    Arash,

You have been my favorite HALAL store for awhile now.. please maintain that way, pretty please...

My recent visit with Hubs was on Thursday February 21st 2013.  Needed to get some Lamb.  Unfortunately they dont have the cuts that I want, but I still get some stuffs for the ingredients I need for the upcoming POTLUCK that weekend.  From Ground Beef, to Mixed Lamb Pieces and Lamb Sirloin and some of the produce I tried to get all the ingredients at Arash...

Then I also found several Frozen Pizzas, though only at the check-out I knew the price... Oh Well..

I also notice at the frozen aisle, they have OXTAIL and BEEF FEET.... Hmmm perhaps shall return next time and see whether I can get deals for these items..  The store is always kept clean.  The items are always stocked up.  The salesperson behind the Poultry/Meat counter and the rest of the staffs are always please to assist you and they are always welcoming.

The only qualm I have is the parking space outside Arash.  The day we were there, its packed.. so make sure, park properly and give way to other drivers coz things can happen in which it nearly did that evening...

If ONLY, they can make a bigger parking space for Arash...

All in all, its always pleasant experience shopping at Arash.  Thank you, Arash...

This is a perfect little ethnic market.

Fresh meats - beef(halal), chicken and lamb
    Fresh french and bulgarian feta
great selection of fresh olives which are better quality than Whole Foods but not as pricey.
Huge assortment of various tea's(chinese, english, persian)
Fresh high quality produce at ridiculously low prices
    Different types of pita bread
Lots of persian and arab desserts and snacks
    Delicious samosas
and everything else you'd expect from an ethnic international grocery market

The parking situation can get a little hectic on the weekends but that should be expected for a popular place like this. So, exercise patience or park a little further away. I drive down from north thornton every weekend and wouldnt have it any other way.

I live in Highlands Ranch and work in Lakewood, so this market is out of the way to say the least. But we still make a special trip to Aurora every couple of months to stock up on groceries that are superior quality to, or priced more reasonably than, what we can find close to home.

I especially recommend the Tazah brand Falafel and Tabbouli mixes, the various Feta cheeses in the deli case, the very reasonably priced T-bones and lamb chops, and their always-fresh, super low priced green, orange, yellow and red bell peppers (you may have to search for the freshest ones). The canned Dolmas (stuffed grape leaves) are very reasonably priced - I prefer the Zergut brand, which seems to come and go. But the real reason we make a special trip here is for the imported Italian pasta, which will usually run you $2 to $4 a pound at the big supermarket chains and costs $1.29 a pound at Arash for top quality pasta.

Great place, friendly service, and super prices. I wish they'd open a second location in the southern suburbs.

Arash is definitely the cleanest Arabic store in the area. They have Halal meat that is always fresh and delicious.

    I really like Arash!

They have produce.  The normal stuff for sure, but then they have things like Persian cucumbers, bunches of dill, almonds still in drupe form, and sour plums.  And everything is a very nice price.

Other than that, they have candies, drinks, yogurt and cheese from many places around the globe.  I like finding some Russian stuff there, and I like trying new things.

They do accept credit cards!  Watch the parking, though,  Don't park in the Crystal's lot!

Arash, I'm still a fan of getting the freshest and tastiest produce in the Rockies. Turlock lavash!- Love it! The service is minimal unless you are getting something from the meat counter, so don't expect too much attention. The shelves are constantly being restocked with fresh cases of goods... The tea selection rocks, and the rice, olive oils, international cookies, spices, etc... Yum.

I know I had a review written before.  But this time I really needed a leg of lamb and I got it.  The cute young man behind the counter took his time to pick the best one for me.  I also got all the spices I needed, vegies, yoghurt to make cold soup, a cake, some fruits.
Thank you, Arash!  See you next week!

avoid the weekends.. its like... a mad house starting at the parking lot.    this place is packed with lot of unusual stuff you cant find at local chain grocers.  check out the cheese, yogurt, olives and bread.  the fresh produce is usually lot cheaper.

however, i have found out that cheaper produce means not so good on quality.  if you buy a pack of strawberry's at Soopers and pay $1 more, they usually taste better.  if you pay $0.25 more for avocado, they are usually bigger and lasts longer.  how can a small one store grocer compete with mega chain grocer on fresh produce?

however, if you are looking for certain items, this is the place!

good luck finding lamb at Soopers!

