly reasonable prices. Â
I accidentally got the tom yum when I'd ordered the tom kha gai so they brought me out an order to take home which I quickly opened and sampled.... deeeelicious as was the tom yum. Â The thai iced tea was HUGE!
I have missed a solid thai place since I moved from San Francisco and this may be my new go-to place for thai. Â I can't wait to try more dishes =)
Great Thai typically is in Aurora in a strip mall. Â Green curry awesome. Â The food was fresh, hot and well cooked. Â The service is with a smile and attentive. Â I like to support family run business that care about their product and this one is no exception. Â I'm going back soon! Â GET SOME~!
Review Source:Came here upon a recommendation by a friend and i will pass the same. Friendly staff and good service even during the lunch rush. Clean and bright plus the food is deelish. Â Especially the Panang curry. Nice and creamy. Hot is just right because it doesn't set your mouth on fire but has a nice kick. Â Haven't tried the dinner service so I won't comment on that.
Review Source:This place is awesome! Â Seriously, some of the best Thai food I have ever had. Â My husband who likes food that is more like pouring lava down your throat was very pleased with his dish, which he ordered extra Thai hot. For me I'm a little more of a pleasant burn kinda lady and my tofu prik khing was fabulous. Â This place is great. Â We will be coming back frequently :)
Review Source:The food is very good.
The restaurant atmosphere is average.
The service was pathetic.
I had the Pad Kra Pao. Delicious. Bursting with flavor. I love the cute little mushrooms that creep my foodie daughter out. Recommended. I ordered very hot, but it was slightly warmer than mild. Tasty though.
My daughter enjoyed the Panang Curry.
Both items were on the lunch menu and were a very good value.
The decorations are standard "asian restaurant". You could convert this place from Thai to Vietnamese or Chinese in about 20 minutes.
It was 1330 on a Monday afternoon and we were the only customers. Our waitress appeared to be put out that we were there. She took our food orders, but never asked what we wanted to drink. Just very inattentive. Crappy tip as a result.
If you are in the neighborhood, then eat here and enjoy a good meal. I did.
I thought I'd reviewed this already, but I guess not. I come here often enough that the staff recognizes me in person and on the phone. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. My favorite dishes are pad kana (with the crispy pork belly--costs a little more but so worth it), Thai flavor garlic, Thai fried rice, pad woon sen, and tom yum (soup). As others have already pointed out, their Thai iced tea is addictive. Their egg rolls are really good too. They have some nice lunch combination specials on weekdays, and the full menu is available any time they're open. Service is quick and friendly, although it's by no means fast food.
Review Source:What can I say about Thai Flavor? This is, by far, the best Thai restaurant in the Denver Metro Area... If not all of Colorado.
My husband and I go to this restaurant about every two weeks. We always get the Thai Iced Tea, which is the best I've ever tasted. If you have tried Thai Iced tea at other restaurants, and were disappointed, try it here before you completely dismiss it. It really is so much better than what I've had at other Thai places.
We order something new every time, and I have yet to be disappointed. The owner is wonderful! He always jokes around with us and loves to give us suggestions of things to try. Our favorites so far are the short rib appetizers, the yellow curry, Massaman Curry, Tom Kha, and of course Pad Thai. And for dessert, the fried bananas are to die for!
If you like Thai food, you have to try Thai Flavor. The service can be a bit slower, although not as bad as some of these reviews would have you believe (it is a pretty small restaurant with only a few people working there), but trust me, it is well worth the wait.
Service was slow & expected when I only saw two guys working in the front.
I felt the food here was A-Ok. I maybe a bit bias here since I'm from northern California and have tasted many yumcous Thai food. I had high expectations prior to coming here because my friend told me it's one of the best around Denver.
Summary of what I ordered:
Thai tea-so far the best Thai Tea I have tasted-wished there were bobas to go with it.
