Personally, this bowling alley has some work to do. Â There is NEVER enough staff to help assist the customers. Â They typically have business and I feel like the employees are ran beyond what they can physically handle. Â That being said, I feel like they try to avoid situations of actual work. Â You know how people disappear and when you find them they are cleaing something that doesnt need to be cleaned and there is a line of customers at the counter? Â That is this place!!
There are about 50 lanes, 25 on each side and the score is tracked by computer so thats nice.
The place is usually clean except for the restrooms.
We had a great time here! Lots of lanes, very bright. Great scoring system. Bug selection of bowling balls: all different weight balls with small, med, and large finger holes. Very friendly service. A little pricey (2 pairs of shoes and 2 games/person = $33). But that is the name of the game. Great arcade, billiards room, snack bar, and full bar. Love this place! When in Winston, will visit again!
Review Source:This is a large bowling alley - I'd guess that have over 50 lanes split between the two sides. Â It was very busy when we went so I thought it very odd that only one person was handling all of the lanes/shoes. Â It was really slow - she really needed some help. Â Eventually we got a lane and paid for shoes and one game. Â
I had to search for a while to find the right ball. Â They are crappy AMF balls, unfortunately. Â I didn't like the lanes. Â They seemed to be very oily. Â I mean, you almost had to wipe the oil off your ball after every roll. Â Also, they have large TVs hanging directly over a lot of the lanes. Â Even though we were lucky not to have one right there, it still is very distracting. Â TVs are fine, but just put them near where people sit - not over the lanes. Â The scoring system is archaic. Â The pinsetter on our lane was horrendous - it would set various pins at random and it would also end up knocking down a pin occasionally as well. Â
We had payed for one game, but ended up playing 2. Â After we were done, we went to return shoes and pay for our second game. Â The lady working there insisted that she had charged us for 2 games! Â She definitely had not, but we weren't going to argue so we left. Â I think she just was very confused because she was working alone and it was pretty busy. Â She really needed some assistance. Â
Overall, I can't think of much that I like about this place at all actually. Â But it isn't the worst I've been to.
