PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE LOWER YOUR PRICES!!! Â
Not only did you raise your prices but you lowered the portion sizes. Â You used to put more meat on your Samiches. Â The Samiches and Soups are still very good but I can't justify eating here too often. Â
The only decent priced item is the Hot Dog Special. Â
Every once in awhile I splurge and go there for the half a Samich and Soup with a Pop. Â I usually get the Turkey with Lobster Bisque on Friday only. Â But of course their is hardly any Turkey on the Samich now. Â The Meatball Samich Special is good on Tuesdays and Thursdays but still expensive for being on a special.
I just got a soup and sandwich at the 233 N. Michigan location in Chicago. The worker did not put the soup top on my to go order properly and it ended up leaking through the bag. In an attempt to save it, I stuck my hand under the bag and the soup proceeded to spill and burn my hand and wrist very badly, to the point of welts forming on the bottom of my hand. It also leaked all over my sandwich and totally ruined it. I suggest you get some better lids to fit on your soup containers before someone gets really hurt.
Review Source:I used to go to this place every once and a while a few years ago. Back then, I would've given this place a solid 3 stars; decent sandwiches with a considerable amount of meat.
Not even close anymore.
First, they raised their prices of each sandwich at least $1, maybe even more. Second, the size of the sandwich itself, end to end, is probably 2/3 the size that it used to be. Third, and worst of all, they put MAYBE 1/5 of the meat that they used to put on their sandwiches. I literally got ONE slice of roast beef on my sandwich which they charge approximately $8 for.
To say the least, avoid this place like the plague. Honestly, i don't know how they stay in business with all the other options in the area.