Fried wonton with crab & cream cheese - it was crispy. The cream cheese was a bit overwhelming since I cannot taste much of the crab.
Pad Thai with tofu-a bit sour for my taste but overall the tofu and noodle was good.
Thai Curry- I don't remember the name of this dish but the curry here hit the spot. Ordered it with tofu and add some rice to this dish = happy me.
Although this place did fulfill my craving for Thai food, I do miss home. I'm glad I was introduced to this place. I'm still on the look out for a better Thai place but for now, I will return in the future to try out other dishes yelpers rave about  like their tom yum soup.
I visited this place because some friends were in town, and the Yelp reviews were positive.
Food wasn't bad. Service wasn't bad. No complaints, really.
That being said, I guess I've never really had outstanding Thai food, because this was OK, but I wasn't bowled over. Revelation: I'm just not that into Thai food.
This is the first Thai food I've had in Colorado and it was very good. Chicken pad Thai was yummy and spicy. My husband got Thai fried rice which he ordered "Thai hot". They are NOT playin around! It was crazy spicy! But still very good. Our wontons needed about 30 seconds less in the fryer, but it's all good. The waitress/hostess woman wasn't exactly "friendly" but I'll chalk that up to different social norms. We'll be back, Thai Flavor!
Review Source:My fiancé and I have visited Thai Flavor a couple times now.  This most recent visit to Thai Flavor was good, it just made me question the consistency of their deliciousness.  If you had asked me three weeks ago to review Thai Flavor, I would have said this is five star Thai food.  Ater my visit on Friday night, I cannot confidently say that you are going to hit Thai Flavor on one of their five star days. Â
First, we ordered the Fried Pork Wontons. Â The wontons dipped in the sweet, tangy sauce created a perfect melody of sweet, sour, and spicy tones. I would definitely order these again.
For our entrees we ordered Panang Curry with chicken and the Three Flavor Tilapia.  Typically, my Panang Curry from Thai Flavor is outstanding.  What I especially loved about Thai Flavor is the fact that they were able to truly create a flavorful, spicy curry that did not cowardly shy away from heat.  I am an extreme heat lover and love to order my Thai food 'Thai Hot."  Thai Flavor will even do it 3x Thai Hot!  Sadly, my last visit was disappointing.  I asked for double Thai Hot and got a weak, bland Panang Curry.  Plus, the sauce was super runny. The chicken was lacking in quality and the ingredients did not taste fresh.  I am hoping we truly visited Thai Flavor on an off day.  My fiancé enjoyed his Three Flavor Tilapia. The Three Flavor Tilapia was a new experience for the both of us.  The fish was cooked nicely - crispy on the outside and tender, white meat on the inside. The Three Flavor fish sauce was very unique and offered a delicious blend of spices.
Overall, our most recent visit to Thai Flavor was three stars. Â However, I truly loved the Panang Curry from my other visits and would easily give them five stars in the past. Â I am willing to give Thai Flavor another try to see if this was just an 'off' day in the kitchen.
OH MY JOSH YOU GUYZZZZZZ!!!!!!! I can't tell you how excited I am to have found this place!!! Thai Flavor is right! This is hands down the best thai food I have ever had in Colorado! Oh man it was like my very own Thai grandmother was in the back making me the good stuff...if I was Thai and had a Thai grandmother that is.
I know that was a whole mess of explanation points but I am very excited here people. So anywhoo.... I came across this place one hungry afternoon thanks to my handy dandy Yelp mobile app. When I arrived I immediately ordered ginger tea and then my two favorites: Tom Yum Guy and Thai Beef Salad. The ginger tea was so good I ordered more to take home with me. As for the tom yum I just can't say enough about it so to save you all from my over excited rambling I will just say it was life changing it was so good. The thai beef salad was also very good but when I go back I might just get a REALLY big bowl of the soup because that was some good stuff.
