The best wings ever - even compared to other wingstop locations - for some reason they are just not the same. These are the absolute best and I will continue to go. I never stay to eat here because the place is small but it works out because we don't want to make a show for people when we eat our traditional (bone-in) wings. In the summer/spring/fall time we'll actually buy them, drive to the nearby forest preserve and sit at a picnic table and just eat and enjoy nature. It's one of my favorite things to do.
Review Source:REALLY??? People like this place? I volunteered to go get the wings friday night. It was the first time I had tried them. I called the order in and left right away to go get them since I live 15+ min away. The first thing - some guy walks in the door ahead of me when I opened it as if I opened it for him. It is CRAZY busy at 8 pm. I realize they do not have a separate like for pick-ups nor do they yell out and ask if anyone is there for a pick up, so I have to stand in the LONG line when my order is on the counter getting cold. The layout is a mess when it is crowded and it was hard to get out the door holding 2 drinks and a bag of chicken. Nobody moves out of the way and you can't get aorund people in front of the door! I get home thinking these better be really good for all the hassle. For the first time the roomie did not say the wings were not hot enough! My teriyaki and mild were not so great. Hardly any sauce on them and the teriyaki was just not right. Plus, these have to be the skimpiest wings I have ever seen. The fries were mush by the time I got home - the dog got a few and I tossed the rest. I don't think I will make the hassle and go back - unless the rommie is REALLY convincing. It just was not worth the price and hassle to me.
Review Source:This place has delicious wings! However, I had to get used to their taste ( as weird as that sounds) because in the begging I hated them. My girlfriend introduced me to them and at first I would hate to eat them, absolutely hated their taste. Yet, when I tried some more and more I decided that they are not so bad until the moment when I was so obsessed with them that I almost got them daily. My favorite would be boneless garlic parmesan and teriyaki wings, my girlfriend's hot wings with ranch, but we both love their fries. Â I usually order wings and pick them up to go. Â We have been there once where we sat down and ate but the place is too crowded and too small to actually enjoy the meal that is why we always take it to go. Overall, great wings not too pricey but you do have to like the taste of them because it is different (at least for me).
Wingstop is awesome
Daaaaaamn, some people take their wings seriously. Â
This location is small and if you're at the table by the door, you're going to have a line of people hovering around you while you eat. Â Whatevs. Â I eat boneless now, so I don't mind an audience, but if you're a messy wing eater, you might want a table on the other side. Â
TVs are small, service was kind of slow BUT..they have grape pop! Â I always think I'm going to be disappointed with Wingstop wings, but I never am. Â Plus, the fries are addicting.
Wing stop? Was my FAVORITE wing place! now.. i HATE THEM!!! I GO any where but HERE!! if iwant wings.. which i get soo damn often!! Â I love wings!! .... I like to order the chicken strips because their longer and so good compared to the boneless wings! But its been like 5!! times that ive ordered my strips! and they gave me less and they look like boneless wings, i went back to complain and believe me when i say THEY DONT GIVE A RATS ASS! they looked at me like i was crazy,,.. im not! i order it all the damn time! and also!! i ordered online and realized THE SAME EXACT ORDER I ALWAYS ORDER IS CHEAPER ONLINE? WHY SO? cause their ripping you off!!! Never never never againw will i come here.. and BELIEVE ME Â i spread the word real quick to all my friends. Damn shame.. Â and my credit card never seems to work here? till they charged me twice.. woah.
Review Source:I have always had great service here. Sometimes they randomly give you extra wings. There's always more than enough sauce on the wings as well.
I've never been a fan of their sugar sprinkled fries but I've heard others praise it.
I usually get carryout because space is limited and it's usually busy. It's next to a small college. It's a good idea to call ahead and place your order, especially for carryout.
The staff are friendly also.
I go here and to the Western and Addison location every so often. This one is much smaller, but the food is always great and the service is attentive and friendly. I prefer the teriyaki and bbq wings with some fries. As many people have said the only down fall is that you're usually waiting for some time to get the wings. Most of the time this location is packed which is unfortunate. It would be great if they can renovate this place and make it larger.
Review Source:There's a reason that this place is always busy- Wingstop is the go-to late night guilty pleasure for me and everybody else near Galewood. In this neighborhood the food options are very limited in the late evening.
As for the wings, they're super good. my favorite flavors are the garlic Parmesan and the original hot. The fries are freaking awesome as well.
