The Waiting Room

I am very local to this bar (within 30 mins). With that in mind let us review.

Jaime is a very good bartender. She's the only person that keeps me going to this bar. James is a decent KJ.

Not much else I can say. I'm usually here when Jaime is here serving me drinks. I am sort of a regular.

The waiting room is hidden behind some other building but it's visible from the street.. place is  small, has 2 pool tables and some flatscreens.

Happyy Hour: m-f , 4:30-7:30(bar time, not yours)
well drinks 2.5, bud 1.50
pour: gin tonic (2.5)
-decent pour

on draughts:
-many drafts available, didn't ask price.
-few people here during happy hour., just a few strange ones. maybe that's why or they left early.
-not sure about regular pricing.
-proclaimed "sports bar" -not sure how.

I don't know about all of you who go to this place on any other nights of the week-- but come Monday night, I am here. always.

I came in a few weeks ago because my friend dragged me out. in my head, I thought, "a bar in -Castro Valley-? you're kidding right...?"

but when I sat down and decided that my first drink was going to be a Bloody Mary (no, I wasn't hungover lol), I was surprised to see what went in it.

Sassan (or better known as Shawn) is amazing. AMAAAZINGGG. (: he makes one of the best Bloody Marys I've had on this side of the Bay! and I can't stress how happy I am that he doesn't just throw vodka in a cup filled 3/4 with 'Bloody Mary mix' without all the other things he contributes to that drink. the first time I went there, he told me it wasn't complete without horseradish. so I said that he has to bring it next time. well-- the next few weeks were horseradish-less, but one Monday, he ACTUALLY BROUGHT SOME. lol (: those were very amazing Bloody Marys indeed.

on a side note, a Bloody Mary isn't the only thing he can make amazingly. we have come up with a version of the White Russian just por moi. :P and he has a drink called 'Passion Fruit Paris', I believe (or was it Parisian Passion? always too buzzed to remember when I order it... ahahaaaa). DELICIOUS. (:

come in Sunday nights or Monday nights and give this place a try! beer pong on Sundays and $2 Mai Tais on Mondays. tell 'Shawn' that Aya sent you. :D