No I love spice and that is one of the reasons I love Thai food so let me just say this place does not disappoint. Since it was my first visit I only ordered medium heat and man am I glad I did because it was hot. But not so hot I couldn't eat anything. Just hot enough to get my lips tingling and my brow glistening. So as a warning if you can't take the heat or you think you like it medium hot just go mild the first time around but if you like it HOT go medium the first time around.
Do you like Thai food? Well damn then! Get off your computer and go...NOW and eat at Thai flavor. You won't be sorry.
Thai Flavor is our family's favorite Thai restaurant in the Denver metro area. There are a number of good Thai restaurants in Denver, including Thai House, Udom Thai, Busaba, etc., but Thai Flavor distinguishes itself with one particular dish:
Yum Pla Duk Foo (catfish salad)
Prepared properly, yum pla duk foo is a unique and delightfully Thai dish. The catfish is filleted and the meat is ground and then flash-fried. The fried catfish meat is then tossed with slivered green apples, cashews, dried chilies and a sweet savory sauce. In Thailand, this dish is prepared with slivered green mangos, but the green apples are a very acceptable substitute.
The other top-tier Thai restaurants in Denver can prepare yum pla duk foo if you order it in advance, but Thai Flavor features it on their menu.
Another distinguishing feature of the food at Thai Flavor: when you order a dish "Thai hot", they add a mixture of fresh chilies. Lower grade Thai restaurants, like Wild Ginger, simply sprinkle a large amount of dried red chilies onto your food.
Thai food should be fresh, with a minimum of dried herbs and spices, if any at all, and every bite should have the full range of flavors, sweet, spicy, sour. Thai food is also exceptionally hot, but the heat comes from a mixture of fresh ingredients.
I have one particular criticism of Thai Flavor: they don't have duck curry on their menu. A top quality Thai restaurant should offer ghai ped yang, a red curry with duck meat.
I will review Busaba, Thai House and Udom Thai very soon. In the meantime, if you need a good Thai meal, I can recommend Thai Flavor in Aurora.
I've been coming to Thai Flavor regularly for over ten years, and every visit has been nothing short of bliss. Â It's just a few minutes away from my work, and I always seem to end up there when I forget my lunch... or, who am I kidding, when I intentionally leave my Lean Cuisine in the freezer at home.
What sets Thai Flavor apart from other Thai restaurants in the area is the complexity, depth and freshness of the spices and seasoning, which elevates even the most common dishes into something memorably good. Â Nowhere is this more evident than in their curries. Â My favorite is the red curry, but the green and panang curries are also excellent. Â The pad see yew, pad wun sen and sriracha noodles are also wonderfully flavorful, with perfectly cooked noodles every time I've ordered them. Â And the spicy catfish dish is an amazing, unexpected treat....yum.
I took my girlfriend here recently and she's completely hooked. Â After enduring several blah curries and so-so Thai dishes around town, she had convinced herself that maybe Denver's Thai food options weren't all they were cracked up to be. Â Thai Flavor changed all that with their panang curry, and each new dish she tries solidifies her love for the restaurant.
One observation: Â depending on the chef of the day, the word "hot" can mean either the perfect amount of heat or something punishingly spicy. Â I've taken to ordering everything "medium" so that the hottest days aren't quite so painful; on milder days, I just add a splash of sriracha and hot chile. Â A bit of a quirk, but not enough to knock a star off the rating for me!
I had a Thai restaurant in the last place I lived that was so good, I had a hard time venturing away from it. So now that I find myself in Denver, I have to explore. I ended up here by accident, and am sure glad I did.
I had the Pad Kra Pao, and although I've seen another review saying this isn't traditional style, all I know is that it was darn tasty. I almost never order a Thai dish with pork, as the slices can be chewy (I much prefer ground), but decided to go out on a limb. WOW. The slices of pork in this dish might have been the tenderest pieces of pork I've ever had - and I love pork.
