One of my fave martini bars...this is the one you wanna take the mistress to, not the Mrs...unless of course you're into that role playing stuff...yep tell the wifey to put on a sexy trench and heels and meet you at the bar! Game on!!!

Wow, did I just open my review with a Cinemax After Dark scene!? Well that's that kind of place this is...dark, sexy and ready to get you liquored up and make you talk dirty! Especially if you order a drink from the "Women of Bond and Powers" list like the "Ivana Humpalot" or the "Dixie Normous" or the "Fook Mi-Fook Yu"...and oh yes, they make you say it...WARNING - do not try to point at the menu to get one of these drinks...they will act suddenly blind, they will lean in to hear you as you try to whisper your order or skip the vowels...they WILL make you say IT!

My favorite martini there is the Happy Nutz...tastes just like an Almond Joy Bar with a kick! A perfect Saturday evening is set-off by dining across the street at Cafe Mochi for their 1/2 price Sushi Happy Hour (starts at 4:30) and then skip right on over to the Goose for their Pure Decadence Happy Hour (4-7).

Love this place and all it's kinky glory!

Oh yeah, shout out to Samantha...she's the best! Super cool, gorgeous and shakes up a puts out a mean martini! *Martin Voice* ""You go Girl!!"

A great place to have drinks with friends. It's a nicer atmosphere, definitely more upscale bar feel. The drinks are pricey which fits with that. They do have some good specials nights, however. There drinks are very strong, which also helps to explain the prices.

There's great variety and the environment is nice.

Met a friend there on a Monday night and was surprised to walk into such an inviting atmosphere with a sprinkling of regulars already in their places, talking about everything from sports, to physics, to pets. Eclectic atmosphere and crowd ( what one would expect on the SOUTH SiiiiiiDE) Their awesome bartender (&cook/waitress/busgal) made our night with witty banter, hipping us to the $5 drink specials as soon as we sat down, and kick ass martinis all night. They have every martini you could think of...and a few more. Monday nights at Absolutli Goosed- Absolutely good.

Just okay. If you need a place to come and get a fancy cocktail then this is your place. Do not expect great service, but if you are coming in for one drink and then moving on this would be a good place to start.

Great place to drink with friends on South Grand! Certainly not for the light of wallet patrons, because it's very pricey, but the drinks have always impressed me. Last night, they had a special "pumpkin spice martini" and WHOA, it was well worth the $7 charge. Very heavy alcohol that got my head spinning after a few, but delicious and with whipped cream on top. Also had the edamame appetizer, and they give you more than enough to share (even though you may not want to).

They have a ton of martini options, from sweet to sour to salty to dry, and everything I've ever had there has been expertly concocted. It's never too loud inside, even if the place is full, and the bartenders are always very welcoming and never overbearing (they understand if you only want to sip a drink and chat with your friends).

Love this place and would go there again in a heartbeat!

Clearly, Absoluteli Goosed was not designed with me in mind. We tried out the bar a few months back when a friend of ours had a gift certificate. Back then, I wasn't particularly a fan. On Friday night, we were summoned to AG for a night of pricey drinks and poor service.

For the thrifty patron who has a budget and likes value, AG is not the place to go. However, I was impressed with the bucket deal that they were offering on a Friday night. They had $12 buckets of AB products, which was very surprising. However, we more than made up for it with the martinis. I bought a round of Buds and one specialty cocktail, and we still spent over $22 before tip! Okay. So one cocktail is worth almost one bucket of six beer?! Needless to day, I was very displeased with the tab.

Bill aside, the true issue was with the service. We had a group of eight and spent nearly two hours there. I had no idea who our server was. The bartender came over a few times to check on us, and my wife kept saying that she wasn't our waitress. Apparently, our waitress was standing around most of the time. I'm sorry, but this table is potentially a $20-$40 tip table (I know my friends. They're not cheap). Where on earth is our waitress? Also, the place was not even moderately busy. The bartender brought me my tab, and I walked it back to her a half hour later.

And could they put a TV somewhere? I realize that AG is meant to be upscale and trendy, but I assume that they could afford one freakin' flatscreen. I went in during the Cardinals game and had to keep checking my phone for the score, which I had plenty of time to do while waiting for someone to take my debit card.

