Frances G and I meet up at Amerigo to talk shop and eat sandwiches and it was great. Lunch sandwiches are all $7.50, a great deal methinks, and here's why...

The sandos are sizeable. They come with homemade chips. They have lots of love and care in them (and in their ingredients.) Even house mayo, folks! They are served in a cute environment by friendly folks. And they come out fast.

There is also a noodle soup you can order in a cup (it's in an actual coffee cup by the way) or bowl (or just get a half sandwich with a cup of the stuff.) And a nice beverage selection including beer, wine, and blood orange San Pellegrino.

The dinner menu looked equally enticing and I plan on heading back to check it out sometime soon!

What a great find! The homemade ricotta and mozzarella are amazing. We felt so at home. The wait staff were attentive without being annoying. Loved the house chianti. Tres chocolate dessert was small but perfect for 2 as it is rich! Parked right in front on the street. Will definitely go again!

LOVED IT! I had the gnocci and donut sundae while my friend had the tortellini and bread pudding. Everything was delicious. Service was excellent! Our glasses were always full of water. I do recommend reservations since the place isn't that large. It is a cute place for sure. Also make note that it is closed on Sundays and Mondays. I can't wait to go back!

I simply adore discovering restaurants like this one! My girlfriend and I went there for dinner without a recommendation, besides yelp reviews, because we were looking for a spot near The Laundry theater. It's tiny and darling and cozy and modern, with attentive and warm staff. The menu changes all the time, there are a select few, with a nice variety and seasonal ingredients. We had the pan-fried gnocchi and it was to die for! Simple, flavorful, carefully crafted. All tables were taken, many of them with folk living in the neighborhood. We were only disappointed that they ran out of tiramisu.

Thoughtful, interesting, and delicious food. Not normally a pasta fan, I found it hard to stop eating their amazing homemade noodles even after I was full. Their appetizers were so flavorful - the burrata, the roasted veggies, all of it

The Roasted Chicken dish is very different, as it is served shredded in broth with noodles, stopping just short of being soup. It was a tasty surprise. The butternut squash tortellini with shrimp was flavorful, too.

The sauces, pasta, cheeses, all homemade and fresh - and taste like it.

The restaurant to offered the home-cooked great taste in simple meals that we would expect from an old-Italian relative (if we were lucky enough to have one!), with a warm and cozy atmosphere to match.

The value - unbelievable.

I have been dreaming of a place like Amerigo to open in Denver. Small, inviting, delightful and fulfilling. My boyfriend and I decided to go here last minute the night before Valentines Day to celebrate unofficially since we couldn't do so on Vday. The first experience somewhere is the most magical and most important and we were absolutely blown away with this being our first time in. The service was extremely friendly, caring and personable which is greatly appreciated. Secondly, the food was so outstanding, I felt refreshed and happy. Simple emotions, but simple emotions are good for someone like me. haha. I highly recommend the pulled pork, goat cheese and burrata on the antipasta dish to start. I had the house made linguine with the house made sausage with the house made pasta sauce.... um, yea... everything is house made and its taste house made and it tastes AMAZING. We even got a hello from the Chef himself. He is extremely nice and genuine, which I find also refreshing since chefs can easily not come off that way. I cannot say one bad thing about our experience. And if people find that the service is slow, then they should eat at a place of lower quality food. A place like Amerigo, I would easily dine there for hours because it's the type of place you go to enjoy your company with the amazing food you come to experience. And the prices almost make no sense to me. I would be greedy and charge $25/entree but they barely charge $15. We will definitely be back again, and again and again :D

I hesistate to review this place after the first time going here. I plan on giving it a second chance becuase I feel like my first visit was a fluke. First and foremost, MAKE A RESERVATION! This is a tiny little joint with only a handful of tables. I ordered the root vegetable salad to start and my bf had the ceasar salad. When I saw root vegetable salad I was expecting more root vegetables, but what I got was a tiny handful of arugula and a couple shavings of parsnips, that's it! Very dissapointing start. Then we ordered the Roasted Chicken and the Lasagna. When the name of a menu item is Roasted Chicken, you would expect to get some chicken, but instead it was mostly pasta with literally 4 shreds of chicken. We spoke with the owner and she was shocked, and immediately brought out a replacement dish. Sadly it was a little bland. Now for the good part - the Lasagna! I could eat this lasagna for breakfast, lunch and dinner everyday! It was incredible. Mmm, makes my mouth water thinking about it. I would go back time and time again for the lasagna. I just wish the rest of the food measured up to it's level.