Prices are a little higher than I expected, but the size of my dish was huge - definitely enough for leftovers. Wish I lived and worked closer, as those lunch specials look awesome.
I've been coming here for years; it's very close to my house, but I'd still be a regular, even if it were an hour drive.
Best Thai food (and Vietmanese) I've had in Denver.
The place is a VERY unassuming stripmall find; they should really spend a few dollars on some professional advice of sprucing the interior of the place up a bit, but it is very clean. Â Nonexistant ambeance.
Service is very friendly (they are sweethearts) but they always seem to get very nervous if there's more than 2 tables occupied in the place, which is amusing. Â They never ask if you'd like anything other than water to drink, which they should look into, you know, padding the bill and all, and I generally enjoy a beer with my meal here.
The food is VERY fresh and flavorful. Â Interestingly, the same menu items can vary greatly depending on who is doing the cooking in the back, but always comes out good anyway...which is strange.
They seem to be very popular for carryout; the phone and fax are contantly ringing and there is a steady stream of neighbors coming by to pick up their bagged orders.
Please don't be frightened by the location...there's a reason why this place is always listed as the best Thai in Denver by Westword, 5280, etc.
Doesn't look like much on the outside but the food was great! Â We had the shrimp spring rolls for an appetizer with a peanut sauce. Then had Tom Yum soup and it was yum in the tum no doubt. Â The soup had chicken, tomatoes, think crimini mushrooms, Â chunks of onions, fresh hot peppers (from owner's garden?), and the most flavorful broth. Â We got a curry entree but couldn't eat it as i was too full.. and nothing could top that soup!
$10 minimum for credit cards
I have been here 4 times now. And whenever i have someone visiting denver, this is one of my must-eat places for them.
The curries are what i like at Thai flavor and they are pungent. There is a heat that at once delights and sears your taste.
I have tried the red curry, masmaan curry and panang curry, and panang curry is my favorite of all.
And dont forget to have their trademark dessert - mango and sticky rice. Its like heaven on earth.
Westword AGAIN proves that their awards are based solely on where editors lived. No one that lived near Wild Ginger, Tommy's Thai, or US Thai could have eaten at Thai flavor and claimed that it was even in the same ballgame as the aforementioned favorites.
I had the Pad Thai as I am wont to do at my first visit to a Thai restaurant.
The noodles were gummy, the sauce had too much ketchup in it, it was overdone, and the tofu was overcooked.
On TOP of B- Pad Thai, the service was AWFUL.
I will never go back - why would I when there are so many other awesome Thai places in town?
Thai Flavor is as good as it has been, for me, in a long while. Â It's not my favorite place because I've had better (i.e. Colorado Springs' Thai Orchid- a place long retired but was the stuff legends are made of). Â But when I say that I'm "going out for Thai", this is where I'm heading. Â The prices are decent for the portion size (which is a real nail-biter in my Denver Thai cuisine quest), the food is good, and the service is fast.
The Good & Bad Rundown:
+ flavor profile: balanced; actual Thai ingredients; depths of flavor; 4.5/5
+ chili tray
+ good portions
+ nice lunch specials
+ fresh food without a long wait
+ spicy is actually spicy (bravo!)
+ Jungle Curry (mmm, spicy)
+ Pad Thai
+ Fried Rice
+ Tom Yum soup
+ Papaya salad
- can get pricey if you want to dip your taste buds into everything
- flavors are consistent maybe 90% of the time.
Ultimately, Thai Flavor is my "go-to" place; It is where I bring people, where my beau and I rendezvous, and where I satisfy cravings. Â Thumbs up*
You can spend a long time in Denver looking for a combination of three traits in a restaurant: good food, reliable quality, and friendly waitstaff. Or you can just go to Thai Flavor and save yourself the search. From the campy name to the location in a strip mall to the outstanding spice balance to the indestructible affability of the owner/waiters, this is pretty much what Thai food should be.