Fun go to place on S. Grand - crowd is always fun mix of casual & electric, plus you'll see allot of familiar faces if you go stop in on any sort of regular basis.

The drink menu itself, is hysterical with many umm (racy let's say) named martini's. There is definitely something here for everyone and if a martini isn't your style, they have a selection of beer as well.

Fav. bartender Sam, is always a riot, makes you feel right at home and is great @ coming up with all sorts of concoctions to get you 1/2 way to three-sheets-to-the wind-ville!

Thursday happens to be one of my favorite days for specials, because it's $5 Bloody Mary, Long Island Iced Tea (not made with a mix) & Margarita's. I can't get enough of the "Nothin' But Heat Mary" made with Sriracha & habenero stuffed olives, so give this one a try if you like the spicy stuff, plus at $5, it's a steal!!

There are a few tables out front an an entire side patio for enjoyment when the weather's nice.

Check this place out for sure!

Went here on a Friday evening with the "girls". It is a great place to have a drink with the girls for some talk time and great drinks.

We had the hummus, veggies, & pita bread, garlic bread & marinara sauce, and chips & salsa with our drinks. They were all great tasting appetizers.

I wish I remembered what I had because it was great. Believe it or not, I just could not remember because I was side tracked by the waitresses question on whether I wanted my martini thick or liquidy...that was just weird but I understood why. I remember it tasting like a lollipop, pink, liquidy, and tasted better cold...meaning don't let it sit or you will take the alcohol.

We sat outside on "the patio" which is on the side of the building. It's dimly lit and gated.

Service was great. She was attentive and personable. She was able to give suggest drinks when we asked.

The interior is nice...dimly lit and clean. Because it was a nice night (considering it is August) most were sitting outside on the patio.

Oh beware of the menu...it can be intimidating because of the numerous drinks. Ask the waitress for help otherwise you may not find a drink.

Perfect martinis can be found at the corner of Grand and Wyoming. Done. Absoluti Goosed has been a fav of mine for years and with a list of martinis that rivals, well, my ability to drink them. The Women of Bond selections are delightful or keep it simple with a dirty martini. Prices are reasonable, service is quick and there is indoor and outdoor seating. Bottoms up, people!

I'm not sure if we were here on an off night, or if it was just not my scene, but this bar did not wow me.

I came on a Thursday night with five friends, and luckily there were a couple tables that opened up just as we walked in. After we sat down a waitress came over promptly and helped us figure out that crazy extensive menu. We had a variety of drinks, including some fancy martinis and bloody marys, all of which were good, but not life changing. Actually, that's pretty much my entire impression of this bar. I would come back if I were near by, I would probably enjoy myself, but I would never go out of my way to come back. The definition of a three star review!

These martinis will get you feeling Loosey Goosey, that's no lie!
When we came here for a big event I was ecstatic-- one of those places on my list that I hadn't quite gotten around to. Inside is close quarters but not overly crammed. All in all, you're here for the martini menu and to socialize, so it's just the right amount of space for chatting up your pals.
I had two drinks: The P Panther and the Sassy Apple Martinis. The Sassy Apple was Super Sour, which I didn't mind, but after tasting the P Panther--it was a done deal. That was one terrific martini. They are strong and you get a bang for your buck. The bartenders here definitely know what they are doing and they stay calm, collected, and cheerful even when there's upwards of sixty people vying for their drink wielding attention.
The little patio next to the venue is adorable and nice for those midsummer nights (especially when there's a DJ!) This place is a great time and has some seriously satisfying selections!

This place rocks! After the Yelp event on Monday, I decided to go back here to try some drinks without the crazy crowd.

So I went to Cafe Mochi for dinner and then after that decided to hit up Absolutli Goosed. It was a Tuesday evening, around 5pm or so. The whole place was dead! (And yes, returning the day after the Yelp event....I am sooo cool, aren't I? :P) I was the only person in the entire bar. lol. But the bartender, Samantha, made me feel welcome!

