"This isn't nam Smokey, this is bowling, there are rules. You mark that frame an 8, and you're entering a world of pain." -Big Lebowski

Bowling, such an odd and yet mildly fun way to pass the time. Roll ball, hit pins, rinse & repeat for a total of 10 frames.

Cant say I have experienced the obnoxious night time weekend bowling shenanigans that previous Yelpers have not been fond of. My usual day of bowl-o-rama is Wednesday. (Note: Wednesday also happens to be league night, so don't expect a lot of lanes open though tbh never had a problem thus far even when they only have about 6 open lanes left).

I hit up the 2 hours of bowling with shoes included for $17 after 7PM. Join their text program and you get 5 bucks off , use that and your receipt generally always contains a survey for 5 bucks off. So thus far I always get the aforementioned deal for $12, which yes is not the prices I remember from my yester-years but given a date outing, the two of us fit in 5 games and it comes out a lot cheaper than paying for them individually.

This place could probably use a face lift, and the snack bar, well growing up in a bowling league yea you even avoided them then and it still comes with the same caution, eat at your own risk.

My daughter loves night bowling here.  Lights all dimmed out, everything is fluorescent, crappy lady gaga songs blaring from the speakers...kids dig it!  It can get pricey here with renting out lanes and shoes.  But definitely a fun time to be had...beats watching paint dry.

Had a group of co-workers get together here for a few hours of bowling.  Had a good time, not overly packed but it was pretty busy.  Good experience over all, somewhat smokey.  Decently priced drinks, good lanes and adequate balls.

This place is too expensive for what it is. I ended up spending almost $50 bucks.

I bowled for one hour on a sunday for 14.99, shoes are included.
    $7.99 for a 7 inch pizza.

Two pitchers of budlight for $9 dollars each.

I felt like I was being hustled. I might as well went to main event or 300 for these kind of prices.

I also realized I lost my skills, I bowled below 100. NO BUENO

Eh.  It's a bowling alley...  Nothing wrong, nothing great.  If you wanna bowl this is a safe bet.

Won't go back, unless friends want to for some weird reason...

If you show up at 11pm - 1am, they have all you can bowl for about $18. Even though I didn't take advantage of that price, there were a hefty amount of people on a Saturday night and the dimmed lights and loud music did make the atmosphere quite fun. During normal hours the lights are regular fluorescent lights but during after hours (all you can bowl) they have the special dimmed lights that accentuate the color white, pump up the music and show music videos on a HUGE screen across the bowling alley. Pretty sweet. I loved the remixed songs they played.

They give out free socks to those who don't have their own, but when we went they were out of socks to give out. The bowling balls themselves seem a bit beat up. The 8 lb ball I used felt cheap and plastic-y on the finger-holes and it just felt like a ghetto ball. Shoes seem pretty clean and seating area is clean as well. There is an arcade, but it doesn't seem like many people visit that section since most people are there to, well, bowl. There's also a refreshment center located left of the entrance.

Service would've been nice had the guy not made a snide remark to my best friend's auntie noting how "people should wear regular shoes with socks instead of sandals...that way you avoid needing socks for bowling shoes." Hey man, just hand her the shoes.

And a star off for allowing smoking. Come on, we don't need 2nd hand smoking here.

I feel like Rumpelstiltskin. I haven't been bowling since I worked at an alley in high school. The prices have gone up. Like, a LOT.

I took my two boys to experience the thrill of throwing a 50 pound ball down an oily wooded plank to knock over some wooden pegs - ah the nostalgia for me and the newness for them. Despite their excitement and joy of the experience, I had a hard time swallowing the price tag coupled with the meager service. There were about 3 people working in the entire place - only one of them at the desk when I first checked in, which doesn't seem very proportionate for over 30 lanes. It looks like almost all the lanes have retractable bumpers on them (great for the kids). The three of us needed shoes and played 2 games and I spent around forty bucks. It wouldn't have been so bad if they had accepted the coupon they gave me when I payed for the first round (for my next visit only, apparently - went in the trash) or if I didn't have to wait in line for 20 minutes to pay for the 2nd game. And it didn't help that their receipts automatically print out with a line left open for a tip (a big pet peeve of mine). If I have to serve myself, there is no tip. If I have to endure crappy service and wait times, there is no tip. Oh, and note to management: Playing 50's rock and roll does not enhance my bowling experience. In fact, I think that went out of style in the 80's.

The fact that this place barely had any people in it on a Saturday must be a result of the above.

Woodlands Bowling place, if you want to draw people in, create an aggressive price level for kids, turn down the music and put in enough staff (and check-in stations - one isn't going to cut it) to move people through the process quickly. Perhaps even a place where you can go add games without having to wait in line - like a kiosk or something.