It's not Swing Thai (a few reliably good things on the menu, more ambiance, less taste). It's not Tommy's (reliably mediocre main dishes, good soup, funky decor). It's not elegant, it's not a first-date place, it's not where to go for your anniversary unless your spouse is a particular flavor of awesome. It's the place you go when you want to spend a modest sum on good food and not feel like the people behind the counter would really enjoy immersing your head in a barrel of tom kha and holding you under.
Come to think of it, a barrel of the tom kha here would be a pretty good way to go out. Add a side of drunken noodles and I'll climb in myself. If you're looking for good Thai in Denver, you should stop in.
Pretty big fan of T. Flavor. Â Definitely worth the drive from springs. Â The waiters are friendly and helpful, and they really hustle as it's gotten busy. Â The place is not that nice inside, but it really doesn't matter if the food is good.
And the food is GOOD: spicy, sour, or sweet. Â An in-your-face flavor that Chinese (HK) food cannot provide.
I've tried a few dishes of their vast menu and all have turned out pretty well: soups, salads, noodles, stir-frys. Â They stir-fry Thai Eggplants beautifully. Â Crisp and not soggy. Â There is even a small menu completely in Thai (which i can't read). Â I have noticed old Thai ladies coming here to gossip and eat dinner which is a good sign. Â I would still like to go back again to try Gai Yang (marinated chicken) and Boat noodles (noodles in a soup made from pig blood). Â An Ethnic Aurora find!
So I'll admit that my experience with Thai food prior to eating at Thai Flavor was limited to only a couple of places and a couple of times, but that doesn't change the fact that this was fantastic!
So far I've eaten Thai Flavor three times, Pad Thai (tofu), Pad Thai (tofu), and then Jungle Curry (tofu). The Pad Thai is really just wonderful. I did not care for the Jungle Curry, but that is more an issue of taste rather than quality. I did try a friend's Panang Curry with tofu and it was also excellent.
I get Thai Flavor take out about once a week now and bring it back to work for my lunch. It's always ready when I need it to be and they are always friendly, even remembering me on only my second visit.
Highly recommended, give these guys a try.
After a long drive from IA, we decided to try Thai Flavor before heading back home in Colorado Springs. Â Must I say, another ethnic hidden gem in Aurora! Â The restaurant offers various menu items, ranges from street food to normal menu items that are commonly served in restaurants in Thailand. Â Most of the menu is in English but there is a page of Thai menu on the very last page.
Since their menu was so big, I took forever to go through menu items. Â I ended up deciding on Tom Yum Shrimp, Yum Woonsen (Bean thread salad), and Pad Ped Pork. Â I don't believe Pad Ped Pork was on their menu but the waitress gladly took my order anyways. Â Also, beware that their spicy is actually spicy, unlike many Thai restaurants out there that cater to the cliental. Â I personally could handle BWW Blazin wings easily and whenever I visit Thailand, I order all my meals mild. Â I ordered medium at Thai Flavor and it was still hot but not unbearably hot. Â Upon the arrival of what we ordered, the dishes looked definitely authentic, I repeat AUTHENTIC! Â
All three dishes tasted mostly authentic (and very authentic in comparison to other Thai restaurants in Colorado), but there are still minor flaws. Â Tom Yum Soup was good except it was overpowered by sourness. Â This is not the only dish I noticed; Yum Woonsen was as well too sour and a little too salty. Â Usually, my taste butts like the sourness and didn't mind any of the dishes above, but I could see it would have been a problem for people that aren't used to it. Â The last and the highlight dish, Pad Ped Pork was just fantastic - no complaint on this one! Â Thai Flavor's food was surprisingly authentic. Â This is the first Thai restaurant in Colorado that I am pleased with. Â It isn't as good as anything you could get along a street in Thailand but it is good enough to shut me up from bashing on Thai restaurants in Colorado.
