I met up with some friends and had dim sum brunch. The wait was about 5 minutes on a Saturday at 11:30ish. We were seated at a back table, and a cart came around almost immediately. We ate a ridiculous amount of food but the best were the xiao long bao, BBQ pork steam buns, and some shrimp/chive dumplings. I wish I had worn stretchier pants so I could continue eating.
Review Source:This is probably THE place to go to for Dim Sum. It is very authentic; the staff has carts of various dim sum items and you just choose anything that looks appealing to you. They are constantly walking around, so it never takes long to pick up an item. They make STRONG Mai Tais, so prepare yourself for a good time. The decor/vibe reminded me of Lost in Translation, although that was in Japan, but same cool style.
Since it was the Chinese New Year, a live "band" came in and started playing, and these human-formed Dragons went around dancing to the music and collecting red envelopes from all the tables (filled w money). Whenever they "ate" the red envelope, they would start going crazy and dance all around. SO. MUCH. FUN. Seriously. The Chinese New Year is definitely something everyone should experience at least once.
There are great bubble tea spots all around. Most of them are bubble tea plus bakeries, so if you need sugar, just step next door!
