A true gem... nuff said.

***BEST DIVE BAR EVER***

Due to a 90 minute wait at Kuma's, we sauntered over to Wally's and had the best time. Total dark hole in the wall with zero amenities. The kicker here is Wally himself. Wonderful older guy from Europe with hours and hours of great stories and inappropriate jokes.

Beyond him, the bar itself nice and quiet, the drinks are cheap and stiff, and if you're lucky Wally will let you wear his clogs.

I will never go to Chicago again without coming here.

We went here last night for a friend's birthday. Wally is a total trip. The beer is pretty cheap (bottles only), and Wally provided entertainment for hours. We got there at 8:30 and we were all having such a good time, he had to kick us out at 2 am (on a Tuesday. Not sure if he closes early or at a whim with others).  

Anyway, I would highly recommend going there. The owners are a national treasure and have some incredible stories about traveling the world and growing up in Belgium. This is the perfect dive bar.
