Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse

We went last night for the Open Mic Comedy in the Green Room. The comedians were funny, with a few duds in there, but that can be expected of course in any stand up night. The jokes were varied and obviously not all of them are going to float your boat. The bartenders/waitresses did an outstanding job considering there were just two of them for the entire room. We never had to search for them and I only went up to the bar to close my tab.

We didn't order any food, but people were ordering food and one table ordered several dishes throughout the night - so I guess they were pleased.

If you do go for the comedy night make sure you get there early if you want to sit down. We got there at 9:45 (it starts at 10:30) and got the LAST places. We ordered pitchers since we knew it was going to be busy. It seemed fair priced to me ($17.50 for Fat Tire).

The only negatives were that it was a little too crowded since the room is so small. The other thing is that when we got there it was really unclear if we should wait in the line or just walk in. So, I went up to the front of the line to ask and the girl at the ticket counter was really rude to me. FYI, if you're going to comedy night, just skip the line and go into the first room on the left.

Overall though we had a great time and plan to go back again!

I really wish I could give this place more stars.  I'm sure this was an off night, but my experience here was so horrible that I couldn't give them any pity stars.

We went to see a comedy show on a Friday night.  The line operated smoothly, we got to our seats without a problem and promptly ordered drinks and food .... that never came.  We gently prodded our server, even asked the server adjacent to us to alert our server, but she was unable to reach him.  We even had to walk up to the bar ourselves (each table has its own server during the show, patrons aren't allowed to walk up to the bar themselves) to check on our order.  After our second gentle reminder to the bar, our server finally came to our table ... with the incorrect drinks.  Once our correct drink orders came out, we were disappointed to find that they had absolutely no alcohol in them.  I am not one to complain, but this service was so horrible and disturbing that the lack of attentiveness needed to be addressed.  We alerted the manager and he took $20 off of our $50 bill .. (?!?!).  Our food was still MIA by the end of the hour and a half show.

I was extremely disappointed by this experience, as I've had a good experience here a couple yrs ago.  We were told that the kitchen was "backed up" at the beginning of the night, but the venue wasn't packed by any means and the staff should be equipped to handle the amount of guests on a friday night, as they have comedy shows every weekend.

I went the the Arlngton Drafthouse for the first time on Friday.  I loved their Greek salad, I wanted to return the next day for another one.  The fried ice cream was also tasty. I'm looking forward to going back.