This place is a wonderful addition to the lunch options in Ballpark. Everything is delicious, and so much of it is made in-house that you can't help but be impressed. I cannot WAIT to come in for dinner.

We went here with a Groupon and were very happy with the service and food. We tried the brushetta happy hour menu and loved them all. We each got a pasta dish and it was amazing. My friend got the crab lasangna and loved the presentaion as well as the taste. They even made my dish vegetarian and it was awesome. It was so light and flavorful that I ate the entire portion.

Like many others, I tried Amerigo Delicatus with a groupon deal. My husband and I arrived before 7PM on a Friday night without a reservation and it was relatively busy. We elected to sit at the tall table by the window because the dining area was very loud and the tables are basically on top of each other. We had great service at first and were well attended to when ordering appetizers and wine. The house made cheeses are pretty good and I like the reasonably-priced wine selection. I don't like that you have to pay $2 for crostini...what else are you supposed to eat the cheese with? After our appetizer, the restaurant suddenly got obnoxiously busy and after receiving our dinner entrees, we were shoved into the corner to make way for other guests and forgotten.
More disappointing than the service at that point were the entrees, themselves. My oxtail ragu with pappardelle was luke-warm and the noodles were so poorly cooked that they basically became weird dumplings that I couldn't separate. My husband was pretty displeased with the pasta in his seafood lasagna as well...for a place that only serves pasta for entrees, you had better get it right. After a long time, someone realized we were done with our dinner and asked if we wanted dessert. Reluctant to order more but also sort of hungry still from not loving my entree, we ordered the donut sundae, which wound up being given to us gratis as a result of the poor service. In all, I was really hoping to like this place and have it be a hidden gem, but I was disappointed and likely won't return soon.

Yeah for cute local businesses!

Staff (husband is the chef, wife if the hostess with the mostess, and a couple others) are beyond friendly, always have a smile on their face and do their best to make your experience fabulous!

I haven't been for lunch since they changed their lunch menu to be standard every day, but i'm looking forward to making it back.

Dinner i've enjoyed a number of times, and it is always an experience. Not always something that we like, but you can tell it was made expertly, with lots of thought put into it.

Sadly as i have aged, red sauce tends to send me into spastic heartburn right around 2 am if i eat it for dinner so i don't normally partake. The dinner menu had changed before me got there so the cream sauce option was not there, so i went with xtra appetizers (definitely not a bad thing) and a Cesar salad and did sneak hubby's left over sausage and red sauce - which joy of joys did not leave me writhing in pain at 2 am, so finally a place i can enjoy red sauce! Woot!

Back to the appetizers! Their fresh made barrata is always tasty, but now they have a cute little option where you choose your pieces from a list $2 each! The goat cheese with basil pesto was to die for - we had 2 and i considered a third!

They have their own branded wines, which i find adorable and very drinkable - and at $20 a pop, not a pain in the wallet!

By far the gnocchi is the best dish they make, so if you see it on the menu - grab it!

Glad to have a cute, delicious restaurant in the hood to grab a bite when you can't decide what to cook for dinner or need a little romantic outing!