The only negative thing I'll say is that the blue cheese sauce is super thin and watered down. If it was a true thick blue cheese dressing I could easily give this place 5 stars for what it is.
I love wings, and the best wings i've had is at Wing Stop. I've legit been going here since circa 2002. Which is a long fucking time if you've only been alive since 1994. Nearly 60% of my life right there. Â I usually get 1/2 mild and 1/2 lemon pepper. The fries are delicious and full of like ~10 secret spices, which are fun to guess. I'm pretty sure it includes salt, pepper, cumin, sugar, garlic seasoning, bbq seasoning...idk for sure. They also have really good potato salad. I usually tend to switch off between those 2 sides.
It does often take forever to get the food though.
HE - "What do you want to eat? Â Johnnies, Jimmy Johns, New Star, Wok/Roll, McDonalds, Wing Stop?"
ME: Â "NO, NO, NO, NO, NO & NO! Â I don't want any of those places and I don't even eat McDonalds. Â I had Wing Stop some years ago and did not like it."
HE, after coming home w/ and consuming dried up looking wangettes and burnt fries - "THAT SUCKED!"
~Please help ME to stop being lazy and to cook more meals at home so He never has to make a stop at Wingstop ever again~
Wingstop chicken wings are finger licking good. I always order the original hot and the barbecue, and I eat them like they are going out of style, they are that good! The cheese sauce is a must have for the fries and don't forget the ranch dip for the wings. I wish they could expand the place, it gets pretty crowded on the weekends, but that doesn't take away from the taste of the wings. They are really good!
Review Source:They went out of their way to permanently lose four long-time customers.
I was a customer for longer than five years, continually buying the EXACT SAME ORDER every time: 20 hot wings, 20 mild, 10 hickory. It never varied. I never asked for any extras, or any variation from that order.
Clearly, I thought the food was good enough to return, until yesterday. I placed the EXACT SAME ORDER as I did in years past. It was noisy, there was a 45 minute wait when 15-20 minutes was promised, so it could be that I and the employee did not hear each other, although I have my doubts. I took the wings home and discovered they looked like meatballs, and there were only two varieties of them, not three kinds.
I called to complain that the order was wrong. The employee insisted that I asked for "boneless" wings. What in hell is a boneless wing? Wings have bones, that's how nature made them. After asking for the manager, and if I could get the order I always get, the complaint turned into an insulting ordeal. The manager and the employee were adamant that I asked for "boneless" wings, despite the fact that I NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING. He said, "I stand by my employee, he's good at what he does."
The manager refused to do anything to resolve a customer's complaint. His advice, "We're not going to exchange them. Just eat the wings." Then, he made an analogy that a well-known steakhouse would not bring out a new steak if the customer wanted it replaced. Hey, dumbass, the steakhouse mentioned actually does replace steaks to uphold their quality of customer service.
So, standing by his employee of one year is more important than keeping a five-year customer coming back. They clearly have no intention to retain longtime customers. I spread the word, and now we're up 4 who will easily buy chicken wings (with bones) anywhere else but Wingstop.
I love these wings. Â My girlfriend and i will treat ourselves with them once a month. Â Their fries are good too. Â They add some kind of spice to them that i cant quite grasp- in a good way though.
My only critique is going to pick up your food. Â There is no designated pick-up line. Â You are then forced to wait in line behind some idiot who doesnt know what he wants even though he's been in line for ten minutes. Â It's happened to me on many occasions. Â I just want my wings damn it. Â Minus one star for that torture.
Love love love me some Wingstop! I'll take this over any other wing place I've been to in a heartbeat.
This location is much smaller than the one that recently opened in Northlake, so you most likely should order for pick-up or carry-out because this location can get packed quickly.
But that doesn't change the quality of the food. The wings here are just as great as the ones from the Northlake location. Everything is made fresh as soon as you order, and with your flavors of choice. Again, I choose the boneless strips over the traditional. That's my personal preference but everyone else I frequent Wingstop with insists that the traditional wings are much better; I can't imagine how much better these can get!
I still love their blue cheese, it gets me everytime. As I stated in my other Wingstop review, I'm not even a fan of blue cheese, in fact, I hate it elsewhere. But everytime I order wings from Wingstop I make SURE to get the blue cheese.
