I agree that the prices are a bit steep - but this is the Loop and when you compare $ to other lunch choices in the area (like Panera Bread) they are not that far off the mark. Â At every visit, I am greeted with super friendly cashiers and great food choices. Â I don't get the harsh ratings. Â The soups are pretty good, as well as the sandwiches. Â I would advise that you take advantage of coupons or the coffee "club" to get better deals.
Review Source:I'm going to have to SERIOUSLY avoid this joint in the morning hours because their pastry section is pretty stacked. Â I saw a chocolate croissant that looked incredible.
Lunch, however, is a flurry of specialty sandwiches, salads and soups. Â They have a great sandwich selection, which is an absolute godsend for Union Station. Â I've been waiting patiently for Au Bon Pain to open it's doors since the only other sandwich shop closed down a few months ago.
My Arizona Chicken Sandwich (all natural grilled chicken, cheddar, romaine, tomatoes, and chili dijon mustard on sun-dried tomato bread) was freshly prepared by a smiling, enthusiastic team of ladies. Â
Since the location is so new, there was a manager-type gal directing the flow of traffic to get clientele acclimated to how things work at Au Bon Pain, which was VERY much appreciated.
