Limani Seafood Grill

I absolutely loved my experience at Limani.  My boyfriend took me out here on a Friday date night.  Definitely make a reservation.  It's a relatively authentic Greek place, which I can say with confidence after living in Athens for 5 months.  

Best seafood we ever tasted in New Jersey.  Probably the best scallops I have ever had in my entire life.  And that's saying a lot because I eat a lot of scallops.  My boyfriend is from New England, so he can be quite the seafood snob - and even he was blown away by the food.  I would highly recommend this place if you're ever in the area!

As good as it gets is definitely right!!! My husband and I went here last Saturday night for a post Valentine's date dinner. It was crazy good. Best Seafood in all of Jersey. We had made a reservation and got in early actually. Place was super crowded by the time we left. We ordered two appetizers. Awesome!! I had halibut for the main course. It was heavenly. We will definitely be going back real soon. Our waitress was also awesome. 100% perfect service. Thank you Limani!

Went to Limani last night for the first time after doing an online search for good seafood places in North Jersey. I am glad this is the place i picked. We had a very friendly and attentive waitress (Mai) welcome us in and make us feel right at home. My girlfriend opted for the tasting menu, which at $50 is very reasonably priced. She got to try a vast assortment of their offerings (lobster roll, scallops, lamb chops, sashimi grade tuna, greek salad, spanikopita, octopus, desserts). I started with a half dozen blue point oysters and the crab meat cocktail as my apps. Both were very fresh and tasty, and the oysters were shucked perfectly, which might not seem like a big deal, but sometimes grit can be a deal breaker. My entree was the scallop special which came with caramelized figs and apples, sauteed spinach, and mashed sweet potatoes. It was delicious. The scallops were cooked to perfection, and they didn't skimp on the portion either. My sole complaint was that my dish had too many sweet notes. While the sweet potatoes were great, the sauce the scallops were in was also sweet, and perhaps regular mashed potatoes would have been a better choice to compliment the sweet scallops. With all that being said, the experience was above satisfactory, and i am certain we will be returning to Limani in the near future for our seafood cravings. oh. and it's BYOB.