The service at this location is good as well. My one friend comes so often that they remember him by name, and even agree to combine two sauces together for him, he calls it "Reggie Sauce", which is a combination of two of Wingstop's sauces. I think it's pretty cool for them to remember him and allow him to do that.
Overall, again, Wingstop holds my favorite wings all around.
I have been here way too many times to count and I have never been disappointed. This is a great place to come if you are hosting a party and need muchies for people. I love the large variety of wings they have and the flavors. The boneless are great for my kids and I love the salty and sweeet flavoring used on the french fries.
I can say that this place is busy. There is not another one for miles so people come from all over to get wings here. I always recommend calling ahead rather than picking up or you could potentially be waiting quite awhile. Otherwise, definitely try it because you won't be disappointed.
Superbowl Sunday Approved.
I gave Wing Stop one mo' 'gain during the Snowpocalypse 2011. The first time I had Wing Stop, the wings were on point...and considering I'm not big on eating chicken off the bone, that was major praise. The second time was mediocre at best. I cannot eat wings that are not crispy. Ugh.
So in my laziness yesterday (snow days can be so draining, ha!), I gave the local Wing Stop one more try. This time I told them to fry them crispy, and voila--my lemon pepper wings were perfecto!!!
They've made the Superbowl Sunday menu. The less work, the better, right?
So the official reco is LEMON PEPPER WINGS, fried CRISPY. If you like sauce, opt for the bleu cheese.
Touchdown.
Best wings ever
yummmm
My favorite are the boneless barbecue wings with blue cheese dressing, they are fantastic and full of flavor. Â Once you start, you can't stop eating them!!!
The fries are great as well and addicting!
I could eat these wings every day of my life, unfortunately I would probably be obese, ha.
I HIGHLY recommend these wings, best I've ever had.
I LOVE wings, and I rarely find a place that has good ones!
Wing Stop has a a great variety. I have ordered multiple times; always take out because they are so busy and the seating area is small.
I've never had a problem with the service.
The wings are super flavorful and fresh...they don't taste like they were frozen and microwaved. Also, the fries are AMAZING!!
Can't beat the price for great wings!
For those of you who make their own chicken wings, you know it's a process - one that, if done right, involves a scalding vat of oil and enough wings to feed 8 people even if it's only for two. For me, it also involves buying all the ingredients to make my special spicy wing sauce. Trust me, my sauce is legit - just ask my mom (no really, she likes it a lot, and it's NOT just b/c I'm her daughter and she has to like what I make).
Sometimes, though, you just want wings quick, hot and fresh. Enter: Wingstop. This place is a chain, but my opinion on chains is that they must have started out at least somewhat decent in order for someone to want to franchise them. (Wow Bao serves as the giant exception to that b/c I can't imagine that place ever having been good).
That being said, I genuinely like Wingstop's wings and love Wingstop's fries. LOVE their fries. There must be brown sugar or something sweet in the seasoning b/c you get a nice combo of salty sweet of which I can't get enough.
Better yet, when I don't want to make wings, I order ONLINE (impersonal communication at its BEST) and have hot, fresh wings in 25 minutes. Quick - check. Hot - check. Fresh - ...CHECK!
My main gripes with Wingstop are:
-- the subpar service/set up of the restaurant where pick up orders are not separated from walk in orders,
-- the rolls. WHY do people insist on serving gross items and saying they're complementary - it's truly beyond my comprehension, and most importantly
-- the variety of wing flavors i.e. their hot aren't hot enough but the atomic are just inedible.
I may be spoiled as I've already had the best wings of my life in a joint since closed in Lawrence, Kansas. Oh, Mojo's how I dream of your 5 alarm wing sauce. I have a huge gripe with wing places that just throw lots of hot pepper onto a wing and call it their 5 alarm or atomic or what have you wings. I love super spicy. What I don't love is a wing that has no flavor but spicy. There is no fun in eating a wing b/c it's hot if the flavor sucks. I'm speaking to you, atomic sauce. I want to eat you, but I just don't like the way you taste. Sorry.
In any case, when I want wings quick, hot, and fresh, I go to Wingstop. I've been on a number of occasions, and the food has always been worthy of my praise.
Running late for the fight! People are waiting for wings. What's a girl to do?
Ring, ring. Wingstop he says. 50 wings, hot, mild and lemon pepper please. 20 minutes he says. I walk past all the madness now, wings in hand.
