As a disclaimer, I've been to this place twice and the first time was a grand ol' time. I think because it was a Sunday, which is their busiest day of the week because people go after church across the street, they had their best staff come in and everything went perfectly; food was great and server was really attentive. The second time, however, was one of the worst experiences in service I've ever had. It was a Saturday, we made a reservation but still had to wait 20 mins for a table even though the place was pretty empty.
They sat us in the party room upstairs and then we waited for THIRTY (30) MINUTES for someone to take our order. All of us had forgone eating lunch to come here and now we've been hungry for nearly an hour. There was another party that went upstairs with us and they had gotten their food before we even placed our order. The bus boy ended up taking our order, even though the waiter had been attending to every other table in the place.
And then to top it off, there was a type of finger sandwich that smelled like it was rotten. Maybe that's was the way it's supposed to be and I just didn't like it, because I didn't get sick or anything after I took a bite and realized what I'd eaten. All in all, I think your best bet would be to go on a Sunday because it was amazing the one time and I want people to enjoy it!
I went to Ana Beall's for a baby shower this past weekend. I was so pumped because who doesn't love a good baby shower and a good cup of tea, right? WRONG! We rented out the upstairs room which had one section of the room very messy and cluttered. They seemed to be short on servers and staff so that plus a group of about 24 really wasn't the best combo. The tea was delicious and so were the scones. They had clotted cream and jams which really made the scones that much more tasty. They gave out finger sandwhiches which were mediocre. There was one really good tasting sandwhich that essentially tasted like a BLT that went through a blender then placed on a mini piece of bread. My favorite part was the orange juice they supplied with the champagne we brought to make mimosas.
Review Source:Ana Beall's is a great place for brunch/lunch. They have a large arrangement of teas and their food average. Small selection on food may think about expanding selection  a little more. They were short on servers but they let us know that right away. They only problem was the server was no where to be found after she serverd our food. This is a great place to go as a mother daughter experience.
