I was soo pleasantly surprised with this place! The service isn't all that spectacular, and it's basically a sports bar with a restaurant attached, but the food is delicious. I've never had Italian food like this!
I feel like we just hit the jackpot with what we ordered, but I ain't complaining! I would order these things again if I ever return.
1. Grilled calamari - we got 4 whole pieces of squid! No wimpy strips! I loved it. It was topped with a zesty, tomato-y sauce which was super yummy.
2. Spinach ravioli - sounds boring, right? Ahhhh it was so flavorful and unique. Usually ravioli comes slathered in some cream sauce, but this dish had cheese-stuffed ravioli with sun dried tomatoes and oodles and oodles (why am I talking like this) of spinach. Idk how they cooked the spinach, but it was kinda crispy? Suuuper gooood.
Don't forget the $10 for $20 deal on yelp!
I like the food here and I never get tired of the novelty of eating in an old train car. However, I wish this place would do a little makeover. My boyfriend and I both hate the sports bar thing they have going on in the front room and the decor inside the "dining car" could use an upgrade. We keep coming back, though, because we want this place to succeed, like "the little engine that could (use some new wall art.")