They are are delivered just as the mad crowd turned to burgers and brats. You're a life saver she says. I love you he says. Eat I says. Everything is gonna be alright, Wingstop, you're awesome.
I loooove this place. Puts all other wings to shame. The fries are amazing and the sauces are flavorful. Â Only bad thing is the blue cheese dip. Gives serious stomach aches! Go for the ranch! Â I wish there was more seating the place is a little cramped, but they have great to-go services. Â A million times better then Hooter's nasty napalm colored wings...ick!
Review Source:I'd really like to give them 4.5 but due to the circumstances, I'll round down just to be fair.
Firstly, their wings are amazing. I usually go for the Hickory Smoked BBQ or Original Hot and they tend to be consistently good although the Original can be a little too salty at times. The mild has absolutely no kick so I don't order them anymore. They're still good but I like regular wings a "little" spicy. The Teriyaki are too sweet for my taste but with a little ranch it all balances out. I've yet to try the Garlic Parmesan, Hawaiian, Cajun, or Lemon Pepper ones but in time I'll have them all conquered.
NEVER get the Atomic wings...unless you want to brave this intensely spicy ball of fire. Seriously, they burn going in and they burn coming out. I like to think that I have a high tolerance for spicy foods ( I do but my GERD doesn't) so I chose 5 of these little devils. As soon as I got home and opened the box, the smell made my nose itch and my stomach say "you better not"...I didn't listen and took a bite and it was like old cartoons when smoke comes out of your ears. Not pretty. So needless to say they destroyed every inch of my digestive system.
The ranch they have is probably the best ranch I've had. It's creamy and not watery like other dressing. The fries are my favorite. They have a hint of sweetness (maybe brown sugar?) and they're fairly cheap.
If you're getting wings for yourself I can see where people would call this place expensive but in reality they have great deals. We usually go for the 35 wings (add 5 more for $2) with the basket of fries, celery and carrot sticks, and two dips for $23.99 ($25.99 if you get the 5 extra). That's a steal. We end up getting the pound of ranch too but only because we love having some leftover. Sounds gross but try it and then judge me, damnit!
The ONLY reason they don't get the five stars is because the place is small and they lack seating for everyone. The wait time is also a bother but if you call ahead you get to go in / out and get those awesome sneers from people waiting in line. Shove it everyone! I'll be through gorging myself before you even have wings in hand.
This is the first one I had ever gone too a few years ago. They are okay for the price, but Hooters they are not.
When they first opened, the Manager treated us to a "Red Stripe" jamaican beer, and it was really good, thank you.
But alas I think the wait is too long and the place is too small. Not bad but just doesn't make it in the world of Wings. I mean the variety is okay but I like regular hot wings and not all fancied up, just me.
I love this place, the wings are awesome! They have enough sauces to keep me coming back but I wish they could expand a little bit more. Aside from the small parking lot and their ability to always misspell "Logan" I would recommend this place to others. My favorite sauce is Cajun while my girlfriend likes Lemon Pepper- which I think is less lemony than is could be and more greasy.
Just a tip, you need less bonless wings than you think you need.
Totally tasty - too expensive for me.
This is one of those places that when I brought home some wings to try I was blown away but for the price I can't afford to be buying them too often. I have to admit the garlic Parmesan is the one thats MOST worth mentioning and ordering it's probably the best flavored chicken wing I've ever had in my entire life. If I had the boneless ones I'd probably turn into a fat monster, but those are even more expensive. And the grease is obnoxious when you get them. However, please do try out wings at this place. They're open relatively late.
I must say I was a little disappointed from my visit at this location of Wing Stop. Â I was first introduced to Wing Stop in Urbana when I was in college and I loved their wings. Â I would have given them a 5. Â They came in close to Buffalo Joe's in my opinion. Â I was so excited to find out there was a Wing Stop in the Chicagoland area. Â However, when I went they overcooked my wings and so it was more crunchy (borderline burnt) then juicy. Â I realize I went during a busy time so I can't say that they would mess up every time. Â If you do decide to go, I highly recommend the lemon pepper wings. Â It's one of kind. Â I haven't found anything like it elsewhere. Â The hot and Cajun are pretty good too. Â Also, make sure to get the seasoned fries!
Review Source:I figured I'd write my first review on a place I already know and love. Â It's nice to start out on a 5-star positive note. Â Now... onto business.