Besides the fantastic food, the service was also exceptional. Â Our glasses were consistently filled. Â The waitress and the owner (I believe), came by and asked if everything was okay and If anything else is needed to make our dining experience better. Â I am definitely a big fan! Â Â Incredible food, outstanding service, private parking lot - what else can you ask for?
Im here for work from cali and was really craving some thai  This place was frkn awesome (not as yummy as south lake tahoe) but awesome. The hostess was nice and continuously smiling. I'm going back today!
I drafted this when i was still in Denver and i so miss this place. Â i haven't looked in Stockton yet for a Thai place but I hope when I find it, it's just as good. Â (tears flowing down lol)
I've been off thai food since I moved to Denver 2002 cause the thai food here is largely crap.
I met someone from thailand and asked her where she goes. She told me Thai Flavor so I went and checked it out. It's pretty damn good. They have a whole section of the menu written in Thai. They have some general american favorities but they also have some true to life thai. I had a whole grilled squid that was awesome and the sauce alone knocked me back into 1989. I'm heading back soon!
It's a hole in the wall so don't expect the bells and whistles of fine dining. Just shut up and eat the exceptional food coming outta the kitchen.
Aurora is a little short on good Thai restaurants (and yes, I'm including the one that says it's Thai but doesn't seem to know what it actually is). That's why Thai Flavor near Mississippi and Peoria is such a great find.
I particularly love the marinated and grilled chicken called Gai Yang. This bird is so tender and tasty that it really doesn't need anything to accompany it (which is just as well since it's rather sparsely-adorned). Also fantastic are the vegetable dishes. For example, the Kana (a firm, stalky green better known by some of you as Gailan or Chinese broccoli) is a crisp and crunchy treat..(Sadly, the melting, herbaceous Pakboong [morning glory greens] - which have only been sporadically available at the best of times - now seem to have completely dropped off the menu).
Or how about one of their super soups, like Yentafo (a vividly pink seafood soup flavored by fermented beancurd) or the hearty, beefy Boat Noodles? Speaking of soup, they do offer Pho as well, but wouldn't you like to try out all the Thai stuff first?
Round things out with a cold Thai tea and a plate of Sticky Rice with Mango, and you can't ask for a better meal. And wasn't that the purpose of this review?
Thai Flavor is now my 2nd ranked Thai restaurant in Denver and could possible become my official go-to restaurant for Thai cuisine. Â I still need to try a few more of their offerings before I make my final decision. Â
The highlight of my meal was the jungle curry. Â Almost every Thai restaurant will feature only curries made with coconut milk. Â Many will even have a jungle curry made with coconut milk. Â Not all curries are made with coconut milk, and jungle curry is one of those. Â It is a dish that has its origins in Northern Thailand where coconuts don't grow. Â The dish served at Thai Flavor is true to its origins, curry paste blended with stock making for a soupy dish. Â It is then loaded with boatloads of veggies and a meat option of your choice. Â The flavors blended to perfection, bursting with lemongrass, kaffir lime leaf, and chilies. Â In addition, the veggies were fresh and delicious. Â
I was slightly disappointed in my som tom, but I may equate this to a communication error on my end. Â I once had a som tom that was ridiculously spicy - which, when combined with the flood of lime juice and salt of the dish, will burn in your mouth forever. Â As a result, I always proceed with caution and ask to have my som tom mild; which I believe to mean mildly spicy. Â However, this dish came out with absolutely no spice at all. Â There was no mashed pepper in the marinade. Â The dish was flavored well, the papaya was crisp and refreshing, but it need just a little hint of spicy. Â
Our last dish was Rad Na, which I never know whether to pronouce is Rad Na or Lad Na, which is how my mom pronounces it. Â My mom struggles with r sounds in English and pronounces words like Rail Road, Lail Load. Â Anyways, this is a dish I grew up eating and is very good dish to have as an introduction Thai food. Â Noodles sauteed with pork and/or shrimp with vegetables (usually broccoli). Â It is typically served mild, but you can top it with peppers in vinegar and/or chile flakes. Â Thai Flavor makes an excellent Rad Na, but not quite the best.
