Cons...wish main portions were bigger and they had no coffee even when shown on menu.

Pros.....good food. Deep fried shrimp roll, potstickers, shrimp fried rice, mangolian beef, sweet sour chicken, and I think it's called happiness plate, were all delicious!!! Service was fast, enjoy the center lazy suzie, and complimentary hot tea. Great prices. Family atmosphere.

I came here with a group of friends for Dim Sum before the Chinese New Year parade. It was...well...below my expectations. The crazy part is that we were given a menu for approximately 4 minutes, expected to order and memorize the menu for the rest of the meal, although we had 10 people in our party, and we weren't sure how much dim sum was enough for everyone. The service was a little poor, but it is expected since it's Chinatown. But it literally took 20 minutes to get a drink, and everytime we ordered food, the server would just drop it off at the table without telling us what it was (and we told her a few of us have dietary restrictions so not everyone can eat everything). So we would have to wait and wait until she came back again to find out what it is we are eating.

On to the positive stuff! The dim sum was actually really delicious and seemed very fresh. The price is super reasonable for what we had. The dim sum is ordered through the check-off the paper way, versus the carts. This place is VERY great for large groups! And it was really cool to go to the oldest restaurant in Chinatown, to get that authentic feeling. Also, this place is right off the Chinatown red line stop, so it's easy access.

I think I may try to go to the other side of Chinatown next time, just to try the newer restaurants.

Hunger overtook me, and I just chose the first restaurant I laid my eyes on. Boy I wish I looked further down the street. The staff is actually very friendly and attentive, actually a bit much as she was clearing the plates a little too quickly moving things over on to other plates that I might not have chosen to add together. Dim sum is ordered from a sheet here where you can check of what you want in the quantity that you want. I have always liked the traditional style of the carts. We ordered items for a family style lunch in addition to dim sum items. The dim sum items were overcooked. All the steamed items were so soft that it was mushy to the touch and taste. The lunch food items were too salty for my taste. I think the chef is kind of heavy handed on that end. The prices were reasonable, but not for the quality of food for me. Overall, I felt really unhappy about having eaten here like I wasted space in my stomach for less than mediocre food. I guess it helped with not overeating.