I'm a wing connoisseur. Â They're my favorite food. Â I could eat them morning, noon and night. Â I've tried every kind of wing from every kind of place. Â I also expect I'll die from a massive coronary before I hit 40. Â
I've been a fan of Wingstop for years.  The chain is based out of  Dallas, Texas, and I've been a patron ever since they had just a few stores.  Yes, you heard right: they're a chain.  But they have the best wings of any place I've ever been (and have I mentioned?  I've been to quite a few).  That's all they do.  If you're going to eat wings, for the love of Pete, don't order them from a pizza place or somewhere that just has them as an appetizer.  Go to a place that specializes in them.  When I moved to Chicago last year, I was crushed to find there was no Wingstop near me.  I almost packed up and moved back to TX.  Then I learned about a location in Elmwood Park.  It's a journey for me, but I make the trek once a week.
I've been to probably two dozen Wingstop locations in 5 different states, and they're always consistently good. Â I'm a traditionalist, so always go for the Buffalo style ("Original Hot" = Heaven). But I've tried almost every flavor at one point or another and they've all been top notch. Â At this location, the staff is great (though I've never met a Wingstop staff member that wasn't). Â There's even a really nice guy named Nick (I think he may own this location) that makes a point of remembering your name after you've been in a couple times.
And the fries! Â Oh God! Â The fries! Â I haven't even gotten to that. Â It may require another review. Â I think the secret is they're laced with crack. Â I have friends that won't eat wings (heathens!) but will go just for the fries.
The ONLY thing that might be off-putting to some is the environment. Â The aerial motif (get it? Â "Wings?") aside, I'd put it more in the "sports bar" category- if the sports bar was very small and viewed serving beer as low on the priority list. Â It's not the kind of place were you can go and get comfy and enjoy a relaxed and leisurely meal. Â But I don't care. Â They're clearly focused on more important things: Â the wings.
This place is the best. They have better wings than Hooters, without the crowd. However, everytime I go here, I do order pick-up. It's the only way to do it. The store itself is extremely small.
The fries are incredible. They are unique and leave you wanting more.
Order the 4 boneless wings, and they give you 6 or 7.
Order the 7 boneless wings, and they give you 10 or 11.
And it's cheap!
Try these flavors: Original Hot, Terriyaki, Garlic Parmesan and Hot Garlic Parmesan. All are GREAT.
Don't bother going here. I've been here a few times lately (for pick up only) hoping that the last bad experience was just an anomaly.....while the wings are ok, the service sucks and for me, its not worth the attitude and the unprofessional manner of the staff. I can go elsewhere and get comparable food with much better service for about the same money. If I want to be ignored, I can stay home and be with my cats - and its free!
I do realize that food service isn't the end-all be-all for some but I've done it and could "fake" my way through the shift - its not really the customer's fault that I took this crappy job, at least that's how I see it. Eye contact isn't that difficult, people! Â Believe me, you can tear your eyes away from the tv for the 18 seconds it takes me to place my order - the television will still be there when I've left the counter! I promise!
I did branch out a little this last time and tried their potato salad, which, while still not "mom's" potato salad, was pretty good. But again, I'd forgo decent premade potato salad and get my wings elsewhere because of the inattentive, poor service.
I've dined in and had take out - both times the food was right on. Wings can be gross if not done right. This place does them right. Lots of choices of wing sauce, prices are good, they have excellent sides other than the typical celery and ranch/bleu cheese and they have beer. The service is great (they don't wait on your table, but they are speedy when you go up to the counter). They also gave me free beer refills. I don't think that's the norm but it made my visit extra nice.
Review Source:I love french fries and the ones here are pretty great. Â They have all these cool seasonings on them, a mix of salty, sweet and spicy and just finger-lickin' good. Â Wrong chain, I know. Â The wings are swell, I guess. But it's so much trouble to extricate wing meat from skin and bone. Â Just gimme the fries!
Review Source:Pretty good experience here.. I ordered over the phone and went to pick up, in about 20 minutes or so. Â Friendly and good prices for what you get. Â They give you lots of fries, I got two orders of fries, but should have gone w/ one because 2 was too much for 4 people.
I'm not a big fan of Wings, so I didn't enjoy them as much, but my sister loved them and thought they were really good.
that was 2 months ago and I think we got mild and original hot