I tried the Pussy Galore drink which was so tasty! Whipped cream along the rim and white chocolate and raspberry in the drink. Unfff. Then I followed up with a Pink Panther (I am guessing they call it P Panther now because of copyright issues??) and it was as good as I remembered from the night before.

Samantha was fun to talk with and she was super sweet and great at making drinks. I commended her speedy skills the night prior when the bar was swamped with eager Yelpers.

I would definitely return to Goosed, but probably with people who actually drink, so as not to make Sean uncomfortable/bored.

I've been to this fun spot a few times. Though the speed dating events I attended here weren't successful in getting me an awesome man, I found a great venue! Winning.

When Aimee set-up the Yelp Drinks week kick-off party here, I was thrilled... until I found out the size of the event. 80 people in the small establishment? Yikes! Absolutli Goosed is a lot of things, but large isn't one of them. Goosed generously allowed us all to choose two drinks off of the "Goosed Fan Favorites" list, and I was completely impressed with most of the drinks. I sampled the Bugs Bunny in Drag, Blue Ocean, Bitch'n Mona, and the Staci's Tea. I ordered the Banana Hammock, Pink Panther, and the Peachy Keen. I wasn't so much a fan of the Banana Hammock... the banana was almost too subtle... It tasted a little too much of cream and cinnamon/nutmeg. It was a little boring for me. The Pink Panther tasted like a delightful glass of adult Red Vines. It was sweet and girly and fun. The Peachy Keen tasted like a super sweet peach with a chocolate infusion. I loved it so much, that I had two. On a Monday night, 4 martini's is too much, but I had such a great time and couldn't resist. What a fun night out. I can't wait to get back for more.

YUMMY Drinking!

This was my first experience not only being in a martini bar, but also a first martini. I was surprised at how many different ones there were to choose from, I was always under the impression that Martini's were bland social sipping drinks, boy was I proved wrong with this excursion.

My choice of a Martini (yes I only had one) was called Caramel Apple, it had vodka and apple sour schnapps, and a caramel rim on the glass. omg was it delicious! I sampled tastes of friends choices, there was a mango strawberry one, one called a Sassy Apple, a BB in drag (bugs bunny) Bitch & Mona, and one really delicious one called Stacy's Tea which I believe I will be having one of those the next time I return to this fin establishment.

The Bar has been around for quite a while, however the previous owners earned it a bad reputation for a short while before it was closed and reopened. since then all I have heard about it rave reviews, and after spending a couple of hours there I am now convinced I too am a fan!

The bartenders were super nice, and the wait times on the drinks was minimal even considering the large crowd that was in attendance. don't worry, if your not a martini fan there are other delicious concoctions available, and they also have a full regular bar with soda beer and liquor, but really, why would you have an ordinary drink when you can have something fantastic... Do yourself a favor and check out Absolutli Goosed you will be so glad you did..

Love, love, love this bar! No shortage of excellent beverages. These are not your typical bar martinis. From the flavors of each drink to their names, the menu is superbly thought out. Bartender, staff and guests are all friendly. Highly recommend for girls night out!

What an Absolutli great night I had while visiting. I arrived and found rock-star parking right out front! Score! When I entered the bar I was kindly greeted by not only the bartender(s) but by the patrons well! I automatically fell in love with this place and the atmosphere was just what I was looking for!

I had to look over the menu to see what I actually wanted to drink. I love martinis and enjoy trying new items. I finally decided on the banana chocolate martini (of course)! It was dark, rich, and delicious! When my friend and I sat at the table I was able to check-in and I redeemed the Check-In offer "Free Chips and Salsa". Score, again! What a great night this has turned into.

We had some great conversation at our table and the best part was that as other customers were passing by they said "hello" and even complimented our table for being "beautiful"; YES that was just what I needed to hear. I made friends (well sort of) with the table next to us and inquired about the "pink" drink the girl had...it was something with coconut milk...YUM! I went to order that drink as my second of the night. Again, the bartender was awesome and made it just right. Of course, I began to chat with some of the other bar customers and they recommended I try the margaritas next...ummmm I'm at a martini bar, but I guess I can try one later.