An exploration of Amerigo Market
--
Had German cartographer Martin Waldseemüller thought differently when he was making a map of the world back in 1507, we might be singing "God Bless Vespucci" right now. And if you passed by the unassuming facade of Amerigo Delicatus Restaurant & Market without stopping for a bite, you could be missing out on one heck of a lunch. Coincidence is a funny thing, ain't it?
What's hardly coincidental is how Amerigo channels its homespun, laissez-faire attitude into seriously good Italian food. Much like Amerigo Vespucci, the explorer who gave the restaurant--and America--its name, it's stumbled onto a good thing. Owner Iain Chisholm designed the menu and built much of the 30-seat space by hand, with a vision of a neighborhood Italian restaurant, market, and sandwich shop all in one.
Amerigo is oddly situated in a former auto-repair shop that resides in the nebulous area where Ballpark and RiNo come together--the restaurant is just feet from Mike Whiting's iconic blue rhino sculpture--and that mixed-up identity is ingrained in the restaurant itself. When the clock strikes four, the menu takes a hard right turn from simple sandwiches and salads to more challenging fare like porchetta and oxtail cavatelli. The only constants are quality, house-made ingredients and reasonable prices across the board.
If only lunch shared the same creativity as dinner, which offers intriguing plates like a root vegetable salad ($4) with parsnips and a prosecco vinaigrette, and fried polenta ($6) with roasted duck and collard greens. But you're still cheating yourself if you miss out on Chisholm's sandwiches, made with solid stuff like house-made sausage and briny Pecorino Romano.
Think hearty baguettes with an angelic balance between crumble and sponge. Think rich house-made mayo oozing through the gaps. Think sopressata and generous slices of nutty Fontina in the Salumi sandwich ($7.50). Think all of this paired with a side of just-fried kettle chips. And consider, if you will, the pasta salad, ($7.50, $3.95 on the side) which less resembles your average Safeway deli case disaster than a thoughtful mélange of chewy pasta, greens, and reduced balsamic and garlic extra virgin olive oil vinaigrette. But here's a pro tip, Amerigo: stop stuffing your items with enough yellowing Romaine lettuce to dull your sharp flavors.
The bill for two sandwiches, sides, dessert and San Pellegrino sodas came to about 26 bucks--not half bad for a casual, yet well-composed noon repast with friendly service. Walk into Amerigo and more than likely it'll be Chisholm's wife, Anna, serving you that dark chocolate brownie ($1.95). A white-haired woman laughs that "if you'd waited five minutes, you could have had chocolate frosting!" Chisholm rolls her eyes. "That's my mother-in-law."
That sense of family and hominess is something restaurants much older than Amerigo fail to bring to the plate. Though the Amerigo crew could benefit from a little less looseness, it's a place that would make you want to stop in for a salad or to take home a container of that awesome pasta when you're on a lonely voyage down Larimer Street.

I found this place with a LivingSocial deal. This restaurant deserves your business -- it's run by a nice young couple who seem to be pouring their heart and soul into the food and operation of the business. They use high-quality ingredients and are definitely something a little different than what we're used to. This small business is the real deal, and I wish them great success!

A groupon and a co-worker's recommendation brought us to Amerigo.

The good:
1. Homemade pasta, sauces, sausage--all delicious.
2. Wine by the bottle at a reasonable price point. I'm no wine connoisseur, though I enjoyed the house red.
3. Entree pricing that didn't make my head spin.

The meh:
1. Service, while very friendly, was slow. It almost seemed like there weren't set roles and nobody knew who should be doing what.
2. My partner had the seafood lasagna. It looked delish, but he said some of the crab tasted freezer burned. I'd recommend the linguini instead.
3. I'm generally not a fan of the long booth w/ chairs along the other side of the table configuration. Things were tight and I prefer to not have the party next to me practically taking part in my conversation. If private and intimate is what you're going for, look elsewhere.

Just a heads up: The appetizers are tiny. The ones we saw come out appeared to be for one person, not sharing.

This was my second time here...the first was just for drinks and an a cheese/meat plate. This time we had dinner. The service and ambiance was 5-star, the food so-so. I will return to try a few more items. I may have just ordered wrong or had set my expectation too high (I was thoroughly excited when I saw them in the 'hood).

I do wish they were more of a market I would love a place I could ride my bike to to buy some specialty items here and there. Although I know that would be difficult crammed into such an intimate space (although I've been to little places like this in Italy and it's completely doable). In any case, welcome to the neighborhood...I wish you success!

I didn't know about this place until a Groupon popped up one day so I took a look at the menu and said 'yup'.

We had the Burrata to start and it was nice, can't say no to fresh cream. The homemade pasta and sausage were amazing. You can really tell the difference when there is that much heart and soul in the food. The house white was ok and reasonably priced but it sounded like we should have got the house red based on our neighboring diners.

The staff was super friendly. We'll be back with more people soon.

Amerigo is a fantastic new addition to the ballpark hood..just a couple blocks' walk from my office in fact. I've been a few times for lunch now, and once for dinner. Each time was a delight, with delicious food and attentive service. For lunch their sandwiches are really tasty (especially because of their delicious bread) and they serve them with their house-made potato chips which are just a perfect balance of sweet and salty.