This is the place to go for Middle Eastern Groceries, extensive collection of Butchered Meats, fresh Veggies (really cheap) and a great variety of Pitas, Lavaash Bread and Lebneh.
I was in love with the store, the first time i stepped in. It was the perfect place for me to start my middle eastern cooking excursion. I had been doing a lot of reading on Lebanese & Turkish recipes to prepare a 5 course meal. I was amazed to find the most rare and diverse ingredients in this store. Including the spice blends, special breads and that *very* herbs that i was looking for.
It is a 5 Star store.. Mecca for Middle Eastern Grocery... Fresh veggies and MEAT.

Why did I take so long to get here?

This small market has the perfect neighborhood feel.  Great selection of lamb, Cheap pricing, Friendly and prompt service.

My suggestion: Buy a day and night cake, pick up some uber fresh pitas, try some fresh feta and dont leave without stocking up on produce.  I stopped by on my lunch break and ended up with a bag full of goodies for my home.

Let me say it's in the neighborhood and offers middle eastern food.
I appreciate getting good lamb and goat there, feta cheese, vegetables.
But have to say I do not like the attitude inside and the overall the selection is quite minimal.

Again, it's there and easy to reach, also $$ is reasonable.

I will be honest and say that I have not been to any other Mediterranean market in Denver. But it basically covers most of what a beginner middle eastern food enthusiast would seek so I have not really had a need to go look for a different place.

They have a great selection of olives - and for a die hard olive lover like me, I NEED to shop here. You get great quality olives for a much lower price. That alone could make me want to drive down from the cold cold North. But they had to have great quality lamb and for prices - hold your breath - much lower than wholesale Costco. And you can choose the cuts.
And then they had to have the goat meat , extra virgin cold pressed olive oil, lavash breads,za'tar, sumac and other herbs and spices.
So I have to go there for some seriously addictive shopping experience. Its like discovering middle east ... slowly, and without making a hole in your pocket.

I agree with the majority that this Arash offers excellent prices on produce.

I didn't give it a 5 star because I am hoping they expand a little more Arabic items.

They do have the basics that most Greeks, Arabs, Israelis, Persians have in common when it comes to food, but they lack a little bit on variety.

They do have the space....hopefully they can introduce other items

The one thing I am very impressed, and I have said is the produce. Very fresh, long shelf life, and great $$$$

I am a big fan of this local grocer! Since they moved from their previous location the shop has much more space and they have expanded their assortment of items.

Arash offers excellent prices on fresh produce, canned goods, dried fruit and all varieties of meat. One of the main reasons I continue to come back is their produce has a fairly long shelf life, as opposed to other grocers. I personally love the lamb for kabobs as well as the spice options for marinating. The sweets are also delicious, i recommend the puff pastry with different flavors of preserves.

If you are in the neighborhood, definitely stop in!

Best international supermarket I've been to anywhere in the Denver metro area.  It's Persian owned and run, so you'll find a wide selection of Persian items.  But also many fun, exotic imported food stuff from all over the world, such as Germany, Turkey, Israel, eastern Europe, etc.  You will find immigrant families from all origins shopping here.

What I love most are the fresh and outrageously underpriced fruits and vegetables, and their clean and well laid out space.  Too many international markets have a run down feel.  Not Arash.  It's crisp, modern, and efficient.

Parking can be a bit tight so come early on weekends.  I live in downtown Denver and bust all the way out there to shop.  It's that good.

Userful FYI:  It's pronounced "Awe-RASH".  Not "you're giving me a rash!"

The staff here are so friendly, it's worth coming here just for that. I'm surprised that I haven't seen anyone write that. They are very open, friendly, and hard working.
And, the products have such a wide variety and are so affordable! This grocery store really is a diamond in the rough. I strongly recommend that whenever you are looking for international food that you come here.
    Go to Arash!

Being from North Jersey and having had access to some of the best ethnic restaurants and markets, I was delighted to find Arash.

The prices are great.  The quality of the food is great.  The people who work there are very friendly.  I only wish I lived closer to it so I could get over there more frequently.