I went back to the table and passed around my pink drink, it was approved by all members of the table. It also went down pretty quickly and so I was in need of my last and final drink of the night; I decided to try the strawberry-banana martini! It was perfect and just what I needed! I know where to go when I need a margarita!

Towards the end of the night and end of the conversation I was ready to get my tab...and because this was a Wednesday night I was able to receive 10% off for being an educator! WINNING! I love deals. First I got free chips and then I got another 10% off! I will be back again.

This is a great bar on South Grand and not only are the bartenders awesome, the other "regulars" are as well. I felt like I belonged there.

Long, long ago, in a galaxy far, far away, Absolutli Goosed used to be THE gay hotspot on South Grand. Being a gay, I like to frequent establishments that correspond with my "lifestyle" choices. So when I first visited AG a few months ago, and saw tables full of loud, straight suburbanite couples splayed out in their Cardinal gear and stretchy denim, my heart did a little dip. C'mon, folks. Can't you go over to Hotshots or something?

However, having a decent bar within minutes of my house that's not full of hipsters swilling PBR out of cans is hard to find. So Goosed is my cocktail place of choice. The service is outstanding. The drinks, while a little on the sweet side, are icy cold and decently priced. And if you don't want a "fancy" drink, for God's sake, man up and order a bourbon neat or a plain ol' martini.

Update: apparently the gays come out in the warmer months, because the patio is crowded with both fabulousness and sensible shoes.

I broke my Absolutli Goosed cherry tonight. It only took 4+ years!

Years ago, when I would visit one of my best friends in St. Louis (she has since moved away), we would come out of Pho Grand, and she would always invariably be like, "We have to go to Absolutli Goosed. I hear it's really good." And this is a girl who takes Coke shots when we go out. But alas, we never went because we always were headed to somewhere else.

But Mandie M. had the bright idea of having a girls' night here, and I totally jumped at the idea. And it was fabulous. Although I didn't order a drink myself (I know, I know...but I was still feeling the effects of ITap), I tried all of their drinks...and yes, it was good.

I think I like the drinks because they are strong...but they don't taste slimy, as alcoholic drinks can taste if you're not mixing them right. The drinks are all unique and creative. The girls ordered a wide spectrum of drinks, so I got to try everything from the fruity spectrum to the creamy spectrum to the chocolate spectrum. My favorite on the menu was pretty much the pink coconut cosmo, which is coconut rum, triple sec, white grape juice, cranberry juice, and cream. I'm writing it all out because one day I hope to replicate it at home...but it's also so I can remember to order it next time I'm here. Also, Sam made Mandie this incredible strawberry-banana margarita...THAT's what I'm also going to order too...yep, this girl is going to be double-fisting it.

Service is very friendly, and all the customers were really friendly too...it has such a great vibe to the place! And I love how every day they have specials, especially with Martini Mondays, 911 Tuesdays, Rita Thursdays, Cosmic Fridays, and Pure Decadence Saturdays. It makes the pretty reasonable prices just even more reasonable. And appetizers are 1/2 off from 4-7. How much better can that get? OH...well, it does...because the girls, once they checked in...got us free chips and salsa! They were really good too!

Only reviewing on drinks and service.
For the price of the drinks, I expected a little more alcohol in them. I forgot what I had, but it was still good. A little on the sweet side. I like strong drinks (my personal preference). :) However, one of the bartenders was really nice. There weren't that many people there, and I am the type that enjoys a smaller crowd. Let's you chit-chat with everyone in there.
And if I ever have a Wednesday off, I'll be there Tuesday night to get my 20% discount for being a nurse. That's awesome.
I'll be back again.

WARNING: Do not come here hungry! However, the martini's are pretty good.

Our group made the mistake of coming here without looking up the menu online. When we arrived hoping to order food, we found that they have a very limited appetizer menu and that's it. The spinach and artichoke dip was amazing, but unfortunately our group of 5 had every app on the menu and 1 drink a piece and had to leave because we were in search of a real dinner.

Despite our coming before and not after dinner mistake, the martini's here are pretty tasty. I will say I would like to make a trip back to taste more of them. My only complaint about the drinks is that they are all very fruity and sugary. I like to taste the vodka in my martini and there was no chance of that happening here without ordering a double (which would probably ruin their concoction) or just getting a plain old fashioned martini. I even asked the bartender which selections had a stronger taste, but the one she suggested was still too sweet. Maybe I am just too picky, but I was just not that impressed.

