I came here last week and I have mixed feelings about the food. The service was fantastic though. We had ceviche appetizer which was really good and then I had the lobster tacos. Nice portions and I was really excited for them but it was just missing something. Spice? Lettuce? I don't know. Then my husband and I split the bread pudding. I'm not sure if it was bread pudding or a large muffin that was warmed up. I would give it another try though.
Review Source:I was very excited for a friend's birthday dinner after I reviewed the menu online, but the experience did not live up to my expectations. Â Tex-Mex without guacamole....is not Tex-Mex. Â
I always enjoy BYOB places, so that was a plus but they ran out of avocados and plantains; both things I wanted to order. And when we were not ready to put in our order because of the 86 list; the waiter just walked away. Didn't offer any suggestions, just left!
The menu is innovative and different.  It wasn't the standard Burritos and Tacos. I had Short Ribs with sautéed spinach and cilantro mashed potatoes, that were not the warmest and didn't have as much flavor as I thought they would. I also tried the Lime Pork which sounded very good, but  was very crispy. The appetizers were better then the meals. We had the chorizo and chicken empanadas, the baby back ribs and shrimp quesadillas; which were my favorite. They were very tasty. Lastly we had banana carmel bread pudding; this sounded like it was going to be amazing as it is all my favorites in 1 dessert; but it came out in a muffin shape and the consistency of a muffin; not what you would except for bread pudding.
All in all, the service was not not impressive, but the portions sizes are large, and my meal and what I tried of my friends were ok, but not as spectacular as I was hoping for.
I was very dissapointed. Wanted to try this for awhile and picked up the living social deal. Went with a group of 4. After the living social deal was still over $100 with no alcohol. Food unfortunatley was a small step above a chevy's. I had a chipolte pork combo thing and a duck quesidilla. The best part of the dish was the sauce. The pork was dry and tough. I would have given this place three stars if the prices were cut in half but I just can't justify more. The service also was very spotty. Our waitress disappeared after taking our order and we never saw her until the bill was ready.