For dinner they offer more traditional italian fare, when the wifey and I went she had some delicious raviolis and I opted for the tagliatelle with meatballs. The meatballs were delicately seasoned and tender! Their wine list accompanied the meal choices nicely as well.

For both lunch and dinner, their menu is not huge, but everything on it (including everything I've had the pleasure to try) is fantastic, I don't think you could make a bad choice.

All in all, Amerigo is great, and a welcome addition to the hood. They've gotten off to a great start, unlike some other new places nearby, so help them keep it up by going to check them out!

We've been to Amerigo twice--Once for Tanqueray and Tonics and small bites on the patio, and a couple weeks ago for dinner.

Food was decent but didn't knock my socks off. Atmosphere is pretty nice, and the service both times we were in was spectacular.

It is nice having another option on the outskirts of LoDo so we will certainly check 'em out again.

First review I've written since moving to CO over 1 year ago, because no place has inspired me to do so prior to this.

We arrived after 7pm when the tables were full (the place is small, so make reservations if you can) but were immediately noticed and attended to regardless. The impeccable, friendly service continued throughout the evening. The small size of the place makes for an intimate and lively environment.

We ordered burrata (delicious), small salad (perfectly dressed), 2 pasta dishes (meat dishes that they made vegetarian for us), and brownie sundae for dessert. All items were distinctly fresh and clearly well-crafted, and were perfectly portioned so that we were full but not stuffed at the end. For 4 drinks, 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 1 dessert -- $70 (w/o tip). Definitely worth it given the quality and service.

We really hope this neighborhood gem does as well as it deserves!

I'll start with the highlights - homemade ricotta and the carrot pickles on the salumi plate were fantastic, as was the fall root salad and the ceasar. The linguini with meatballs was also great. The service was also really friendly and prompt but never intrusive, and the prices are absolutely reasonable.

However, to get an A-OK or better, all the food should be pretty darned good. Unfortunately, the potatoes under the lamb chops tasted as if they had been cooked, refrigerated, and then not quite warmed up again - they had that starch-y texture and taste. Disappointing. The papardelle with roasted duck tasted exactly like the roasted turkey soup. Rather than roasted, they both tasted smoked. Furthermore, I think that the duck may have been turkey. I could easily be wrong, but it tasted like turkey to me (maybe they used the turkey broth in the sauce?). In either case, both dishes were overwhelmingly smoke flavored. So, overall, I'd say 4 stars for much of what we had as well as the ambiance, but with a couple dishes being poor, I can't say I'm eager to go back.

I pass Amerigo to and fro from work and always peek in during the dinner hour on my way home to see how busy they are. I finally made it in a few weeks ago with my mom, Living Social deal in hand. This is definitely, nicer, handcrafted, made with love type dining but affordable enough for a weeknight out. But more on that later.

I think the small, paper menu is printed daily based on what they're cooking up. While they don't have a ton of meatless options, they are able to do any of the pastas without meat. As such, we were sold on the gnocchi sans pancetta.

The wine, beer, and spirit menus are small but thoughtful. I had a Great Divide Hades (I think) and Mom had a Sauv Blanc from California. We shared everything else straight down the middle: antipasti plate, gnocchi, and a dessert. We didn't leave stuffed by any means, but that's usually a-OK by me.

The antipasti came with a some pickled carrots (delicious) pickled garlic (could have used a bit more picklin'), a small amount of housemade ricotta (more of this please!) and some sort of salumi (you eat that, Mom) as well as some small breads. Overall on the small side but price was in line at $7.

The gnocchi was awesome. It had corn, mushrooms, onions, and basil and the pan was delgazed with prosecco so it was slightly sweet and bright with acidity but had a great savory depth (probably from the deglazed pan juices?) Not sure, but I hadn't had a dish so tasty and well balanced in a long time. The gnocchis also had a nice, browned crisp on the edges. I could have eaten the whole plate easily by myself.

For dessert we had a little pear tart/empanada type thing. It was tasty, but on the smaller side and the presentation could have used a little something/substance. Ice cream maybe? But at $4, it was just the right size (all of their desserts range from $4-5, a welcome change from the typical $8, put-you-over-the-edge-with-richness post-dinner affair). I'd really like to get back there when their housemade donut bread pudding is on the menu.

