There is a short supply of great lunch places in Plantation so when a co-worker suggested we go to a Cuban restaurant called Las Vegas I didn't hesitate. Â The food was nothing special but I am not the biggest fan of Cuban food to begin with. Â The service was quick and of course that is always appreciated when you are pressed for time. Â I am happy I tried because now I can scratch it off my list of possible stops during my lunch hour.
Review Source:I am not a Latin food fan, but my husband was whining about wanting to go here. Â I decided to make it to-go. Â I had ordered a Cuban sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, and a pulled pork lunch platter special. Â I was pleasantly surprised by the food. Â The Cuban was a fat sandwich. Â The only suggestion I had was that it could be a little drier. Â I hate that the juices made the bread soggy on the ends. Â My sister had the pulled pork sandwich, which was very good. Â The bread wasn't soggy on the ends. Â The pulled pork was nicely seasoned and didn't seem too fatty or soggy from sitting in the fat all day. Â The black bean and rice side was good. Â It wasn't salty like most places I have tried. Â I didn't try the plantains, so I couldn't comment on that.
The customer service here was outstanding. Â The guy in the front was very helpful and didn't mind answering any questions I had about the food. Â The restaurant is very clean. Â I would like to come back here the next time I am in town.