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with the food and flavors here. Â They now have a liquor license, so you can wash you meal down with a cold Singha. Â The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, despite its location in an unappealing strip mall. Â Definitely worth an excursion if you find yourself on this side of town.
I have been coming here for a while. Â Over the last few years this place has never let me down. Â I have eaten many things on the menu here and never have gone wrong. Â
I love the Thom Kah Gai soup here. Â For those who have no clue what this is, ORDER IT. Â Its chicken and coconut milk soup. Â Thom Kah does not taste like coconut persay. Â The flavors that stand out the most are Galanga, lemon grass, lime leaf and cilantro. Â This soup has the most dynamic flavor you will ever have. Â I crave it. Â I have had Thom Kah at MANY different Thai places and many of them are not that good. Â But the soup here is excellent. Â
I have eaten the Jungle Curry here. Â This is a type of curry that is based off a water broth rather than coconut milk. Â It does not have the normal flavor of the usual curries you may know. Â If you are searching for something different, try this. Â I love it.
I have had all the curries here. Â I will have to say that I LOVE their red currie. Â I REALLY appreciate the fact that they add TONS of veggies into it. Â They use 2 different types of eggplants. Â Both the round green thai eggplant and the japanese eggplants. Â The green currie is the same way. Â I just love em.
I have had the Pad Thai here, Â Its ok. Â I like it but I have had better. Â Just to over cooked for my liking.
One of my favorite dishes here is "Royal Chicken" Â I think that is the name. Â Its a stir fry dish made with smoke chillies. Â It is not too hot and has a wonderful smokey flavor to it that makes me crave going back for more.
The desert here is outstanding. Â Generally I never order desert in an oriental place. Â Because most of the time they are bland. Â But not here. Â I LOVE fried bananas and the Bananas (forget the rest of the name). Â
Really I have eaten in many Thai places around town. Â I mourn the loss of Yummy Yummy Tasty Thai. Â But this place has taken its place as the best Thai in Denver.
Hmmm, I am torn about this place. Â When the first time, hubby purchased the food to bring home, the food was MIGHTY tasty. Â Meaning its SUPER HOT aka SUPER SPICY for our consumption. Â Anything SPICY gets the 2 thumbs up for me.
The take out food were:
* Â Tom Yum Shrimp
* Â Chicken Green Curry
* Â Pineapple Fried Rice with Shrimp
* Â Chicken Thai Flavor Satay
Â
Then on the faithful Friday evening of December 5th againsts all odds since at that time I am still under the weather, I brave myself to go to Thai Flavor for dinner with hubby.
These were what we ordered for that evening:
* Â Sampler Platter
* Â Tom Yum Seafood ~mine
* Â Rama ~ hubby
It falls short since when we ask for the Tom Yum Seafood to be extra spicy, it came not spicy at all. Â :( Â
*SIGH*
I think next time around, if I were to go there or even ask for take out, I would emphasis the word "EXTRA-EXTRA Spicy"...
Then came our beverages, when hubby ask for HOT COFFEE, they served him ICED Milk Cofee instead while my Jasmine HOT Tea were so bland...
Sandwiched between a scary looking philipino take-out place and a scarier looking carneceria in a run-down strip mall, this is not the kind of place you would drive by and say "Let's stop there for lunch."
But you would be missing out on a fantastic Thai place and a great meal. Â My coworkers and I stop by here regularly for lunch and love it. Â Unfortunately I've found a favorite dish (Pad Gra Pao with Ground Chicken) so really never order anything else anymore. Â But my co-workers assure me that their Pad Thai's and Curries are equally delicious. Â We all keep coming back so I guess it's true.
Service is good but it can get hectic at lunch time with a lot of people coming in.
