Turkey Time BBQ & Grill

I went here when they initially opened under a different name and the turkey tacos were delicious.   I wish that was true this time.  I bought two tacos and they were so salty I didn't eat the 2nd for fear of a heart attack.  It was not good and they were lukewarm.   I will NOT be returning!

I felt like I was running from one place to the other today and I decide that I was going to finally get some of these Turkey Tips everyone has been raving about!

I keep saying what is Turkey Tips the last time I checked Turkeys didn't have tips!!!

Anyway, I begin my order but I didn't realize that the lady behind the glass is doing something and she asked me to wait a minute, "No Problem" I say!

She finishes up whatever she is doing and she moves down a smidgen to the window next to mine, so I'm like ohhhhh I place my order here...I'm sorry!

She gives me that lackluster look of just place your order lady so the next customer can order, so I scoot down place my order check in on Yelp and find out that I can get a free dessert for this check in...You wouldn't believe how happy I am for the words free to pop up on my  phone screen.

Anyway, I leave out because she tells me it will take about 5 to 10 mins before my food is ready...NO Problem actually that is great, I'm thinking I will show her my coupon/deal when I get back!!!

Well, when I get back my food is ready and the young lady is already pushing it through some get your food and leave comtramption, but I am excited and I don't mind that thing so I tell the cashier about my Free dessert from Yelp, which I have been bragging about to my grand daughter for the past 5 mins. all the way back to the restaurant.

I grab my bag and I tell her about my coupon/deal from Yelp and she asked to see it, Im like "Oh Yeah!" Then she gives me a smile and says "Oh Sorry, we don't have any dessert today!"  

"What, Really?"  when I said I had a coupon/deal from yelp that gave me a free dessert why didn't she say just say sorry at that moment and tell me that I would  have to cash that in another day, but she has me show her coupon/deal then says sorry we don't have any dessert today, "WOW!!!" for a lack of a better word that was really bogus!

I look at my grand daughter and tell her that she won't be getting the dessert I had been tell her about and she just looks at me and says "That's okay Nana!!" I think I was more upset than her...but hey she is 4 and we have an election coming up, why would she worry about free dessert!!!

Now, the place was clean, the service was OK and the famous Turkey Tips are good but all it is, is chopped up Turkey with BBQ sauce sorry to bust your bubble, but if it makes people who have stopped eating pork and beef feel like they are eating real BBQ rib tips, then I say hey this place got all the turkey you will ever need and it is made exactly for you and people looking for something alternative to eat!

I can't say I did my little happy dance but the flavor was good and on a day I don't feel like cooking I may come back but its not on my top 10 wish list of returning places to come back too.

All I know is I'm keeping my receipt and bringing back my coupon/deal, and I will see if they honor it...If they don't, they really don't have to worry about getting any business from me again!!!

Turkey coming out the ears at this place! It is awesome and far from your usually BBQ joint! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Turkey Time BBQ & Grill.

We couldn't sit down and eat, just passing through...but their service was quick getting the food out to us!

Totally recommend!
