I am sure this restaurant is probably in its prime around lunch time when the soup is fresh. And we walked in around 8:30-9 PM at night. I don't blame them making fresh soup is chore. But honestly the soup did not look appetizing at all, it looked as if it had been there since lunch with soup crusties along the edges of the soup pans. I suppose my only recommendation is presentation...the soup did not dress to impress that night so Ms. F and I abstained from indulging in soup.

On a positive side, they do allow you to try before you buy like a Gelatto Stand--Which I really do appreciate because I have commitment issues when it comes to food.

So I will do my due diligence and return so I can give you actual feedback on whether it delights or dismays the palatte. Our friends seemingly enjoyed the chicken pot pie soup.

Nice samples of lots of different soups. Everything from seafood, to veggie. This is a go to during winter breaks when my son is home. It is nice to sample the different soups without committing to something new. The toasted tuna multi grain wrap was excellent. Found prices a little high. My son really enjoyed the vegetarian soups with the small multigrain rolls.

I am not sure if I am spoiled by my almost-daily samplings of Roger Hawkins' incredible soups from Circle City Soups, or if this place really is just super bland and icky.

I was up in Carmel for work, stuck in meetings till 2pm, and starving. I drove until I saw food - and Zoup was what I found.

I didn't sample lots of the soups like others said they did. I ordered immediately because I was starving. I got the 1/2 and 1/2 with half of a chicken caesar salad and half broccoli cheddar soup.

The soup was inedible. It had a strange aftertaste to it, was a weird consistency that was thicker than it should have been, and just plan didn't taste good. The only way that it was edible was when I dipped the dry french bread they handed to me in it. I ate maybe 1/3 of the cup of soup.

THe salad was OK....they didn't even mix the caesar dressing in with the salad, though! the croutons were hard to bite. The best part was the grilled chicken - it was decently moist and seasoned.

The worst part of all of this? my piddly, inedible meal was $9.50. I didn't even get a beverage or a cookie or anything. $9.50 for half of a blah salad and a cup of disgusting goo that they call "soup".  Sorry to be so harsh - it just plain wasn't good, and I can't believe how much money I spent on this lunch.

Like I said - I go to Circle City Soups most days that I haven't brought my lunch, and there, I can get a cup of soup, a slice of homemade Cindy Hawkins bread, and half of an incredibly salad for $6. so I was blown away by how much I spent on something that was gross.

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch.  Thankfully, it was late in the lunch rush so there was plenty of opportunity for me to try different soups and check out their salad/salad options.  I love that they let you sample as many as you'd like, and I chose a rich but not too heavy seafood bisque along with a 1/2 toscano chicken sandwich.  The soup was buttery and well-seasoned, with a strong fish flavor (in the good sense).  The protein itself was only present in lots of thin little filaments, and I would've preferred more fis chunks and morsels to bite into.  The sandwich was very good, moist and flavorful with a basil mayo, marinated red onions, red peppers and chicken.  Could've used more chicken, but there was still plenty of food between the sandwich and soup.  Took the hunk of bread home for a snack later.  WIll be back, and wish there was another closer to work (96th and Hague area).  Zoup franchisees, you listening?  Fishers needs you!

A little pricey but it is worth it. The lobster bisque and turkey were both outstanding... And fresh! Portion sizes were generous and staff as prompt and friendly! Bring it to Fishers!

I've had 2 bowls of their soup, Tomato Basil and Veggie Waves of Grain, which were decent but not super flavorful. I also once tasted a friend's Mushroom Bisque, which was completely fantastic, but sadly they have not had it either time I've actually been there. I wish I could give it 3.5 stars. I also tried one of the chocolate-chip cookies they have for sale, and it was sooo good. I don't think the cookies are supposed to be better than the soup, but I've probably been eating the wrong soups. I'll have to go back and try another kind, and maybe some salad too.

One thing I do find weird is the soup sampling they offer. I love sampling things (like ice cream) but the soup starts out so hot I would have to wait a few minutes, standing there awkwardly, in order to not burn my tongue painfully (as I did upon my first sampling). Other people must avoid this awkwardness somehow - I probably just have a super-sensitive tongue.

