This is a review of the pub portion, we stopped by late and the restaurant half was closed.
Webby's was the most friendly bar I have been to in South Florida. They were packed when we got there, (they aren't very big), and we wanted to eat but there was nowhere to sit. A few of the patrons moved down so we could squeeze in an extra bar stool, which was pretty neat. At some of the other bars we have been to, I'm pretty sure the other customers would have just stared at us.
They were also having karaoke night, where we heard everything from Conway Twitty to Sir Mix-a-Lot. And the singers were extremely enthusiastic about their singing.
The bartender was working his butt off and was busy, but we never went with out a drink.
The food was cheap. $5.95 for a Philly Cheese Steak, $1 extra for fries. They also had some specials like meat loaf and prime rib written on a dry erase board. I had the blackened dolphin sandwich. The spice on the fish was great, but it was a little overcooked. It was on a sub or hoagie roll, which I didn't care for, but that was purely personal preference. The fries were a little old.
My husband had a Philly Cheese Steak, which he really enjoyed. Not the best ever, but quite good for what you pay. His fries were also a little old.
I gave Webby's 4 stars not because of the food, but because of the service and the hometown bar type atmosphere. I love bars that make me feel like I am a welcome and a regular. Webby's did both. No, you won't eat 5 star cuisine, but you will have a good time.
This place is not closed, but it may as well be. Â We went in here Saturday night for dinner and there were 3 other pepople in the place. Â The restaurant side was not open so we had to eat in the bar. Â The food was covered in mustard and the ketchup was over-ripe. Â I went to the bathroom, and it had a very strong pee smell. Â We will not be going back. Yuck!