Overall, our meal clocked in just about at the value of the Livimg Social deal: $40. Honestly not bad considering the nice ambience, attentive service, and great food. Some might have qualms with the portion sizes, but I think they are set at the appropriate price points, given the quality. I hope this little place does well.

Last night I discovered Amerigo's. Given that, I believe the place should rename itself after me, since it's named after Amerigo Vespucci who "discovered" America. http://en.wikipedia.org/…

Hmmmmmm. How's my logic doin?

Anyway, I hereby plant my flag and claim this place in the name of me, 'cause I really really like it. What do I like the most? The in-house made pasta and burrata. What do I like the least? That they didn't have a hook on which I could hang my suit jacket in the genderless restroom . (Do ya read these reviews Mr. and Mrs. Delicatus? Can ya put in a john hook?:)

After reading all of the glowing Yelp reviews I was excited to give this restaurant a try. However our meal just wasn't as amazing as I was hoping for. Overall it was decent/good, but I didn't feel blown away. Love the overall concept...maybe we would have enjoyed it more if they had had a dedicated veggie option?

Pros:
Very friendly staff - I can definitely appreciate that.
Cool restaurant set-up - intimate, I love the open kitchen/chalkboard menu.
They have a $20 bottle of red wine on their menu, which actually tastes pretty good. Very refreshing to see that, as most restaurants charge at least $30/bottle for the same quality.
Tiramisu - I am normally somewhat indifferent to tiramisu, but this was delicious.

Cons:
They were out of the Tartlet so we ordered the Crispy Artichokes - Barely anything to actually eat. If these were served complimentary - fine, but we felt like we paid just to feel confused.
Burratta - Cheese was good, but 'crostini' wasn't actually toasted. Seems like a place like this would take that extra step.
Gnocchi sans pancetta - Maybe it's because we ordered it vegetarian? We both thought it was bland and added salt in hopes of making it better. It didn't really help and we felt pretty unfulfilled after our meal (hence the tiramisu).

Maybe I would go back if I noticed a particularly delicious-sounding veggie option on the menu? In the meantime, there are still many other place to try...

Eager for a new food adventure in D-town, me and the rents decided to try Amerigo. We had reservations but showed up and the tables were taken so were placed at a high-top. It wasn't the end of the world, but the super friendly staff made it a point to ensure we were at an actual table as soon as possible. The great service continued throughout the meal.

We ordered a bottle of the house wine, appetizers, main courses and desserts at different times which was the way to go seeing as the food came out super fast. Standouts were the goat cheese tarte, butternut squash gnocchi and linguini with sausage. I am pretty sure everything they crank out is delicious and the fact the small menu changes frequently has me eager to go back soon.

This place would be perfect for date night or a catch-up with friends. I can guarantee you will be more than welcomed by the staff and the eats will be good.

Another Denver gem! I have been once for lunch and once for dinner so far and have enjoyed my visit each time but the food a little bit more on the dinner menu.

The space is small but well laid out and quant feeling. The service is really great! All the folks are really nice and glad to answer any menu questions you might have.

I had lamb chops with potatoes and wine sauce last time I was in and I wanted to lick my plate it was so good! The hubs got pasta with sausage meatballs and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal, too. The prices seem just right, as well!

I'm looking forward to my next visit!

MOLTO BENE!

Amerigo Delicatus is a small restaurant that is a little hidden away in the Five Points/River North area of town, and inside you'll find brick walls, a long community table, a large chalkboard with the menu offerings, and an open kitchen where you can make awkward eye contact with the chefs as they roll your gnocchi.

I love that their small menu seems to change once every week or so, and I was optimistic that the small menu meant the limited selections would be all the more excellent. They were.

We ordered a starter, a beef shoulder bruschetta topped with arugula and EVOO, and it was melt in your mouth AMAZING ($5 for 4 crostinis topped with meat). It's only been 12 hours, but I'm tempted to go back for more again today. My only wish is that the meat would have been salted a bit more to really make the flavors pop.

Next up was the infamous gnocchi (stirred with corn and pancetta) and a stuffed chicken breast on top of a bed of polenta. The gnocchi ($15) was incredible, and I loved all of the ingredients in the dish. Though I normally wouldn't think to pair everything together in the dish (corn and gnocchi?), it worked. And it worked WELL. The stuffed chicken breast ($14) was juicy and flavorful, the polenta didn't blow me away - but it was filling.

