I cannot understand why this place gets more than three stars. It belongs on Restaurant Impossible.
I would be shocked if they actually made anything from scratch. It basically tastes like cafeteria food. Canned vegetables all the way. Mashed potatoes that are probably from a powder. Cheese sauce that is the definition of grainy. Crinkle fries. Gross. Giant menu for no apparent reason. The only thing that I consider edible there is their pork tenderloin sandwich.
Service is okay in the sense that they're fairly attentive, but generally I get the impression they'd rather be anywhere but Top Cats, just like me.
Definately a Springfield locals place. I've been to Top Cat's numerous times, and always have consistant, hot, good food and we've always had friendly, fast service.
Top Cat's is your basic "bar food" type of menu, but does offer a daily special on the board. Very good horse/pony shoes!
Moderate pricing...worth a stop if you're in this area!