Some good news is that they have alternate liquor selections besides vodka. They make margaritas, bloody mary's etc. My date had a spicy bloody mary (I forget the specific name) and he LOVED it. Also, be sure to check their website for specials as we arrived on a Tuesday night and they had a special for emergency responders which included nurses! YAY for getting 20% off my tab!

I really wanted to like Absolutli Goosed, so I will probably come back with friends for a girls night and give them another shot. The place also smelled like sewage that night so we sat at a table outside. Maybe it was just a bad night...

Love Goosed! Their drink menu is huge! Makes it pretty difficult to choose, but also provides something for everyone, which is great.

It can get pretty noisy inside, but it's a bar, so what do you expect? It can make ordering a bit tricky sometimes, but the delicious drinks make up for it. Aside from that, the atmosphere is cool and it's just a great place to hang and sip some 'tinis!

This is the best bar on South Grand. It's casual, but upscale for South Grand. If you insist on tasting only sugar and not alcohol when you drink alcohol, their menu will give you a tiny orgasm. If you are a cheap bastard like me, your bill will give you a tiny heart attack, but whatever. You can get a PBR anywhere, and that's what the rest of the bars on South Grand are for.

I always have fun when we come here. Really good people, comfortable, great service, and honestly, I'm embarrassed to admit it, but their freaking martinis/cosmos are good. If you ever see me drinking one of these, please just shoot me right then and there, though.

I'm still waiting to get absolutely goosed here. Instead of turning into an episode of "Sex and the City" my night usually turns into an episode of "I Live Alone with My Cat and the City".

Brad and I meet up with Mary Kate A here for a Martini and gab session. I was pleased to see this place is still amazing after all these years. It is a small charming neighborhood bar that serves a quality Martini or Cosmopolitan. I am sure they offer typical bar drinks, but i don't know why you'd order them when the Martini's are creative, go down oh so well and are reasonably priced.

I think this is the great place to go with friend(s) to to relax and have a quality "cocktail". Our bartender was charming, cute and attentive to our alcoholic needs. I'll be back.

How I ended up at Absolutli Goosed on a Monday night:

Christine F.: STEPH WHAT ARE YOU UP TO I WANNA HANG OUT
Me: LET'S DO SOMETHING NAOOOO

Yeah, we're 12.

Anyway, Christine suggested hitting up Absolutli Goosed for some drinks and catching up, and I agreed. Obviously.

We arrived around 8:30 on a Monday night, and other than a handful of others at the bar, it was pretty quiet. The place itself is super cute. Lots of high top tables and plenty of seating at the bar.

Our waitress was super friendly and was patient as I pored over the menu.

I eventually settled with the 'Happy Nutz' martini, which had coconut rum, some sort of hazelnut liqueur, and I'm sure a few other things. Oh, and it had whipped cream. I love whipped cream, and I'm pretty sure that's what sold me on the drink.

It was delicious, and it went down so easily! I had a sip of Christine's chocolate martini, and that was tasty as well. SO much better than Bailey's Chocolate Bar's attempt at a Chocolate Martini.

We munched on some edamame (yum) and spinach and artichoke dip (yum) as well.

Next, I decided to be adventurous and try a 'real' martini. While I've had plenty of fruity/chocolately martinis, I've never had an authentic one, and what better place to give it a try than at Absolutli Goosed? The waitress explained the different varieties (dry, sweet, etc.) and gave a mini lesson on dry vermouth that totally confused me, but it was interesting nonetheless. I went with a dirty martini using Blue Sapphire Gin and chose an anchovy stuffed olive as my garnish. Gahhh I love anchovies and olives.

Well...the olives were good, but I don't think dirty martinis are my thing. I had a few sips before I gave up. At least I tried!

I could definitely see myself coming back to Absolutli Goosed. There were so many other delicious sounding martinis that I want to try!

I'll just stay away from the 'real' ones in the future.

Hello Martini!

