I LOVE BABA PALACE.
$1 chai
$2 Mango Lassi
$2 Naan
Such good chicken masala dish.
The ambience doesn't try to be trendy. Â It's an Indian/Pakistani restaurant. Â When I lived in this neighborhood, I used to frequent this place; sometimes to do homework, even though it is a ridiculous place to study. Â I still come back for a chai every couple months.
DON'T DO IT!!!
This is hands down the worst indian food I've ever almost eaten. I threw it out after a few bites. I ordered paneer makhani (my favorite). It tasted like ketchup and water mixed with a few chunks of old indian cheese.
And the counter woman, while nice enough, was utterly clueless. She asked me 3 times if I wanted rice. Umm... Duh. Does paneer ever come without rice? They gave me enough rice to feed an indian village. Like they weren't sure how much to give me because??
The "vegetarian falafel" was tasteless. The falafel was microwaved and put on top of yellow American cheese with a small side of mediocre salad. When I arrived, there was no one there and yet, I still gave them a chance. Once I ordered, I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. As soon as I walked in, it smelled and looked as if the black waters from the city ran through there. Never been cleaned before. This is a place I would never recommend.