A couple of friends and I are making occasional trips to various international markets on Fridays and then spending the weekend getting to know the tastes we find there. Arash Market was our first stop and I have been going back ever since!

I'll try not to repeat what others have said and keep it simple.

    PROS -
You will pay less far, far less for fresher and better products than you will find regular grocery stores for the following:
Olives, Feta, CO lamb, pita, fresh herbs, yogurt

they also have killer specials - I've gotten some great bargains on things such as tomatoes and strawberries.

CONS - the shop is small and if it is crowded, there can be a long wait at the meat/deli counter and it can be hard to get around.  The parking lot is absurdly small as well.

I live in Westminster and stop here whenever I can for the olives alone. At $2/lb they are better and far cheaper than anything you will find in any grocery store, including the high-end places.

Do yourself a solid and wander Arash International Market. Stop by the deli and sample a variety of feta (the french is a knock out, better yet in scrambled eggs) and sold at ridiculously low prices. What truly makes this shop trip-worthy is the fresh hummus. Smooth and shiny, silky and light as soft whipped butter, I check ingredients every time I'm dipping into a tub (baby carrots skim nicely) and find nothing out of the ordinary that would account for such dreamy and divine texture. God bless the chick pea. The butcher block offers an interesting mix of ground beef and lamb (imagine that meatloaf) and produce ranges from identifiable to exotic (at least to a white girl from the 'burbs).

A great place not just for reasonably priced hard to find herbs, fruits and meats but also a great place for people watching and enjoying the shopping experience.
Love the whole grain lavash,Zergut feta cheese and dill there. A perfect appetizer. If you feel like cheating on your diet get the beef Mortadella to add to the wrap!
I haven't found local Colorado lamb any where for their price.
Hopefully some day there will an Arash in north Denver.

    Great place!

Arash International Market specializes in Middle Eastern and Russian products: Lavosh flatbreads the size of baby blankets, beautiful cuts of lamb and halal meats, spices, condiments, fresh produce, Persian ice cream, yogurt sold by the quart, and delicious juices/beverages.

Their parking lot is busy and tricky; so follow the line to the end of the lot, do a three point turn and take your turn parking in the next available space to avoid being chastised like Michael Keaton in the infamous "Mr. Mom" school drop off scene.

Excellent international food choices! Found items here that I couldn't find in some of the other International Markets in this area . . . . but, once again location, location, location is always the deciding factor.

Arash has two (2) serious problems that should have been considered before they opened this market. 1) It is in an old Blockbuster's location . . . which translates into very small for a market . . . especially one that supposedly carries a wide range of international specialty foods . . . this market has no room to grow . . . .and 2) PARKING! It is extremely limited, plus so small and blocked-in that it is difficult to manuveur without running the risk of hitting pedestrians and parked cars. It reminds me of the very limited parking for Trader Joe's in San Rafael, CA.

Recommendation: Yes, go if you are looking for something you can't find elsewhere, but go early before too many cars are in the lot. Consider carefully where you park.

I am in love with this place. Not only do they have cheap produce, but they have the best feta in town. I got a 1/2 lb of Bulgarian feta and 1/2 lb of Greek feta for under $4 total. It's hands down, the best feta I've ever had. Their produce is dirt cheap as well. Their green peppers and radishes cost less than any other place in town.

This place has lots of great deals on bulk dried items. Beans, lentils, rice and grains can all be found at a good price.

They had suprisingly good deals on meats, especially for this market to be as small as it is.

Even though this place is a little out of my way, I know I shall return!

(I think the International Market listing is more accurate name but here's my review on this one since it's the most reviewed and classified correctly, for some reason the other posting is under restaurants.)

One thing I miss sorely about Kansas City is the huge, affordable farmer's market, where you can buy spices by the scoop from a friendly Lebanese vendor and bulk fruits, vegetables, and nuts from various distributors.

Arash almost fills that gap, but it makes up for it by including affordable ground lamb, or even lamb/beef, and coffees, coffees, teas, juices...wow!  You can get a pound of delicious coffee for $4.99 here, that's half of what they want at just about anywhere else.  Same goes for cooking needs, like spices and oils, especially olive oil, where you can find for $5/6 bucks in sizes you find everywhere else for $7/8 (and that's after you get your "marked down" price).