When I give out 5 star reviews, I consider the food and the extra wow factor. For me, on top of great service (our host and server were very friendly), incredible food (so simple but delicious!), Amerigo's intangible 5th star is attributed to the overall atmosphere - with an Italian wine in my hand, excited chatter bouncing off the brick walls, and the smell of homemade gnocchi from the kitchen, I felt like I had been transported to Italy.

For three drinks (2 wines, a beer), a starter, and two entrees, we paid $54 - a true Italian experience for much less than a trip to Italy!

Awesome new Italian restaurant here that opened up down the block. Ma' lady likes the gnocchi. I like the red sauce here, so usually go with something that has it. We both dig, very much, the bread pudding which is made out of their homemade donuts that they make every Saturday morning (their brunch is supposed to and probably does rock).

Great atmosphere. Great little "homey" spot. Great owners/servers. And great drinks. The menu is always changing which is great. Three visits and we've never had a bad experience.

My friend and I stumbled upon this place while we were driving through the Ballpark area, searching for a simple spot to grab a lighter/smaller dinner. The vibe of the place is really comforting. I particularly appreciated the carboys filled with lights hanging from the ceiling. The art on the walls reminded me of something that would be seen in an early 1990s art gallery but I really dug the exposed brick. The place has a funky/hip edge to it.

Our waiter was attentive and all of our food came out on time. The woman managing the place (maybe the owner) was quite friendly and explained about some of the food's preparation. It's clear this place is eager to thrive and I think they've filled a niche in the neighborhood so I hope it happens.

We loved the mozzarella appetizer. The ravioli and gnocchi were unqiue and well-portioned. Although I think they should consider downgrading the pasta prices a bit (maybe 2-3 dollars?). They were small and perfect for sharing and while the quality was superb they just seemed a little pricey.

I really do want to like this place, in fact I even want to love it but we just haven't gotten to that level.

I've been here once before tonight just to stop by and have a quick bite. We had the brownie sundae and a mimosa and the brownie was a little too hard but the homemade ice cream was great. The dinner and lunch menus looked spectacular though so I was super excited to come back.

Welp, tonight the boyfriend and I came back just for another quick bite and decided to split the gnocchi because it just looked so darn fantastic on the menu. I mean, gnocchi, arugula, mushrooms, and a fried egg - what a combo, right? I was stoked to taste a dish made from scratch with in-season ingredients, but this sadly fell short.

The presentation was wonderful but the dish was so incredibly salty that I could barely eat it. I was super hungry though and scarfed it down so I ended up spending more time with my water glass than enjoying the dish.

Now, I love the vibe, I love the menu offerings, the prices are great, and the service is BEYOND fantastic. Perhaps I just had a faulty dish tonight? I do hope to come back and explore the lunch menu but until then I must live with my electrolyte imbalance and three star review.

I have been waiting to try this place as it's only a block from my office. So today I took a friend and I can't say we're excited to go back. I'm not sure if the dinner is any better, but the lunch menu just isn't that exciting. There are some sandwiches and salads and a soup, but both my friend and I weren't all that impressed with what they serve. My Cobb salad was good, but I've had better. It wasn't very hardy and the ingredients were mundane. My friend tried a turkey sandwich which she said was just so-so (too much bread and not a lot of flavor). The price isn't bad, it's just that there are so many other lunch choices in the area and the food is more exciting elsewhere. I did fully appreciate their kettle chips though - yum!

Perhaps someday I'll try their dinner, but lunch seemed like a bust.

A friend told me about this place so we stopped in on Saturday night after Oktoberfest. The place was buzzing with people except a few empty tables which i imagine will not be the case once word gets out. The interior is simple and small, yet cozy feeling.

The wait staff were incredibly friendly and helpful when deciding what to order. We shared the capresi, bruschetta, and the canoli, all of which were very fresh and delicious. The house wine was good and comes in a small short glass. A great spot for a date or out with friends.

Excited to go back for dinner and brunch!

A few weeks ago my wife and I found this place by a Facebook post from a friend. We were already talking about where we should have dinner so we decided to give it a try. Wow, am I glad we did. We have been back 3 times since.