This place was delicious! The soup menu seems to change every day. I went here last week for lunch (had the split pea soup and tuna sandwich), and it was so good that I wanted it again later in the week. The second time, I had the lemon lentil, and it was okay. Still good, but that split pea was so so so delicious. I'm excited to try the other soups!

Yum yum yum yum yum! LOVE all the soups I've tried, and love that you get to try as many as you want before you decide. The owner is so nice and personable too - GREAT place, just need more locations in Indy! :)

Oh my goodness! I just about jumped for joy when I saw a Zoup had gone up very close to my work.

I was not let down. Just like I remembered from the Zoup in my college town, the Carmel Zoup had 12 amazingly delicious and tasty soups ready for me to sample. I couldn't quite remember my favorite, but the girl working the counter could not have been more friendly with me as I sampled four soups before deciding on Spicy Crab Chowder (like I said, CREATIVE!).

I paired my soup with the Farm salad. Yummy!

One thing I want to give Zoup props for is the ability to keep the calorie range very low. Though many of the soups contain words like "bisque" "cheese" etc. I was pressed to find any soup above 250 calories (and trust me I've seen other soups with similar names do major caloric damages).

Zoup is an amazing winter taste retreat! I will return again and again!!!!

I've been here a few times and usually get the chicken pot pie. Overall i'm pretty happy except for ONE major thing... Is it that hard to have the soup person wear gloves?? Really?! On multiple occasions I saw the lady dishing out samples wipe her hands on her jeans, rub her nose, and then give out samples all without wearing gloves. Please fix this.

So many soups to choose from, and every soup I sampled was unique and flavorful. The kind employees working the soup counter are happy to provide as many samples as you need to make your decision.

I settled on the lobster bisque because it seemed like the best bang for my buck.  It was so rich and full of lobster flavor.  I also had a half veggie wrap with hummus, and it was only slightly memorable.  I'll stick with the soup, served with a delicious roll, next time.

Quick service makes this a great place to grab lunch in the suburbs.

I was in a rush and popped in. I did not get soup but a vegi roll. It was not good. The roll was soggy .. the vegetables were not that fresh tasting and the dressing ran all over the place. The soup looked good maybe I will try that next time ...

I stopped in this new restaurant today with my partner, excited to try a new soup restaurant.  It was crisp and clean and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.  We each got a combination.  My choice was tuna salad on a multigrain wrap and the spicy black bean chili.  My partner got the chicken toscana on ciabatta with the chicken garlic soup.  The sandwiches were good, the hot tuna sandwich an interesting take on traditional tuna salad, the soups however were only adequate.

As a matter of fact between the both of us we must have tried 8 of the 12 soups for the day at the counter before we ordered.  We tried lobster bisque and pumpkin pie, and chicken pot pie and thai chicken among others and are decisions became difficult, because nothing wowed us.  Many seemed under spiced and  none seemed unique.  We were told they were made at a central location and shipped to each store daily.  Maybe this contributed to the somewhat bland nature of all that we sampled.  If you are looking for delicious flavorful soups I would recommend Cafe Zuppa downtown far more than this northside chain.

Yum! Zoup just opened and this was my first time here. First impression- Great! Delicious! Will definitely be back!
They do soups, salads and sandwiches and they do them well. Many places have jumped on this soups, salad and sandwich bandwagon, but what makes this place different is the soup. They have 100 different types of soup and rotate 12 of them each day. They have your typical soups like Tomato Bisque, Clam Chowder and Vegetable but they also have other creations like Pumpkin Pie Bisque and Chicken Potpie. A section of their front counter is dedicated to taste testing the soups. you can try one or all twelve of them before you order.
So back to my first trip there. My boyfriend and I stopped in about 7 o'clock tonight and the restaurant was bright and clean. The staff was warm and welcoming. We taste tested the Chicken Potpie soup and the Cheeseburger Royale. They have a "try two" option, which is what we both went with. We both ordered the Chicken Potpie and I had the Loco Burrito salad and Dan had the American Farm salad. Our salads were fresh and they didn't slack off on the toppings. Our soup was pipping hot and served with bread on the side. Both of us agreed that our meals were quite tasty.
Zoup is my new favorite place for soups and salads!