Wednesday was my Birthday and it had to start off with a cocktail or two or three. The hubby and I use to frequent this place a lot when we were dating, it's a great low key place with awesome martini's. The names of some of the martini's are enough to break the ice especially on a first date =)

We had a dinner reservation was for later in the evening so we took full advantage of their half priced happy hour app's from 4-7pm. The hummus platter was $4 and was a nice sized portion, not too big and not too small...just enough to tied us over till dinner.

The martinis here are exceptional! Their happy hour specials have changed a bit since we were last in and the Wednesday special was faculty night, 20% off for teachers, professors, etc, so no happy hour drinks specials for me. But that didn't stop me from ordering more than one.

I started with the Peachy Keen, think chocolate covered peaches and cranberries. A mix of Cranberri Vodka, peach Schnapps and White Creme de Cacao served in a chocolate rimmed glass. So sweet and smooth! My second martini was their Dixie Normous. Try ordering that without blushing! A creamy chocolate and banana liquor treat. It is seriously one I could slam like a milkshake. My final martini was their Coffee and Doughnuts. A caramel-y coffee cocktail rimmed with caramel sauce. Another sweet treat. I almost had to be carried out to dinner.

I love this place. I have never order a martini I didn't like, but I love martini's a lot...so I think that makes me bias, especially when under the influence of one or two or three.

Another fabulous evening at Goosed! A couple of friends, my husband, and myself ventured here on Saturday night hoping to catch up on the fun while the Travel Channel was filming for a Best of episode. I love Goosed, and I love the Travel Channel - what else is a girl to do?

Through my own ordering and sipping off my friends' drinks, I had the opportunity to try many a martini - Ultimate Chocolate (OMG!), French Cosmo, Coffee and Doughnuts, Robin Swallows, Dixie Normous, Cream Moose, Sassy Apple, Strawberry Mango Delight, some sort of berry Gimlet, among others that I just can't remember. Goosed is consistently fantastic. I haven't had a bad martini there. Sure, there are some I like more - to each his own - but knowing we all have our different choices in martinis, they are fab!

Though service seemed a little lax, I chalk it up to a little insanity due to the Travel Channel taping. I've been there enough to know that their service is always top notch.

And they are part of the Saint Louis Originals program. Sweet!

We stopped in here Saturday night about 7:30 after dinner. If there was ever something that made me feel old, it was being the only two people in a bar at 7:30 on a Saturday. All the old jokes aside, we took a seat at the bar and started looking at the extensive drink menu.

After about five minutes I came to the conclusion that there was no way I was going to be able to make a decision on something from the menu. It was a sensory overload, of the truly good kind. In the end I passed on one of the many delicious sounding cocktails and went with a Manhattan.

About an hour later when we were settling our tab, there were about a dozen people in the place which helped to make me not feel soo old. If we come back I will be more adventurous and try something off the menu.

Every time I go here, I always find myself getting into trouble. Not the bad kind of trouble, but "a great night where I didn't bust my wallet but still got the job done" type of trouble. Honestly one of my favorite martini bars next to Bailey's Chocolate Bar.... but on a different level.

Their prices are not steep, and they make their drinks strong, but not overdone. The service is prompt, knowledgeable, and honestly down right know how to fix a great martini. A few of my girlfriends and I will go here after work to enjoy the happy hour. Oh... and it is HAPPY! Their food isn't bad either. It is a wide variety of different things.

On occasion if you are looking for love, they host a speed dating event here almost weekly through. Date n Dash. My girls and I came to that one time for the giggles. It was a fun experience. The martinis made it better. lol

The scene is catering to all sorts. Straight? Gay? Who cares! This is perfect for all! This is definitely the 'Sex and the City' version of St. Louis.

This place makes the perfect nightcap for a night out on South Grand. While South Grand has been one of my faves for a while, it usually was a spot to have dinner then head off to Morganford or Downtown or whereever. Now that I've been here twice, I can say that this is a great place to hangout - but it is not cheap.

While I am not a huge martini drinker, I do have a particular fondness for chocolate martinis. And there is another place in town that I am pretty crazy about that specializes in them. But after having both the regular Chocolate Martini and Amarula Mudslide, I think I prefer the ones here. And that's some high praise. I capped the night with a "Banana Hammock" and that was pretty damn good as well, if a bit girly.

