Went here for some after drinks after a scrumptious dinner a few blocks down at El Bronco. Â The atmosphere is very chill and yes, there is a fortune teller on duty. Heard that they had a great beer selection and wanted to give it a try. Honestly, the beer selection was OK but holy cocktail menu!! Â I wish I would have looked at that first before ordering a tap beer. They had so many interesting concoctions that I couldn't wait to chug down my beer and order one.
Unfortunately, there was a tornado nearby which foiled my plan. We were about finished with our drinks when the bartender got up on the bar to make an announcement "The sirens are going off and there is a tornado headed this way. We have a bathroom in the back and a small basement area for shelter." Â Being the claustrophobic, tornado-fearing person that I am I said "Let's get the hell out of here and go home." Luckily we live very close by because if the tornado was gonna kill me, I wanted to die at home with my dog. If you can't tell, I don't do well with severe weather. It freaks me out.
Anyways, our trip to Fortune Teller got cut short but we will return to try a yummy cocktail. I will just have to check the weather radar beforehand.

I love this place. The decor is all dark wood and taxidermy, with a fortune teller in the front window on most nights. It's got a great ambiance that can't be created artificially; the combination of location, service, and kitsch make it something super-rad.
