TNT Bar

The drinks are 5 stars - delicious, inventive, customizable, and unpretentious. Unlike other speakeasy-type places, you don't need a reservation, and you can stay as long as you like. The bartenders are happy to listen to your general liquor preferences and make you something special. But I'm not sure how often I'll be back.... First, $13+ per drink is to be expected in DC proper, but this place is located in 'nondescript' Arlington in one of those manufactured live/play apartment communities, so I was expecting more reasonable prices. Second, this place is hard to find - yes, it's in Eamonn's, but good luck seeing that sign from the street. When you see the Giant and Redrock's, turn in and park in the Giant garage. Eamonn's signage is basically a dark colored "E" on the window. Once inside, the decor is upscale and lux, especially for a pub/bar, and the bartenders are great. If the food offerings were more diverse, and if the drink prices came down a couple of dollars, I'd be willing to forgive the ineffective signage and give this place 5 stars.

Small space but excellent unique handcrafted drinks.  Yum!  Grab a cocktail to enjoy with your fish and chips which is attached to the bar.

TNT Bar is an awesome mixologist bar with creative and interesting cocktails. Of course being owned by Todd Thrasher, General Manager/Sommelier/Liquid Savant of Restaurant Eve and partner of PX, The Majestic, and Society Fair, how can it not be good? Unlike the fine dining of Restaurant Eve and the quaint speakeasy PX, TNT Bar is a rock-n-roll bar that's decorated in a very rocker/biker style, the colors red and black most predominant, with rock music blaring throughout the bar.

As a fan of egg white cocktails, I love their "I'll Make You Banana Pancakes." Egg white cocktails are difficult to perfect; however, I think if done well, egg whites provide a creamy texture that works very well in certain drinks, "I'll Make You Banana Pancakes" being one of these drinks. It's made with Crown Royal Canadian whiskey, lemon juice, bananas pecan syrup, and of course, egg white. The flavor and balance is perfect.

Another favorite and highly recommended cocktail is "Thymes Like These," made with Citadelle gin, Cocchi Americano, thyme lime mixture, and housemade Kaffir bitters.

Excellent cocktails, rock-n-roll soundtrack, and fish-and-chips snacks (TNT is located in the back of a counter service Eammon's, the fish-and-chips joint), the effect of TNT is a fun and unique bar unlike anything else in DC.

Only downside may be that it's not located on any Metro line, so you have to either drive, carpool, cab, or bus over to this place. However, it's worth the experience.