They have some snacks to munch on as well but this is not a restaurant. No problemo when you have like 20 restaurants in a 5 blocl radius. Our waitress on this particular evening was super helpful and had loads of good suggestions. It was a bit dead when we first arrived but even after it picked up and she was handling several tables, she did a good job keeping up with us (we can drink fast once we get going).

The downside here is that it is pricey. It cost more than dinner...and by more than a few dollars. I am not complaining though, they use top ingredients and take their time on each drink. And this isn't a "let's-get-a-bucket-of-cheap-beer-and-watch-UFC-fights" type of place. It has a touch of sophistication that lends itself to higher prices. I am willing to pay more for better drinks and whatnot, but not enough to come here regularly. But don't let my personal cheapness dissaude you. It's also important to keep in mind that some of the nice restaurants on South Grand are actually kind of inexpensive, especially the Vietnamese places.

So come here to cap off a great night or if you're craving some tasty concoctions. There are a few other places I'd like to try and see how they compare. But for now, I would say Absolutli Goosed has some of the best drinks in the city.

Straight up martini bar with twist on Thursday serving $5 pick your flavor (i.e. raspberry) Long Islands (I got girlie drink drunk with a MMA punch http://www.youtube.com/w…), "ToKillYa" Margaritas & Bloody Mary's...

This place is a drinking playground. They have a ton of different vodkas, and very interesting and provocatively named martinis. They also have a bunch of different garnish options. And don't forget about the crazy Bloody Mary options.

Service is fast and friendly. The place is small, so tables sometimes are at a premium.

Tip... Pho Grand is across the street... and Gelataria de Leone is also at the same corner. Park close and make it a night between these three great establishments.

If you like chocolate martinis, order the Halle Berry. Stoli Strasberi, White Crème de Cacao, with 2 Hershey's Kisses. Basically a lot of boozy goodness with candy! Wow!

That and the Caramello were exactly what I needed last night. I want to make Absolutli Goosed my new Thursday night drinking spot!

They had $5 margaritas, Bloody Mary's, and Long Island Iced Teas tonight. I'm not sure why (oh wait, I checked their website, it's Thursday). So the beautiful wife and the most of the post-Meskerem crowd indulged.

Started off with the "Nothing But Heat" Bloody Mary -- had a nice heat to it, but wasn't as asskicking at Lola's. Still, this was a good drink.

Moved on to the "Simply the Best" margarita. Was it the best? Well, maybe not, but it still packed a punch.

Actually, a punch is an understatement. They pour them nice and strong here. Be careful.

I popped in to Absolutli Goosed with a few friends for a couple drinks the other night before heading to dinner. They had a pretty sweet happy hour going on at the time, so I started with a Long Island.

The decor and feel of the bar is pretty average. Nothing really sets it apart from other mediocre bars in that department.

When it came time for seconds, I remembered hearing rumblings of a Pumpkin Pie Martini, but I decided to try something a little adventurous. The waitress was promoting the new Absolut Bacon Vodka that had recently come out. They had a Bacon Bloody Mary on the list, and though she said it was "different," I didn't think I knew what I was getting into.

The night took a turn for the worse after the first sip hit my lips. "This is friggin' BACON!" I remember saying. Of course it was...right? Well it wasn't your mom's bacon that she used to make on Sunday mornings as the family gathered around the table for pancakes and juice. This was greasy Waffle House bacon you eat at 2AM when your taste buds have retired for the night. I think at one point during the course of this drink I asked for a chaser of scrambled eggs, which may have helped the overwhelming 'baconyness' (not a word).

I finished it because, well I paid for it, thats why. I wasn't happy, and neither was my stomach for the rest of the night. All in all, an average bar who is ballsy enough to serve a drink like that gets an A-OK in my book.

Three words...pumpkin pie martini. So good. Want to marry it.

