Stopped in for a beer and maybe to feel out having one of those burgers Chuck B. was going on about.

First, at the time, the waitress was the only person working...and she took off to go outside and smoke.  So I stood at the bar for a while.  When she came back, I got myself a beer and headed towards a table.

I saw a guy come out of the kitchen and then go back in.  I finished my beer and looked around expectantly.  Twenty minutes had gone by and I got nothing...no check in, no ask if I wanted any food or apps, another drink, nothing.

I felt like this was not my place.  Har har.

I left and went to another establishment, with better service.  The beer was cold enough, and it was what I ordered.  The place looks large, with a lot of room for bands and acts and what not.  But...I don't really see hanging out here, myself.

Haven't been here for a while. Not sure why. It's a good lunch spot.

I popped in today to try one of their storied fresh ground, hand formed Hamburgers. I miscommunicated with my pretty and proficient server, Kim. I thought I was ordering a Bleu Cheese Burger (with real Bleu Cheese Crumbles). She thought I was ordering their lunch special Cheeseburger with Bleu Cheese Dressing.

No serious harm was done because what I got was an excellent Burger with Good Cheddar Cheese, Jalapenos, Onion, Lettuce and Tomato. (With Bleu Cheese Dressing :~D) This gem was built on a house-made Bun that was flat-top toasted and very good. I asked for crispy on the Fries and that's exactly what I got. They had Malt Vinegar. (Good for them)

Halfway through my meal, the owner stopped by my table, admired my Bob's 19 cent Hamburgers retro t-shirt and asked if I'd tried his proprietary Fry Sauce. I told him no, and shortly a cup arrived plate-side. It's tasty, Mayo based and has a mild spiciness to it. It's very good. But the long-gone Bob's Secret Sauce still holds the top spot in my heart.

My lunch today was a way-better-than-average Burger and Good crisp Crinkle Fries. Oh, and I should mention it was only $6!

Just to make it clear this place is a bar, no minors allowed. That said, they have pretty good burgers. I got the Western BBQ Burger with fries and it was as good as any restaurant burger. The only problem I had was the BBQ sauce was a bit thin so when I put it on my burger it just slid out the backside. The owner had introduced himself to us while we were eating and checked up on us. I talked to him about the thin BBQ sauce and he immediately went to the cook in the back and asked if they could thicken it so it wouldn't slide off. Will have to go back in a few weeks and check it out again. Definitely worth checking this place out.