It's a smaller restaurant with a great atmosphere. The staff is one of the friendliest I've seen in a very long time! We've even had the owners come chat with us a few times when they have a free second. My wife and I are small business owners and we understand the importance of great customer service. These guys definitely have that figured out as well.

The food here is excellent! I am a huge fan of gnocchi but have rarely found it anywhere that is worth writing about. Theirs is so good I had to write about it. Each time I've had it has changed based on what's in season. It's like a new meal each time...great idea! The appetizer Frito is the best piece of swine I've eaten in a long time. (That's saying a LOT since I'm not a big pork fan) The deserts are awesome. Cannoli, bread pudding....Mmmm.

Overall this place is amazing. It's fairly close to my home, but I would certainly drive across town for their food.....AND their great service.

My boyfriend and I stopped in on a Thursday night after a long day of work for both of us. Anna, the waitress/co-owner was incredibly welcoming. She made us feel as though we were regulars even though it was our first time in the restaurant. We started with the Salumi plate (delicious and perfectly portioned for two). I had the gnocchi, and must say that it was the best gnocchi dish I've ever had. The pork was a slow-cooked flavorful masterpiece and the gnocchi tasted like it was just prepared within the last five minutes (which it probably was.) The sauce was sweet and savory and was the perfect pairing for the pork. As we finished up dinner, Ian (the chef/co-owner) also came out to greet us. He was very friendly and made us feel like we've been there a hundred times before.

The prices are extremely low for the quality of food received at this restaurant. It would be a perfect spot for a first date or quaint meal. Everything is prepared on-site with the finest ingredients available. It was absolutely a treat.

We went back again for brunch that weekend and it was just as delicious! We will be back again soon for more neighborhood Italian treats!

Stoppped in after first Friday last night. We were greeted by a friendly staff. Our friend had been there before, so we were looking forward to it.

We let the server control the food order. He did a great job bringing samplings from the beginning to the end of the menu.

Highlights: Gnocchi, house made suasage, cannolis, and I could go on.

Chef owner came over and talked to us , and thanked us for coming in. The sous chefs were super friendly as well.

Looking forward to going back in a few weeks to check out the next menu.

Get There!

This is a fantastic addition to the Ballpark neighborhood. I had the linguini with sausage, and it was superb. The decor is so simple and warm, staff is clearly willing to please. The menu is very basic, but the prices are more than reasonable.

This is a MUST visit for LoDo.

Fantastic little new spot that's priced just right for the Italio-American lover.

If you're a fan of gnocchi, you're in for a real treat. Not only is the subtle meat so perfectly complemented with the peach, but the fact that you can have such an eloquent meal for under $15 boggles my mind.

Drinks are satisfactory and the ambiance is that hip new modern cool. Not much you can go wrong here with the given exception that perhaps the "bum-mu-da" triangle may present you with undesired company during your delicious meal on the outside patio.

Aside from that, color me impressed!

Small menu, great ambiance and friendly service. Their menu is small but fantastic and at great prices. We started with a green salad with bacon and bruschetta with goat cheese and pesto, both nice light starters, we then had linguini with sausage which was simply amazing and gnocchi with pork, sage and peach which was also delicious and well balanced. For dessert, at 3 dollars each we tried the pannacotta with strawberries, basil and pepper and the cannoli. Their wine menu is still quite limited but I am sure it will grow with time.
Glad to have them in the neighborhood ....I will visit them often

They just opened today right across the street from me so I'm sure I'll be going back for a follow up. I went with friends and we shared a few different items. The wine (they only have one red and one white) was ok. The appetizers were good but I wish they had brought out a small plate for each of us since we were sharing.

We split three entrees between three of us so we could try a few things. They have a very small menu (four entrees) but the whole restaurant is small so it makes sense. They're clearly sticking to what they know which is great. Had the Gnocchi, Meatballs and Pasta and something that was kinda like a crepé, I believe it's a Crespelle. All three were very good. The Gnocchi was a little salty by itself but then when you add a slice of the peach that was on top of it it balanced out the salty with the sweet perfectly, it was spot on. The meatballs were fantastic as was the pasta and roughly chopped red "sauce" they were served with. The Crespelle was not as great as the other two entrees but still very good.

Overall very good and I'm really happy to have a new restaurant in the neighborhood.
