I come in here fairly often. Â The service is always speedy and friendly. Â The dough is always perfect. Â They have the best white pizza, so I suggest giving that one a try; it's great. Â They offer other things like salads and garlic bread, as well. Â There's a television in the restaurant that often contributes to a casual, pleasant atmosphere. Â I really like this place and I hope they're around for a long time.
Review Source:I've been here twice and both times I enjoyed it. Â Wood fired pizza served piping hot with your selection of many toppings. Â The pizza is thin and the crust is doughy yet somehow crispy. Â I liked it even better the time the we went on a Wednesday and it was some deal- maybe half price? Â One star off for crazy parking lot situation and it is a little pricey, yet totally worth it.
Review Source:My friends and I came here back in March during a conference. We did not look it up on Yelp...it just so happened one of our friends was like "oh hey, this looks interesting, let's go here for dinner!" We wanted to find a place to eat that's affordable (we're grad students) and at the same time, we were exploring the area.
When we got there, Â we ordered 2 large pizzas (The White Pie and Margarita) and few of us had freshly tapped birch beer. It was a pleasant experience! The pizzas were delicious (nice thin crust with great toppings), my first time of having birch beer was awesome, and the staff was nice. I believe at that time, it was the owner who let me in to take a look at their awesome painting on the oven (which I took pictures of).
There are interesting furnitures to look at, such as this odd pull out table thing from the wall and the really cool looking cash register. Although the dining space is really small and not something that screams "classy", it is still a place to check out for their pizzas!
We got the $5 deal which includes 2 slices of cheese pizza (toppings available at extra charge) and a drink. The pizza's were okay but kinda soggy at the ends. I like pizza that doesn't flop over on me when I pick it up. Also, the inside is not clean - I couldn't find a table that didn't have crumbs and napkins all over it (they might be understaffed). The bathrooms were pretty gross too. I would give other pizza spots a try before returning.
Review Source:Came in to Wood Fired Pizza, enticed by the huge red sign on the road stating "2 Slices and a Drink for $5 Dollars." Hoping for a quick bite, I ordered 2 slices at the counter. It was the end of the day so the pizza slices looked pretty sad.
I ordered a slice with pineapple and a slice with bacon. The girl at the counter said they did not have pineapple anymore and that I had to select a pre-made slide already sitting on the counter. I said OK and got the pepperoni instead. I also picked up a can of soda to go with the 2 slices and a drink for $5.
Sat down, ate the pizza slices, which tasted extremely stale and old as it had been sitting out all day. The pepperoni piece was extremely burnt on the bottom from the oven....As a manager in the food service industry, I would never serve this to a paying customer.
When I went to pay, the girl at the counter charged me $12.25 for my 2 pieces of old pizza and a soda can. I was SHOCKED at this amount because a full pizza there would have cost around $20 - I paid more than half of that amount for 2 pre-made slices!
The girl said that only some cheese only slices for 2 for $5. I was so disgusted from the meal and the absurd price and paid before I left. I looked at the huge red sign outside again and it only stated SLICES, not specifying the cheese slices only. However, there was a tiny chalkboard sign next to this sign that stated "2 Cheese Slices and a drink for $4.99" ...... definitely 2 different signs.
Misadvertisement, and old stale pizza. Would never return to this place and being a frequent visitor of the Manchester village, will strongly encourage others not to waste their money on this place.
I would never had ordered a BBQ chicken pizza, but my sister did and I picked it up. IT WAS THE BEST PIZZA I have ever had. The adorable pizza cook was a Mom of 4 and she talked our ears off and gave my brother the 2 slices of pizza he ate during our chat for free. She single-handedly endeared me to the state or Vermont forever.
I am living in NY for a year and who would guess the best pizza I have ever had would be in Manchester Vermont.
Lets say you don't have time for pizza while you are there, I would actually order one, take it home and re-heat the next day. Especially the BBQ chicken pizza (even if you don't particularly like BBQ chicken pizza). Try it - I will make you want to move there.
PS there are picnic tables outside with stuff for little kids to play with. You will know you are in for a good pizza outside because you can smell the wood stove from the parking lot. Someone should franchise this place.
Great slice of pie in a relaxed atmosphere! Â There are just a few tables in the dining area. Â We opted for a late light lunch, as opposed to a full sit-down meal. Â This was the perfect antidote for that. Â 2 slices of pizza and 2 IBC root beers was $10! Â I had the margarita pizza which had some fragrant pesto including whole pinenuts. Â My friend had the pepperoni pizza and was not disappointed. Â The thin crust allowed the ingredients to be highlighted, which included a good red sauce.
Review Source:We stopped at this unassuming pizza place on Sunday while driving through Manchester. It seemed a lot of restaurants were not open for lunch that day, and we had a craving for a slice of pizza anyway.
We were the only customers there, but there were still 4-6 different pies available by the slice. For 3 slices and a root beer it was $10, not bad. The pizza was DELICIOUS. The crust was perfect, thin, but not paper thin. My husband and I are originally from NY, so we take our pizza seriously.
The man who waited on us, presumably the owner, was very friendly. I will say the place looks more like a locals hangout, as it is very casual and a little rough around the edges by Manchester standards, but that shouldn't stop you. I assume it would be very family-friendly, it had that kind of vibe. Also TV was on football, I'm sure some people out there appreciate that.
Overall, if you're looking for great pizza without the pretentious vibe, this is your spot. ;)