Thanks to the Yelp app we decided to try this place out. If the name alone didn't get us, the red walls with black furniture surely did. We tried the hummus plate and it good. It came with warm pita bread and sliced cucumbers. The bartender wasn't the friendliest, but she kept the drinks coming, and that's all I can really ask for. I also tried the chocolate covered cherry martini and the three musketeers one. The pumpkin pie one is my favorite and it was the most costly one, of course, at $8.50 a piece. The place was pretty dead around 5pm on a Saturday, but was picking up when we left around 6. I wish we would have had more time to hang out, although my wallet thanked me for leaving after three drinks.

I have no problem paying for drinks. Balvenie Double-Wood at $25 a pop? Ring it up, that shit is delicious. Needless to say, I was excited about going to AG, because I heard that it served amazing drinks, and lately I've been getting tired of the basic gin & tonic joints I normally frequent. However, I was fairly unimpressed.

AG's prices, for almost everything, is beyond reasonable. $7 for a martini? Bless you St. Louis for your low standard of living. However, $9 for a perfect margarita? Its served in a small martini glass that can accommodate maybe 12 ounces; however, its served on the rocks, making the actual liquid content to be around 8-9 ounces. I know it sounds ridiculous to quibble over such things, however I refuse to overlook such ridiculousness. Charge me $9 for a 8 ounce margarita in the Shinjuku district? Sounds right to me, because they know what they're doing.

Its billed on the menu as the "perfect" margarita, yet they use sweet and sour mix. I believe that making drinks--a mixologist, not a bartender--is arguably as complicated as being a cook. When done correctly, a mixologist can make drinks that rise to an art form. A mixologist knows that a real margarita never comes in contact with sweet and sour, but only fresh squeezed lime juice. Had it been served like that, I would gladly pay $9. Fuck it, I've paid $14 for one.

In total, I tried six drinks (between the lady friend and myself), and they were, for the most part, all underwhelming. The coffee and doughnuts, and the almond joy were decent, if not a tad rich, but other then that, everything else tasted like a glorified shot.

I'll probably come back here because, at the least, its a change of pace from my usual haunts, and our server, Brock, was very nice and willing to help with information and suggestions. However, when I return, I will be drinking gin & tonics instead of AG's "martinis."

Oh, and don't get me started on the fact that a "proper" martini is vodka-based.

Fantastic. I finally made it in here for the first time this week. I was drawn by Martini Mondays, when all drinks served in martini or cosmo glasses are $5, regardless of brand. Anywhere there's a bargain bin evening, I'll be there.

Great drinks, though! This bartender knows a dirty martini. Their bleu cheese stuffed olives are sensational. I'll be back.

Any alcoholic drink aficionado would always have the martini in their list of drinks that they can fall back onto when they want something with that extra little kick. Absolutli Goosed offers more than just a list but a reservoir of martinis, with a whole section devoted to Bond girls. The appeal of this place, besides the fact that you're able to order a drink with the name Pussy Galore, is the price of the drinks, nice and cheap, but that has not taken away anything from the taste atmosphere.

Located on in a popular area, Absolutli Goosed is a great place to walk to after dinner for that night cap, or a place to get started.

If you've spent any time with me, you'll learn that Iiiii LOVE cocktails, especially in fun colors served in martini glasses. I think this goes back to my days as a young 'un, dreaming of all the fun and sophisticated times that awaited me as a grown-up. So I love any place with a menu bigger than most restaurants offer, filled with pages and pages of cocktails, including one whole page devoted to drinks named after Bond girls.

These are strong cocktails, as I've discovered after happily swilling too quickly, so you definitely get your money's worth! I've been here when it's packed, and been here occupying one of the only tables, and I generally have had a good time regardless. They really respect fire codes, which can be annoying when you want to squeeze in for a cocktail and the doorman insists you wait for people to clear out, but I guess following the law isn't something I should deduct points for.

All in all, my favorite cocktails in the city.

What a great drink menu. It is dizzying. dizzying I say. I always enjoyed this place. I mean where else can you go and be outnumbered by women six to one....what? really? all of them....most of them? well okay...nevermind that last statement. Its still a great place-- and if you are waiting for a table at pho grand you can have a drink at the goosed and I am 97.2% certain that when your table is ready the pager will work.
4 stars because the doorman was a jerk a few times.
