The atmosphere is terrible and the drinks are overpriced. Asking $20 for a single pitcher of sam adams boston lager is highway robbery. Â No music playing for much of the time I was there on a saturday night between 9 and midnight- unusual for most bars. Â Simply cannot recommend this bar as anything but a last resort if you are stuck on main street in Fishkill.
Review Source:Went to give another try. It was the same experience as the first time. Regular customers smoking in the bar. Bartenders acting like customers doing more socializing than serving drinks. If your an outsider, they regulars get pissed that your there or your in their seat  and they let it be known to a confrontational state.  Cash only and no tabs allowed.
Review Source:The White House is my quintessential hometown dive bar. Pool table, video golf, dart board and bourbon in mass quantities are just some of the things that make this place special. Much to the chagrin of management circa 1987, this was the bar in which I had my first drink, and thanks to the White House, I haven't looked back. Their jukebox always seem to be playing some random Aerosmith tune and the bartender is usually about three drinks more drunk than the average patron. Some local bus owning genius has even come up with a plan to get the locals from the bar back to their homes. A ride home, avoiding the DWI aren't exactly priceless but well worth the cost of a phone call. If you ever find yourself in Fishkill, after you've asked yourself the question, "what the hell am I doing here?" Grab a quick pop at the White House, and while you're there ask the bartender for the dice behind the bar. You won't be disappointed.