It may not be your one stop grocery shop, but you will benefit from savings on oils, spices, meat grounds, vegetables, fruits & nuts, and coffees or teas.

Great, great, great, and cheap fresh produce.  It's run by Persians, but carries all the standard fruits and veggies, pita bread that not made from excess particle board shavings, and halal meats (which have never looked too appealing to me).  But the produce is worth the trip.  Limes 8 for $1???  Green peppers 2 or 3 for $1.  Always cheap.

Think Denver is a white-bread cow town?  Ok, maybe it mostly is, but you will see no fewer than 15 nationalities on any given trip here.   It's like the UN, but with food and no squabbling.

(Repeat -- This is also listed as a Deli in a separate link, same place though).

This is one of those reviews where you go to the business, you're so giddy and excited over the find, you can't wait to Yelp about it... but then it hits you: If I tell others... that means others will know...

And thus the dilemma I face(d).  But my find (and three other Yelpers, too!) is for more gain.

I happened across this store while on a rare cross-town trip to H-Mart.  I'm glad I sacrificed being 5 minutes late to work in order to check this place out.  It's so awesome.

They're not super-big, but for me, quality usually over rules quantity (unless it's toilet paper, in which case I'll buy in bulk -- ain't no thang).  And so speaking of quality, one of the most amazing facets (to me) is their $3-4/pound olives.  They're in a glass deli case, so it's not self-serve, but this is definitely the cheapest olive bar I've seen.  They may not have as wide a variety as Whole Paycheck, but for some basic kalamatas and greens (yeeeah tapenade!), this place can't be beat.

They also have a good selection of different yogurts and cheeses, along with an entire aisle-side of mostly Middle Eastern pastries.  You could get a nice mix of cookies/pastries for about $5/container and make new friends at the office.  And we all like new friends.  And pastries.  (But mainly pastries...)

Also, their produce is on. the. cheap.  Like, one of those small containers of blueberries for $0.79 cheap.  What I did notice was that the quality wasn't completely up to par (with, say, King Soopers).  BUT, if you live relatively close to this store, it'd be a great place to buy produce for a few days at a time, that way you can use it right away and still save money because it's so well-priced.  I was tempted to buy a giant container of blueberries so that I could make a buckle (drool), but alas I was already running late and the check-out lines were full-up.  It was 11 A.M. on a Friday and that produce section was buzzing (no doubt with people aware of the deals to be had).

Randomly coming across this place makes me kind of sad I no longer live in A-Town.  In fact, the money I might save on some avocados and berries would probably be canceled out by the gas to get over there from my current place.  However, H-Mart is a worthy excuse to make the trek over there (can't find mock duck in a can at Sunflower!), so next time I do I'll definitely be making another stop at Arash International Market.

So the Jewish grandmas promised to disown me if I give these guys my business.  But the grandmas also refused to vote for Obama and wanted me to quit my job 'cause my boss was German.  So I ignored them.

Ironically, it was one of the other defiant Jewish grandmas who told me about this store.  It's definitely more Middle Eastern grocery than anything else, but also has lots and lots Eastern European goodies (and customers and employees).

Their deli section is not for the faint-hearted, but I've had smoked fish from them, and it's great.  The fava beans (yeah yeah, bring on the the Chianti jokes) are about 1/3 of what they cost at Whole Foods.  The produce section was the best pleasant surprise--stuff was cheap(-ish) but fresh.  As opposed to rather suspicious quality produce in these types of ethnic stores in the area.  No wonder this store is very popular.

Anyway, I am very glad of this store as my latest discovery.  This is their new location, and it's a much better one than the previous one on Iliff.  Watch out for the very busy parking lot though...

This store has everything! From fresh olives, cheeses from all over the world (especially Greece, and Arab countries), to halal meats. Their produce department is clean and fresh. Bakery is great too, fresh doughs, and fresh baklava's.

Arash is a true ethenic grocery stop and a fun place to shop also. I like the sweet buns they sell. They taste great with a cup of milk! Also got to try their packaged sweets called "Bamieh" (May have misspelled there!) but these are small hush puppy size brown dessert drizzled in honey. Absolutely awesome.

I believe they are soon to relocate to a bigger better complex down the road across from H-Mart. At that time I will give them 5 star for sure, offcourse if their inventory hold up as well!
